Did you accidentally forget 'Journey's end' or did you mentally block it out?

I just plain forgot about it, It was terrible and thankfully I can't remember by which contrived means they ended it.

The peoples of The Earth chanting.

That was a really goofy solution. I thought a much better way of ending that would have been that Martha's traveling and talking about the Doctor would have ingrained such respect and reverence for the Doctor in the human race that they would never had agreed to side with the Master.

Last i've heard it's returning late 2012 all the way to 2013. It's too far away to confirm the appearances of any companions and guest stars really.

Benedict Cumberbatch to play the Doctor please. :classic:

Well this is stupid. The fans will be annoyed that it's an unrelated relaunch, devoid of continuity, and anyone who is unfamiliar with the property will either watch it, then be confused when the show is different, or just not care to begin with.

while i'm moaning : 'American writers' '"It needs quite a radical transformation"' ' LA-based BBC Worldwide Productions,' 'Los Angeles.' does not fill me with confidence. They tried it in 1996, and this movie won't have Paul Mcgann and his rad TARDIS to save it.

In all seriousness, how can they radically change it without destroying it? What will they do? Scrap the Tardis? Make the Doctor a commando?

Seems to still be broken - it's probably a problem I'm having with my browser. Thanks anyway.

Johnny Depp is going to be the Doctor isn't he? He seems to have a hard-on for twee britishy things. I hope he isn't. He's pretty much been coasting on his weird bromance with Tim Burton and the PotC movies for ages.

This is worrying news but then I've found the whole re-launched DW very hit and miss from the off (I'm still glad it's back though).

If they took the movie back to a Hartnell era origin type story it could actually be pretty good. I'd vote for Bill Nighy as the Doctor.

I heard the news on the radio earlier today, and it's possibly the worst then that can happen to DW . Maybe if when the show gets to Doctor no 13 and he dies they'll have to do something with the show, but America isn't the way to go at all.

I thought the whole 12 regeneration thing was gone now due to the destruction of the timelords? The master regenerated and he'd already used all his regenerations. Even if I'm wrong about that, it would be easy to get around... he could steal somebody else's body like The Master used to, or he could become a Cyberman

EDIT: An interesting little article on why we should or shouldn't panic about a movie here. Some dodgy Who 'facts' in there though.

Bill Bailey? In Doctor Who? I think the mother in the clip sums it up well:

I do like Moff's idea of taking classic stories and 'doctoring' them up for Xmas specials instead of RTD's idea of... erm?

And End of time.

Not really a Christmas special just a season finale that happened to land on christmas. The next doctor was also kinda stupid.
