5150 Lego Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I have a question, i know there's no catagory for it, but what about fire trailers? I built a trailer to go with an engine i built (not a 100% orginal. Based on a set(can't remeber the number right now)) Can i enter my fire trailer? Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted September 16, 2007 Author Posted September 16, 2007 Ill search but If I cant find it would interviewing the resident mommy raise my chances X-D :-D I have a question, i know there's no catagory for it, but what about fire trailers? I built a trailer to go with an engine i built (not a 100% orginal. Based on a set(can't remeber the number right now)) Can i enter my fire trailer? Could you send me a PM with pics of the trailer? Then I'll see if I can fit it into one of the categories. ;-) Quote

Lasse D Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Wow. There really is quite some competition in this one! A great rendering Isotope. Just remember to post it in the entries thread for it to be counted. Quote
Asuka Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Hello and welcome, Isotope. What a nice and shiny entry! *y* Quote

SpartanML Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 (edited) Hiya folks! I'm not seen often on here but I can't pass up a firetruck competition! Heres a teaser of my trucks I'm entering for this contest. For the ladder: 1990/2007 Mack CF/95' Scope/Seagrave For the Engine: 2006 Pierce Dash And for the ARFF... If anyone is wondering this rig is an Amertek MACI Crash truck used by the US Military The Engine pic. Edited September 26, 2007 by SpartanML Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 Hi and welcome, Mike! It's nice to see that this contest is getting some entries from the LFD-society! :-) Did Paul tell you about the contest? (I'm sanlegofd) Opps! Sorry,i had forgotten i had askedabout my fire trailer. I'lll get you a Pic and even post it up here when i get off of work! Gee, is it even legal with that long workdays? *wacko* :'-( Great entries so far, everybody, but we need more entries !! ;-) (at least for the ladder and ARFF categories! :'-( ) Build ON! Quote
Siegfried Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 simonwillems Great entry! *wub* While I have heard of Messerschmitt cars, I have never heard of a fire engine one. Is this just a wacky idea of yours? 8-| Quote
simonwillems Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 simonwillems Great entry! *wub* While I have heard of Messerschmitt cars, I have never heard of a fire engine one. Is this just a wacky idea of yours? 8-| Thanks! I must admit: the fire-engine version is just a whacky idea... It would have been the most unpractical firetruck ever if it had excisted.. :-D Messerschmitt on! Quote
Siegfried Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Thanks! I must admit: the fire-engine version is just a whacky idea... It would have been the most unpractical firetruck ever if it had excisted.. :-D Well that's a relief! :-P With that weight on top it would probably roll on corners... Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Great messerschmitt idea, Simon! X-D I shall accept that as an entry. ;-) Come on, people! Two days left to enter my contest! :-D Quote
simonwillems Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I shall accept that as an entry. ;-) I am most grateful! :-) Quote
Siegfried Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Great messerschmitt idea, Simon! X-D I shall accept that as an entry. ;-) Errr... just to clarify, I wasn't implying his entry was invalid.... 8-| In fact I think it might even win. Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Errr... just to clarify, I wasn't implying his entry was invalid.... 8-| In fact I think it might even win. I didn't say you implied that. ;-) Simon said that his entry wasn't fully minifig scale, but I accept it anyways! ;-) I too think he has good chances! *wub* Fire On! Quote
simonwillems Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Lasse D yoour crashtender looks even greater now that it's finished! It has my vote and I'm glad my entries do not compete against it, being in a different category... *y* Quote
Lasse D Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) Now you beat me to commenting on you own entry. Thank you, but that is one fine little Messerschmitt! It was instantly recognizable. There is some stiff competition in this contest from City-type trucks to those you see from LEGO-firetruck enthusiast sites! I wanted to have a clear windscreen, but I couldn't get it before deadline. There is also another brick that isn't completely correct in the back as well - let's see if anyone can spot it. Is there a bonus for playability such as light & sound or motors? I love to see a group of firetrucks blinking in a city layout in the evening *wub* (... which makes one wonder why I didn't include it in my own entry.) Edited October 4, 2007 by Lasse D Quote

I love to see a group of firetrucks blinking in a city layout in the evening *wub* (... which makes one wonder why I didn't include it in my own entry.) Well, that could have been a nice category, I do have a firetruck (I made a long time ago) with blinking lights to enter.... Perhaps we can make a contest next with Light&Sound vehicles..? Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 Hey gang, I'm extending the deadline to the 8th. This is because I have a Sh!tload of homework and LOTS of other things that keeps me busy.. Therefore I can't enter my own entries nor make the poll right now.. *sing* Sorry if I got any of you stressed.. :-$ Sorry.... Fire On Quote
Siegfried Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Lasse D Nice ARFF entry. *wub* I'm glad that it doesn't compete with my entry! :-P It is good to see somene else using those larger wheels. I found them hard to work in and keep the truck low but I think they look much better. Quote
Lasse D Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 *wub* With lights in the front and all! I'm all for a light, sound or motor competition. Has that kind of competition even been done before? And thanks Sinner. A lot of love towards your model as well - mostly because of the fine detail that doesn't show right away such as place for two minifigs next one another (such as in MengShu1985's firetruck). Did you use jumper bricks or are they just sitting on tiles? (And how did MengShu1985 do it?) Regarding those wheels I actually have the opposite problem. The real truck has quite some ground clearance which makes it look very tall in LEGO. Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 The contest is officially closed for entries ! *sing* The poll will be up someday.. :-$ Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 (edited) Well.... Since Uniquebuilder stated that there is a laddertruck shortage at the moment.... I though I might as well throw in my "ladder". It is not exactly minifig scale (slightly bigger) but it is the only ladder-vehicle I have and it is something different from all other ladder entries. Here it is, my Messerschmitt-ladder: Messerschmittcars like this one actually excist.... X-D (click to enlarge) That is way cool! *y* Edited October 7, 2007 by Captain green hair Quote
