just2good Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Here's a look at the smallest set - the Piggy Car Escape! And, a little size comparison. Seems like the figures are three bricks tall. Quote
Robert8 Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Is LEGO actually calling "minifigures" to those things? Quote
HawkLord Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 The mold line on the yellow bird... I can almost see through him... Quote
Exetrius Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Thanks for the reviews, Just2Good! A question: are the bird arms detachable? Also, could anyone here provide a picture of the captain hat (from Piggy Pirate Ship) on a standard minifig, I'd like to know how oversized it is! Quote
just2good Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the reviews, Just2Good! A question: are the bird arms detachable? Also, could anyone here provide a picture of the captain hat (from Piggy Pirate Ship) on a standard minifig, I'd like to know how oversized it is! I'm not sure if they're detachable. I don't want to ruin the figure, but it feels like it's a different connection than minifigure arms. Also, I don't have the Pirate Ship set yet. Are those printed tiles? Yes! Here's a look at the Bird Island Heist! (there's some nice stickered 2x2 tiles) Edited March 23, 2016 by just2good Quote
Robert8 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 The mold line on the yellow bird... I can almost see through him... IKR? That looks so poorly made Quote
just2good Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Here's a look at the Pig City Teardown set! Quote
Exetrius Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 When I first heard that there would be an Angry Birds line, I was skeptical that they could translate the concept of the game into a LEGO set. That said, the playability of the set is surprisingly good, imo. Looks like a lot of fun! Quote
Ultron Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Stella is so cute. She's definitely my favorite of the figs in this series. Quote
jonwil Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Do you only get the one hot dog bun in the Pig City set? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Do you only get the one hot dog bun in the Pig City set? Yep Quote
Robert8 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 (edited) Do you only get the one hot dog bun in the Pig City set? In this line, yes But you can get it in the Fun at the Park set, next August Edited April 1, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
jonwil Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure if the set had the one bun or if it came with multiple. Looks like it comes with multiple eggs though :) Quote
BrickFit26 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Really nice reviews. The sets look so fun. Quote
CM4Sci Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Went to Target today - 0 Angry Birds sets. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong place (which I doubt) but aren't they supposed to be out? Quote
Rookie875 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Went to Target today - 0 Angry Birds sets. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong place (which I doubt) but aren't they supposed to be out? Mine too... but luckily i was planning on going to the LEGO store anyways to get the Mr. Freeze polybag. Getting back on topic, has anyone noticed there is a blue egg in the Castle set? Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) I must say after I seen some reviews I think design wise this series is complete win! Shame the minifigures aren't Legolised enough. They are indeed very beautiful but as many people say- not very Lego. Castle is must have! And I really want army of green pigs... KlodsBrik Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Went to Target today - 0 Angry Birds sets. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong place (which I doubt) but aren't they supposed to be out? Here in Denmark the sets have been out at a toptoy shop called "BR", for at least a month. They arent selling really well here for some reason. Quote
Borex Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) I think the sets look pretty Fabulesk. For people with fabuland figs this can be a welcome addition i guess. Could someone who already owns an egg, make a picture with it on a minifig (as a head)? Curious if they will give us an Egghead (superheroes) Edited April 3, 2016 by Borex Quote
TheBrickPal Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I just ordered Piggy Car Escape and Pig City Teardown from Amazon yesterday (along with Black Panther Pursuit, but wrong thread for that). I can't wait to receive them! The latter especially really looks amazing, and video reviews have certainly proven that to be true. Quote
BaneShake Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I really just want the eggs. Although they're probably a little large for the Lego hens Same. But the moment I break down and get any of these sets, I can guarantee they'll start showing off future sets using the egg piece. That's always my luck. Quote
