Kai NRG Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 (edited) Location: G08 Tags: Spaceship, Vehicle, Building The deserts of Xerillian are a perfect spot to have some fun with Octan's latest little scout speeders! Inside the base, other Octan members go about their jobs: Octan's latest development, the RaizR, is perfectly designed for rapid scouting or spying, equipped with all the latest technology developed in Octan's outstanding labs! A closer shot of the bot: This was a very enjoyable build, I'm starting to like this sort of stuff! All the stickers are LEGO. They sorta spiffed things up a bit I thought, but I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on them as well! Edited June 9, 2015 by Kai NRG Quote
mrcp6d Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 That's a really cool cross-section of a base! The curve is awesome Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Excellent scene! The base is lovely! I adore the slope you fit there! At first I thought I was looking at plates on the interior of an arch piece, but this is far more novel! I love that your half cylinder wall works on both sides! It sort of reminds me of the rebel base on Hoth! (Even though we're probably closer to the Empire, all things considered. ) and the speeder is great too! Love that you've featured red!Pombe and Jebediah helping you test out the craft! I don't have the twins torso too, so I may feature red!Pombe too if/when I feature him in one of my buulds! great work! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Sweet little scout speeder! Lovely rounded bunker too Quote
pombe Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Great scene in the desert with the speeder and great scene inside the base! I love the curve! Quote
LittleJohn Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Excellent little speeder and base! I really like how the entrance slopes down Quote
deraven Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Nice little build. I too think the wall technique is awesome, and the overall SNOTiness of the base works really well! How stable is that rounded wall? It'd look great on a ship, if it can stand up to some swooshing! Quote
Big Sal Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 That curving wall and the ramp at the entrance - fantastic! Quote
Boxerlego Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Great Build! I like the robot the speeder looks awesome too. Quote
shmails Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Wow, love the whole scene. The speeder with the ion plume out the back, the curved wall is well done, and the overall scene is great! Quote
Space Terrapin Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Oh, I really like that curved wall technique. Might have to try and replicate it some time! The little droid is great too! Quote
Garmadon Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Excellent build Kai, I'll echo those above about the curved wall! Nice little bot and speeder as well! Quote

Yes, Pombe got a new suit. I was running out of time to try to find a closer match! Thank you! Nice little build. I too think the wall technique is awesome, and the overall SNOTiness of the base works really well! How stable is that rounded wall? It'd look great on a ship, if it can stand up to some swooshing! As long as you use enough arches at fairly close intervals and as long as they are well stuck to the rest of the SHIP it's fairly stable! Thanks! Quote
