JaseTJ Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Yay for more Spidermen! Quick question: do both sides of Falcon's head have the goggles..? Or am I going to need to splurge on BL to get the only other decent reddish-brown head with a goatee from that $40 Jurassic World set? Quote

Barry's face is a great choice for falcon without goggles. Quote

Also on the lines of "New Characters this year" Black Panther Winter Soldier Falcon Crossbones Giant-Man Tiny Ant-Man Doctor Strange Spidey 99 White Tiger Etc, Etc, Etc, That's quite a lot! Quote
Winter Soldier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I'm really excited for having the Spiderman 99 variant! Quote
Borex Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Spiderman 99, i am glad i can finally swap my bootleg 99 for the real deal. I still have the comics, but i must admit i never was a big fan. Big fan of the costume though. Xmen vs sentinel worst selling set? I didnt know that. I didnt see that set in a lot of shops too. I think they should make a xmen set especially for afols. It should sell well if it's more a d2c kinda thing i presume. Amazingbricks, do you know what spidermen we can expect as well? Quote
legosamsonite Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Wait wait wait! Did Sci just confirm CW Hawkeye, vision, and white tiger? Quote
IMBATMAN Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Wait wait wait! Did Sci just confirm CW Hawkeye, vision, and white tiger? Not to jinx it, but when did Sci confirm CW Hawkeye OR Vision (white tiger's a no brainer for Lego as black panther's headpiece is perfect for her) Quote
Sir Gareth Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) Alright, you guys should expect Spiderman 2099 ;) Yes!!! Now, I don't have to shed out $30 for a custom, Christo version! Edited January 18, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
Captain Britain Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 All these new sets are going to put a serious dent in my wallet but I must collect all the minifigs! First post by the way! Hi all! Quote
Sir Gareth Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) Wait wait wait! Did Sci just confirm CW Hawkeye, vision, and white tiger? No. Keyword is, "assuming"... I'm assuming - Ghost Rider 3-4 Web Warriors That White Tiger Character CW Spidey CW Hawkeye CW Vision ? All these new sets are going to put a serious dent in my wallet but I must collect all the minifigs! First post by the way! Hi all! Welcome to Eurobricks, Brian Braddock, sorry, Captain Britain I know how your wallet feels. I'm personally skipping the Civil War sets in favor of the summer, Batman and Spider-Man waves, considering I prefer comic-based sets over film-based ones. Edited January 18, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
wesleydoogan Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 X-men vs Sentinel worst selling set of 2014? Hmmmmmm.... Whilst that is one of my favorite sets ever, it would make sense. I suppose kids these days want toys that match the TV shows they are into and there hasn't been a decent X-men tv show since the 90s. The 90s inspired design and X-Jet though still gets a big thumbs up for me. On a related note, I'm really looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 sets next year. Does anyone know or think we will get upcoming MCU Spider-man movie sets instead of Ultimate Spidey stuff then too? Quote

I seem to recall the topic of GotG Vol 2 sets being brought up in the speculation thread, if you want to check it out: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105704&st=275 Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Oh oh oh yeah! Spidey 2099, bring him on! Thanks amazingbricks! Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) I see no reason we wouldn't get at least one set with the Spider-Man movie. Aside from the fact that he's obviously Lego Marvel's favorite, I can't see there being any licensing issues. Lego's all buddy-buddy with Marvel, and they got the rights for ASM via Sony, albeit a bit too late to do anything with them. The only thing is that somewhere in here, Marvel will be releasing three movies a year instead of just two. I don't know how likely we are to get a full wave from the biggest movie each year as well as a single set for each of the two "smaller" movies. I also don't know what else is coming out the same year as Spidey, off the top of my head. But again, he's a favorite so it stands to reason we'd get at least one set. Edit: Looks like it comes out in a year and a half, between GotG2 and Ragnarok. I would be shocked if we didn't get a set for the first (I'm expecting another full wave, considering how well the first movie did.) and I'd be very disappointed if we didn't get a set for Ragnarok. I want more Asgardians! I could see them upping the size of the spring/summer wave and splitting it between GotG and Spidey, maybe. Marvel's 3-a-year schedule has them releasing in May and July by the looks of things, so the sets could plausibly come out at about the same time. Regardless of any scheduling issues: Superheroes is an Evergreen theme, now. It's only going to get bigger from here. Edited January 18, 2016 by JaseTJ Quote

Haha - I originally set out to collect the entire line of Superhero minifigs (excluding Comic Con exclusives... those are a bit of a pain to get from over the pond!) and I almost caught up until the 2016 sets all got released (think I was 3 short before they dropped!). Personally I'm really looking forward to the Civil War sets and the new War Machine / Iron Man but can understand why they'd be skipped over the comic based ones. Been reading this forum for a couple of months before joining up, appreciate all the news and updates everyone provides! . Quote

Sir Gareth Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) With this Spider-Man 2099 have duel molded legs? Definitely not, especially since Spider-Man 2099 doesn't have boots. Hopefully, he'll have arm printing instead. Pretty fly avatar, by the way Edited January 18, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) Wait so they recently retired the spider helicopter set with green goblin right? What if we get a spider goblin big fig in the bridge battle? It would make sense. Or would that be too hard of a minifigure to make Edited January 18, 2016 by Falconfan1414 Quote
