There's a mystery villain in doctor strange, Lego might spoil it. Although I think Lego might make a mistake like putting Hank Pym in his own suit in that ant man set. Baron mordo might be a good option to put in this doctor strange set.

That's what i thought too, but it turns out Mads Mikkelsen is playing the main villain.

A lot of websites such as entertainment weekly and IGN made news about today. I'm so excited for this movie and excited to see what the actual set will look like.

Unfortunately it was stated in said article:

"I’ve seen lots of names thrown around, no one has quite picked the name that we’ve chosen for him. It would be fun to conceal that, if we can.”

That means as Dormammu would be the obvious choice, he won't be in the film as played by Mads. Unless this is a diversion. I really hope so

Doctor Strange vs Hannibal! It is interesting, as Dormammu is the obvious route. With filming underway, I'm sure details and/or set photos will emerge soon elnough. We could also see a synopsis sometime in the future. But we are a while out, so I wouldn't expect much news or set details anytime too soon in the future.

I wonder, though, if the third minifig slot will be filled by Rachel Mcadams's character in a damsel-in-distress role? That seems like something Lego would do, and there aren't too many other worthy candidates thus far apart from maybe Baron Mordo, although I'd say we won't see him until the second film when he presumably becomes the big bad.

(Ignore this, but if nobody's guessed who the villain is then they're probably not a traditional Doctor Strange villain, right? And he said we'd be surprised when we found out? I'm betting MODOK. You heard it here first! )

There's always the ancient one.. I think that would be better than a damsel in distress, however, considering LEGO history, as you say, it is something LEGO would do.

We don't know that she's a "damsel in distress" or that she will even end up being one in the movie. She could be playing Clea or something, which would be great because we always need more female heroes.

I'm hoping the set is bigger than $20. I feel like this movie will be a bit of a hit. Perhaps not guardians level, but I think it could warrant at least 2 sets. Although we only have info that points toward one set

Meh, I think I'm putting the cart waaaay before the horse. But thoughts!

Would the newly confirmed "imp" figure from the Series 16 CMF potentially provide us with molds that could be useful for a particular Doctor Strange villain? I'm not up with my Doc villain possibilities, but it seemed you guys were discussing demonic options, and lo and behold a concurrent concept arises with a similar release time frame. Any thoughts Marvel experts?? :)

Well...Dormammu is not taller in the LEGO Marvel video game, so I would not count on that.

Well so was Galactus and Destroyer. Plus it would likely be a movie design, so it might be brick built like the Nexo Knight giant creature thingy. If there is no Dormammu then I'll just use that with the smaller stone creature from NK
