Blip Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 (edited) Edit: found the answer to my original question :D The only problem I appear to be having now is due to LDD's own method of writing lxfml files -- where I have custom decals named 00506.png for example (yes, I have a LOT of decals, since native LDD has so few!), it saves the file and the decoration string points only to "506", omitting the zeroes. It means everytime I want to render a file in BR I'd need to do a temporary copy of the lxf file and modify it by hand to point to all the correct decoration filenames. Not insurmountable,to be sure, but certainly annoying, and a totally pointless move by TLG as far as I can see. That and an issue with transparent bricks - is there a quick answer to how to make them render trans, or is this not something that can be fixed? Absolutely love seeing so far what people have been able to do with BR - just a fantastic app (and one that won't kill my poor laptop!). Can't wait to start showing my own off too :D Cheers! Jey_Bee Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 (edited) try google for it since the plugin are no longer in eurobricks. Not very helpfull. :( I try much variation auf "sunflow, bluerender, bublible" etc. and all useable results links to "here" (eurobricks). :( Have anyone a working "actual" Version of bublible´s sunflow-mod? (Please PM me) I use at the moment a variation of @Malou MAC Version of bublible´s sunflow mod. http://www.eurobrick...75#entry2453204 works fine on PC ... BUT... create bad graphic-glitches on street-baseplanes. :( Edited May 29, 2016 by Jey_Bee Quote

Jey_Bee Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) this is the example from sunflow mod I (we) know how looks the renders with sunflow mod. ;) The real question is: WHERE WE GET THIS MOD! :( Can you send me you Bluerender Sunflowmod via PM!? (PC?) Or post here a downloadlink? Edited June 1, 2016 by Jey_Bee Quote
SylvainLS Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 AFAICT, there were no reference to a licence for Bublible’s work (at least in the archives he distributed, there may have been something in his posts but he erased all the contents). Even though Bublible included the source files within the jar/zip files, that says nothing about what distribution rights we actually have for his works, so we have none. And considering how thoroughly he left this forum… well… I don’t think that will change soon. Quote
Jey_Bee Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) Ok.. i got 2 versions of bublible´s sunflow mod. But booth had some bad graphic-glitches at the street-groudplates. :( They looks so: Have other sunflow-mod useres the same problem? When not... what i doing wrong? All other renderings (Without street-plates) works best and looks fine. :) Edited June 2, 2016 by Jey_Bee Quote
msx80 Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 hi there, i'm not very present lately, it's bad to see that bubliebe left the site. I don't have the mod myself, sorry. PS thanks everybody for using bluerender! I saw it's been used estensively in latest digital competitions, that's great to see :D Quote

All other renderings (Without street-plates) works best and looks fine. :) Seems to be a general issue. I have the same problem (using bublible's mod). So you aren't doing anything wrong. Anyone with msx's original version can try ? But maybe it's a bug in ldd's parts lib and the texture mapping is incorrect ? Edited June 6, 2016 by M2m Quote
M2m Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I think I posted this in the wrong topic. So I hope this is the right thread. But there seems to be a problem with the following piece rendered: Brick with bow 1x5x4 inv 30099 The Lego stud logo is place incorrectly. I attach a picture and LDD file The Lego logo seems to be added at the upper (left) corner of the "bounding" box - while both studs miss the logo: Grab the test file here: http://bricksafe.com...es/m2m/test.lxf I am using LDD 4.3.9 Partslib 2075. Not sure if the this a problem with the part itself, or my problem, or a general one. Quote
KamalMYafi Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) @msx80 Thanks for making a rendering software for LDD, because LDD2PovRay never work to me. Ok.. i got 2 versions of bublible´s sunflow mod. Where did you get it? I really want that mod. (PC) Edited June 7, 2016 by KamalMYafi Quote

Diesel Lover Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Er, it’s the horizon…. Here's another one. I got both settings on #cccccc Quote
SylvainLS Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Yes, #cccccc is a light gray when it’s under the light but it’s darker for a far away background. If you change the background color, you’ll see the effect on the “stripe.” I think there was a way to have nearly the same colors (once rendered) discussed hereabout. Maybe something about obtaining a nearly uniform background in order to more easily cut it, to have a transparent background. Quote
Diesel Lover Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Yeah, last night I was tinkering around with it, and set the first setting at cccccc and the second as white, and it came out crisp and clear. Quote
inkpanther Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) Or you could simply remove the plane altogether. There's a scene.sc file in Bluerender directory which allows you to modify rendering options much more than the program itself. If you want to hide the plane, just change n 0 1 0 to n 0 0 0 in section commented # Here we define our plane. This way the ground plane won't be visible and the whole background will be uniform. Edit: as a side effect, there won't be any shadow under your build. Default plane: No plane: Mirror: Edited June 13, 2016 by inkpanther Quote
