Posted May 26, 20159 yr For example, How can I make this scheme? I already have Lego Digital Designer but I don't see a similiar functions to make this work
May 26, 20159 yr LDD doesn't have such a function but you still can make images like those if you use an image editor too, such as Photoshop or Gimp. For making such images, you usually play with the Hide tool in LDD and make screenshots of the various non-hidden part-setups without moving the camera (varying what's hidden and what is not on a screenshot), then you copy these images on top of each other in an image editor software that supports layers and then you can play with the layers' opacity values to create that effect. Then simply you save/export the images as .jpg, or .png or whatever regular image format. Edited May 26, 20159 yr by Lipko
May 27, 20159 yr There is o ne odio those programs, better than LDD for Mac? LPub (instructions) and LDView (viewer) run on Mac, but MLCad (editor) does not. Bricksmith is the standard editor for Mac. All of these tools use the LDraw part library. If your goal is to create Technic instructions, I'm afraid LDD is not of much use. It is not compatible with LDraw and therefore the files cannot be used to create instructions in LPub.
May 27, 20159 yr Yes, moving.... Whoa look at all these Technic folk in the LDD forum If your goal is to create Technic instructions, I'm afraid LDD is not of much use. It is not compatible with LDraw and therefore the files cannot be used to create instructions in LPub. You can always use LDD's "Export model" option in the file menu, then choose to save it as *.LDR. Just make sure you have the latest ldraw.xml in your LDD install folder. And of course the model will most likely need some tidying up afterwards :B
