The landscape of Xerillian is, frankly, bleak. Sand and rocks as far as the eye can see. Due to the sandy surface, I left my jetpack on the Lone Hawk and grabbed one of Octan’s Jaguar 4x4s. These things are just about as much fun as a minifig can have on four wheels! I cruised around on Xerillian for a few days and noted mainly scorpion-like insects crawling through the sand. (Luckily I didn’t encounter any of the mantis creatures Bob of Quatrian noted in his report the other day!) These scorpions are freakishly fast though—they can almost keep pace with my Jaguar at half speed. I believe they are the same species Big Z sent to Dr. Long. Apparently most of the planet can support their life and they have appeared in two colorings—black (common) and dark red (rare). I wonder if Dr. Long has discovered anything useful about them yet? I took some shots at a few of them the other day with my rifle. They sure do have a tough shell on them. Eagle-Eye out.

I'll post some standalone pics of the Jaguar next weekend. I'm pretty pleased with it! You can't really see it from the pics so far, but all four wheels have "independent" suspension.

C&C appriciated!

Wow, just wow! The Jaguar is awesome! Really? Independent suspension? That's super awesome!

I love it, great story with keeping everyone in the loop. Great photography well.

Great work again!

"suspension" may have been too strong a word, but they are independently articulated.

Thank you! I figured since team Octan has been tying each other in for the last couple weeks, I might as well jump on the bandwagon.

Thanks!

Fantastic work with the Jaguar! Nice base too

Love the Jaguar! The lights on the front are awesome, and I can totally imagine them playing on the ground as he roves around at night. The pipes are a great touch too.

Cool exploration buggy and great landscaping!

Awesome build! I like the looks of the Exploration buggy. :classic: Also I too wonder what Dr long has going on with her scorpion research.

Fantastic Buggy! It really has that rough and tough look you want from a vehicle like that. Great work!

Awesome vehicle. I like the exposed tubes a lot. Gives it a rough and tumble feel.

Sweet ride! The lights on the front make it look like it was built for exploring, and the sand looks excellent too.

Really nice little vehicle, goes very nicely with the terrain. :)

Really nice little vehicle! Looks very all-terrain-ish!

Sweet buggy and landscaping, mrcp6d! Great little details on the vehicle, like the weapon holster, fuel tanks and suspension.

Most important thing to learn about those scorpions is, are they any good to eat? If so, send a few MANTIS' way. Looks like we're having to subsist off bananas for the time being...

Very sweet build, mrcp6d, the landscaping is quite nice, but the rover certainly steals the show!:thumbup:

The judges awarded you 3 points.
