The Crazy One Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Its fair enough. Maybe Daleks might take the "If you cant beat them, join them" attitude. Quote
Lance Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 WOW I could not beleive that River is Amy's daughter! But does this mean she does kill the Doctor? Quote
Ceroknight Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 WOW I could not beleive that River is Amy's daughter! But does this mean she does kill the Doctor? DUDE NOT COOL!!! You should have at least put a spoiler on that comment Here in Canada we are two weeks behind so the conclusion of the rebel flesh hasn't even aired yet!! Quote

That's what you get for living in Canada of all places. I'm messing but if it's aired in the Queen's Own Time Zone () then it is technically fair game for discussion.Don't worry though, the 2/3 episodes preceding that is worth it. (IMO the reveal is kinda lame.) Quote

Also, Rory gets converted into a Cyberman, the Doctor marries an Ood (Very controversial) and Amy's legs got sexier. EDIT: I also just watched it. Loved it. Edited June 4, 2011 by The crazy one Quote
Lance Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Opps! I should have put a spoiler warning! My bad! Quote
Mr Man Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 (edited) Also, Rory gets converted into a Cyberman. Ah but which type? Seriously I have seen flame wars and death threats over whether the Cybermen in; the Pandorica Opens, Blood Of The Cybermen, and A Good Man Goes To War, are Cybus men or Mondas men. DUDE NOT COOL!!! You should have at least put a spoiler on that comment. Here in Canada we are two weeks behind so the conclusion of the rebel flesh hasn't even aired yet!! Well I didn’t look on here until I had watched the episode to avoid spoilers. Edited June 5, 2011 by Mr Man Quote
Stegoceras Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Well I didn’t look on here until I had watched the episode to avoid spoilers. To be honest I did look here before so was spoilered a bit, but it wasn't something I hadn't seem coming, they were hinting at it several times in previous episodes. All in all a very enjoyable episode and even with the spoiler here it's still a good episode which anwsers a good amount of questions and opens up a good few new ones. Can't wait for the series to continue. Quote

Really? God i hate fandom sometimes. The Moffat-era Cybers are Mondas Cybermen. It doesn't have the Cybus logo (Other than TPO, but that was time/budget issues) They kept the Cybus outfits, (Dunno the inuniverse reason) but i don't mind that, the design is rad. Incedently the opening of 'A good man' was the coolest opening. Rory was a badass and the doctor blows up an entire Cyberfleet just to prove a point. Quote
Jargo Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Despite there not really being an army following the Doctor and not very much happening in the episodein real terms that was a spectacularly spiffing episode. Definitely on a par with some of the higher budget American sci-fi shows. Francis Barber was a great choice to play the villain. The eye patch made me chuckle reminding me of Travis from Blake's 7. The sets were great and the episode really felt cinematic. So many cool moments. the silurian tongue gag really made me choke on a mug of tea. very naughty mr. moffat haha. Quote
Darth CJ Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 That was one way to end a series!!! But it is not back til september however I'm fine cus I got this thread! Quote

Yeah that's what I figured but some people won't stop with the magic-escape-from-the-void-device that the cybusmen MUST have had handy. And the new design is good, not as creepy as the very first designs though. My reasoning for the shared design is that a cyberman from the pandorica fell through a crack in time into Pete's world and Lumic liked it. I thought that the opening was really the best thing bout it really, the whole episode was a bit anticlimactic really, the best bits where the silu ecu homo re er Lizard woman and her maid. Oh and it was the 12 cyberlegion not a cyberfleet . Quote
Ceroknight Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Caught up and I must agree those were really good episodes! Hitler's next! Quote
Mr Man Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Hitler's next! Though I really wonder how a kill Hitler episode will solve this two parter. Quote

Sandy Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 So, did anyone watch the first episode of the new season of Torchwood? I have to say that the prospect of nobody dying is highly disturbing, when you think of the consequences (explosive growth in population, living and feeling pain no matter how small pieces you are torn into etc.) . Of course this is all linked to Jack Harkness losing his immortality , but it'll be intriguing to see how the plot twists and turns during it's ten-episode length. The switch from "monster of the week" style to a continuous plot is an interesting one, but there's always the risk that the story suffers from being stretched that long. None of the new American characters struck me as very interesting either, but at least there's always Jack and Gwen. <3 Quote

I prefer this method of the series being the series arch, much better to try and work out than the 'arcs' of DW. Quote
simonjedi Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I'm still annoyed that THE GLORIOUS MOTHERLAND has to wait to wait to see a Doctor Who product after everyone else. (I mean Come on...) Quote

Ceroknight Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I watched it last night and I really like it, the idea is very interesting, and I have a feeling the Captain will become the Face in this season Quote

As 'arcs' from those series goes, I found his really interesting, I'm sure his transformation shall be too! Quote

I think the Face is one of the most interesting characters of all! He's like Gandalf of Dr Who! The fact that the Captain is the Face was mindblowing! But since the Captain isn't immortal here, there's a possibility he will lose his body kinda... Quote

I really don't think the Face of Boe will be making an appearacne any time soon. Quote
Internets Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Jack as the Face Of Boe should be swept under the carpet and forgotten about. Quote
