-JD- Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Good idea thinking it was River in the suit! Did anyone else notice that TARDIS the Silents had was the one from a last series episode? The one with Smithy. I wonder how they are linked! Quote
Ceroknight Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Uh oh, River is Amy's child! Another theory I had about River Song was her being the Doctor's daughter from the episode way back Quote
-JD- Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) Holy moly that was good! But what's with the time-lord Amy's daughter and River Song saying it was the last time they would kiss, when they're supposed to get married? Oh, and those Silents got their butts kicked. simonjedi Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 The end, with the little girl. That Episode was a mix of Creepy and WTF. Quote
AndyC Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 But what's with the time-lord Amy's daughter and River Song saying it was the last time they would kiss, when they're supposed to get married? Well we don't know that it was Amy's daughter, only that there was a photo of Amy holding a baby. It's possible she was holding someone else's baby I guess. As for River, it seems to have been established at some point (not sure when) that her meetings with the doctor are in reverse order, so the first time he kisses her will be the last time she kisses him, from her point of view. Series is stating off really well so far, although I have a feeling it'll end with a typical 'change the past so it didn't happen the same way' thing to circumvent the death of the doctor. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 The episode was good, and made the two parter better, in my opinion. I found it odd that the Doctor's plan included forcing Humans to commit mass genocide against antoher race, though I enjoyed the ending with Nixon; the Frost references were funny. I look forward to next weeks episode; it looks different from things we've seen before (at least in setting), and I enjoyed Hugh Bonneville in Downton Abbey. Here's the prequel, heres coping the captain survives his ordeal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOzXBPqPMWs&feature=player_embedded#at=72 Quote
Ceroknight Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Just saw it...wow mind blown! I hope there will be more episodes of the Silents in the future So the next time the Doctor meets River Song will be the first time River Song meets him? I don't if this is just me...but every time the Doctor regenerates, it seems he is getting younger... If this is more than a coincidence, the little girl can be the Doctor's daughter I mentioned before regenerated alot and the baby Amy is holding can also be her, regenerated even more.... Hope that makes sense Quote
simonjedi Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Did anyone realise it was a 9 month gap between 'I'm Pregnant' and the regeneration? (3 Months between 601 and 602, and the regeneration was 6 months after that.) It probably means nothing, but I just thought it was an interesting detail. Quote
Ceroknight Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Oods are back next week! And was that woman Amy saw River Song? Quote
The Crazy One Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) I wonder how Rory and Amy's realationship is going to develop as we have got to the point where Rory seems to be getting more and more paranoid about the Doctor and Amy. I know they try and set it right at the end of every episode but every time he gets more and more jealous[?] EDIT: I enjoyed this episode. I thought it was nice to see the inner TARDIS and also how older TARDIS control rooms are included within the structure of the TARDIS, and Sexy was brilliant! I really enjoyed hearing her opinion of the Doctor. I was hoping we would end up with a talking TARDIS but maybe thats a step too far. I also really like how this series is more confident with change, but no so dramatically as to destroy traditions. It really is making the Tennat era seem average. simonjedi Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) Dear Mr Gaiman please write more episodes of Doctor who! Loved the episode. Matt knocked it out of the park acting wise. Seeing 9/10's TARDIS was rad. It's in pretty good shape considering they trashed the shit out of it during the regeneration. It looked good in green. Peppermint_M Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 "Did you wish very hard?" My favourite quote. The actress was channeling Helena Bonham Carter. She was fantastic. I knew this episode would be fab, Neil Gaiman is one of my favourite writers and everything that he writes is fantastic (even is sometimes themeaticly it is not my thing) one of my top episodes. "The pretty one?!" Quote

-JD- Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Wow. I'm so pumped for the mid-series finale! Trailer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/videos/p00h7m4l Quote
simonjedi Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Moffat really knows how to do his Cliffhangers, it reminds me of the Silurian episodes from last season. except this two parter was good. Best Line: 'Reverse the Jelly Baby of the Neutron flow!' Quote
Jargo Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Rebel flesh/almost people is the best Doctor who story since the reboot in 2005. A combination of great script, fantastic direction and tight editing. The special FX weren't very special but they didn't need to be with everyone acting their socks off and giving the story a real feeling of menace and peril. Proper kid scaring Doctor Who finally. This should be the benchmark the DW team work to. The tone was perfect. Deeply satisfying viewing. Quote
Mr Man Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Best Line: 'Reverse the Jelly Baby of the Neutron flow!' So good especial as they layered Jon, and Tom's voices on to Matt's good throwback. Rebel flesh/almost people is the best Doctor who story since the reboot in 2005. The special FX weren't very special. Proper kid scaring Doctor Who finally. Yeah. It would be great if they did an episode with glow in the dark bubble wrap as an enemy as a special tribute . Cybermen next episode I think in: A Good Man Goes To War Quote
The Crazy One Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Moffats retiring Daleks! To commonly defeated apparently. Quote

Jargo Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Only for this series, they might be back in series 7/8, (or 3/4 or 33/34 depending on which numbering system you use), he's just resting the Daleks for a bit. Quote
