Numbuh1Nerd Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Wonderful sketches! I bet that Black Panther's helmet is going to look about half way between Batman's cowl and a Chima helmet. I'm especially into that idea for an Ant-Man arrow! Very versatile with all the archers running around, easy to add some studs to it for varying effect, or make one for Atom and Green Arrow on DC's side. Quote

Bricky Dee Williams Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I agree, Bleeding Edge is absolutely beautiful. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 If there's two things I ask for, it's that iron man gets arm printing and cap have his scales instead of a repeated age of ultron torso. Quote

Yes and yes! Especially Iron Man. Lego did such a great job with the printing on the TFA C-3PO, hopefully they can do the same with MK 46 Iron Man. Quote
agoodfella77 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Can't wait to see these two variants in Lego form: https://pbs.twimg.co...8asUwAARvU_.jpg Oh wow, Cap scale armor finally!! And Bleeding Edge looks amazing!! Man, I wish TLG would do some justice to these relatively nuanced (to non-Comic fans) but important design upgrades... Quote

Yes on Iron man, for Cap my guess is they both? Like Goodfella ^ said i love the scales as well, staying real true to the comics now! Thanks for all the love on those sketches chaps! i didn't really expected it to have that much appreciation Those sketches rock! I bet it'll look more like this, knowing LEGO. EB doesn't allow imgur links anymore? I think so as well, maybe i've drawn it a little small, they usually go a slightly bigger headed rout like you've got there (Star-Lord, Iron Man etc...) Quote
legosamsonite Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 They also might not make a onetime piece for BP. From my research, the only one time new molds were beetles wings, groot's head, Ronan's helmet and yellow jackets helemet. Thats not a whole lot. But maybe he could have new molds. Quote
Chookdude Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Beetles wings were also used in Galaxy squad there is also novas helmet and the nova officers helmet Quote

BP's helmet would defenitely not be a onetime piece, there's still Infinity wars pt 1 and pt 2 and also the BP movie wich Lego could make plenty of sets from. Like Chookdude pointed out Novas Helmet, Nova officers and even more like Thorins Helmet, Dains Helmet, Hawkmans helmet, Big-Fig Green Goblin, Goblin king Big-Fig, Smaug, Avengers 1 Hulk, Darkseid, and many many more... Or do you mean only Marvel sets? cause in that case... it's a little less Lego has a way of producing AT LEAST 1 new mold per wave of sets, if someone gets a new mold in this Civil War wave, it would be Black Panther They even made him with a new headgear mold in the Lego Marvel game! Ultron Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Black Panther is definitely getting a new helmet mold. There is absolutely no way they'd reuse Batmans. They'd print it on before they did that. Quote
kevkipo Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Iron man's helmet, Loki's helmet and staff, Black Widows AoU hair, Hawkeye's bow, Star Lords helmet, Rockets head, 2 parts of Ultron... He is talking about One-Times, so a one set use. Also Loki's staff isn't specially made for Loki, it was in older Pharao Quest sets Quote

KCMatze Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Thors hammer was used in many sets over some years, so I think its not quite the same - but I see what you mean to say ;) Quote

N_Cat Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I think one of the things with molds is that it's uncertain beforehand how much usage a particular part will get. With a Black Panther mask, though, Lego can be confident it'll continue to be useful for at least the next four years, with his film and Infinity War coming up. It's far from a sure thing, but I can totally see Lego making a mold for him. Also, Kevkipo, that sketch of the helmet is gorgeous. Quote

InnerRayg Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 2012 hulk and 2014 hulk are just repainted 2012 hulk and 2014 hulk are just repainted The arms are the same you see on every bigfig, but otherwise they are different molds. Hulk 2014 has no toes or torn pants molding on his legs and a torso construction that is more modular, I suspect so that other bigfigs can use the same lower torso and only require a single new mold for the head. The Lego Nolan Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 2012 and 2014 hulk have the same mold just different prints. Quote
