NXS7 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I'm hoping the Sanctum Sanctorum will be the actual set itself for the set, it'll make an EXCELLENT collection piece Quote
kevkipo Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 He looks good. Maybe the new Superman hair with some grey printing on the sides? Tought that as well, could look nice! Oh Yeah... Quote
milojthatch Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Looks epic! I really hope they mold some new magic pieces he can hold. Fully agree! I'm really excited for this and the Giant Man figures coming next year the most. Quote

Or they'll have some random realm. Who knows, there are no movie details at this point. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Btw, saw both of the new AA sets at Toys R Us this weekend. No Civil War ones, though, obviously. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) There's a mystery villain in doctor strange, Lego might spoil it. Although I think Lego might make a mistake like putting Hank Pym in his own suit in that ant man set. Baron mordo might be a good option to put in this doctor strange set. Amazing Bricks Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) Don't remember hearing that. Where was it. A lot of websites such as entertainment weekly and IGN made news about today. I'm so excited for this movie and excited to see what the actual set will look like. Edited December 29, 2015 by amazingbricks Quote
NXS7 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Unfortunately it was stated in said article: "I’ve seen lots of names thrown around, no one has quite picked the name that we’ve chosen for him. It would be fun to conceal that, if we can.” That means as Dormammu would be the obvious choice, he won't be in the film as played by Mads. Unless this is a diversion. I really hope so Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Doctor Strange vs Hannibal! It is interesting, as Dormammu is the obvious route. With filming underway, I'm sure details and/or set photos will emerge soon elnough. We could also see a synopsis sometime in the future. But we are a while out, so I wouldn't expect much news or set details anytime too soon in the future. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Keep it to LEGO please. Pictures of Doctor Strange look - ok, that's related to LEGO. Pure movie talk - go to Culture & Multimedia. Thanks. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I wonder, though, if the third minifig slot will be filled by Rachel Mcadams's character in a damsel-in-distress role? That seems like something Lego would do, and there aren't too many other worthy candidates thus far apart from maybe Baron Mordo, although I'd say we won't see him until the second film when he presumably becomes the big bad. (Ignore this, but if nobody's guessed who the villain is then they're probably not a traditional Doctor Strange villain, right? And he said we'd be surprised when we found out? I'm betting MODOK. You heard it here first! ) Quote

She could be playing Clea or something, which would be great because we always need more female heroes. I'm hoping the set is bigger than $20. I feel like this movie will be a bit of a hit. Perhaps not guardians level, but I think it could warrant at least 2 sets. Although we only have info that points toward one set There's always the ancient one.. See, right now there's at least 5 characters that we need as minifigs! And that's not to mention the mystical creatures there will be. Fingers crossed for a big set Edited December 29, 2015 by Ultron Quote

Although we only have info that points toward one set If we are indeed getting one small set, similar to Ant-man, I would hate for a minifig slot to be used on a 'civilian'. If R. McA is playing Clea, that would be sweet. But my bet is on the good Doctor, obviously, with Baron Mordo and then the third slot being Madds' character. As for Madds, if that quote isn't misdirection and he really isn't playing Dormammu in some way, my only other guess would be Nightmare. Could be cool, but the name is a bit on-the-nose. In a movie about a character called Doctor Strange. Ha, maybe not. In the end, I just really want a Dormammu minifig. EDIT: I was considering that they could reuse any theoretical new flame-hair piece for Ghost Rider, or vice versa. Then I started wondering if TLG would release two such similar-looking but distinct characters so closely together in the same line. Does anyone suppose that the rumored GR might affect Dormammu's chances, given their similarity? Really, it's only the one similarity, but it's a big one. Meh, I think I'm putting the cart waaaay before the horse. But thoughts! Edited December 29, 2015 by rob-ot5000 Quote

However I still hope that he will be in the movie, I see nobody else but him for the film. Well him and the Baron Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Someone on Brickipedia bought the Hulkbuster Smash and Iron Man's helmet came out looking kind of funny. Any idea what is going on here? Quote
KCMatze Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Hum... Looks broken to me. Strange that it kinda looks like it's equally on both sides. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I got a Loki helmet like this in 2012 where the sides were equally distorted. It could be that, or less likely its a prototype piece. Quote

I agree though, they need to put him in the film. There is no guarantee that Doc Strange is getting a sequel, so I say go big for this first one! Quote
d-delay Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Would the newly confirmed "imp" figure from the Series 16 CMF potentially provide us with molds that could be useful for a particular Doctor Strange villain? I'm not up with my Doc villain possibilities, but it seemed you guys were discussing demonic options, and lo and behold a concurrent concept arises with a similar release time frame. Any thoughts Marvel experts?? :) Quote

Plus it would likely be a movie design, so it might be brick built like the Nexo Knight giant creature thingy. If there is no Dormammu then I'll just use that with the smaller stone creature from NK Quote
