Ultron Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Yes, like they did the translucent red with Ant-Man. It'd be nice if he had a head piece, and they could even use something mixed between Catwoman's cowl and Batman's cowl. Yeah, the BP mask in Lego Marvel Superheroes looked kinda blocky. I'm thinking they would go with something different though. Hm..I wonder if we'll get any screenshots of an updated BP for Lego Marvel Avengers? It'd be awesome if we could see a new fig or two in that game before actual release. Quote
EdWebhead Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Idk..Hopefully I'm wrong. They couldn't do a vey good panther ears effect without it being a mold, which leaves me hopeful. I just hope that they don't do the white headband effect like they do with Batman. Maybe mold the white eyes into the headpiece? It could look good With '66 Batman coming out next year, it's possible they might make a new mold for him and Black Panther to share, since the ears are similar. Kind of like in the video game. (Image in spoilers) Quote
Ultron Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Ehh I can't see it working. Black Panther doesn't have curved ears and doesn't have a hole for his mouth Quote
Legocity2713 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Prepare to be disappointed. Twice. Yes! Yes! Yes! I didn't get Winter Soldier, I held out because I assumed he'd be in a Civil War set, and now confirmation on it, oh happy days!!! And he is in a cheaper set? Amazing!!! Thanks J2G! Quote

Quicksilver Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 Just a theory here, but do anyone else think they will utilize the stud shooter element for War Machine MKII opposed to the lightsaber hilt and clip combo we saw in The Iron Man 3 set? Quote

Probably LEGO throws that piece into any set they can. Quote

Wonkyeye1 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I thought it'd be too big, but LDD suggests it works Wow, I'm actually surprised as to how well that looks! But it's rumoured War Machine will be more bulked up in Civil war, and his gun will also be used as a hammer, so I'm banking on an entirely new piece. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Just a theory here, but do anyone else think they will utilize the stud shooter element for War Machine MKII opposed to the lightsaber hilt and clip combo we saw in The Iron Man 3 set? I've actually tried it before and it works. Doesn't look too bad actually and is a pretty cool play feature. I'll probably change it out though if they do that. Now, another question: does anyone think that War Machine will have black included rather than all gray this time around? I really want the main helmet to be grey so that I can reuse it when I make an Iron Man MK 2 fig with out dismantling my current WM. At the same time though, I know black looks better and is more accurate. Using gunmetal gray (like the Ultron drones) as I did for the arms and legs looks great too for anyone interested btw. Yay now the song is stuck in my head for eternity Oh Whoopie Goldberg. Sorry. Quote
Ashnflash Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I thought it'd be too big, but LDD suggests it works [PIC] That looks really good! I hope we get him with a different face this time around! Quote
Pulp Detective Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 J2G....one question! And I hope you know the answer to this..... Any X-men set in 2016? If we do get one(which I hope we will)it'll be released on summer time.Mind you the film comes out may 27 if I'm correct. Quote
Gorki247 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 If we do get an X-Men set (very unlikely), I doubt very much it will be linked to the movie and it's more likely that Marvel would want it released in a different period to distinguish it from the movie even more. Quote

Well last year we got an X-men set and it was slightly based on the movie. You know it had a sentinel, the X-jet,magneto,storm and wolverine.Elements and characters that were in the movie. So I wont be suprised if we get something similar this year. Quote
Gorki247 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 That set wasn't really based on the movie. The look was clearly based on the comics/cartoons and it's not like they can make an X-Men set with only characters that never appeared in a movie. The only thing in there that could be linked to the movie is the sentinel. Any similarities between the set and the movie is just down to the fact that both of these are based on the same source material. Don't get me wrong though. I would love to get a set featuring Apocalypse next year, and I'd be happy to be proven wrong. Quote
kevkipo Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) I don't know if anyone's interested, but this is what i will do with the figs we MIGHT get in the sets: It's supposed to represent the displaying of a Hot Toys figure, but made easier and fun with a Lego fig (Wich i find much better anyway than those nit picking 1:6 hot toys figures who go for 200/300 $$$) I did this before (Signature) and i want to continue it next year (i like planning in advantage) The scene i picked was the recent leaked BP/WS chase on the rooftops, just added some figs (Like i did with the Sokovia BUST last year) From left to right: Crossbones, Falcon, Iron Man, Black Panther, Cap, Spidey, Hawkeye, Zemo Just tought some of you might be interested... or hyped! IT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS! Edited August 14, 2015 by kevkipo Quote
Rinzler Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I thought it'd be too big, but LDD suggests it works Just tried it out, it does indeed work! Quote
kevkipo Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Your picture is not working... Strange... lately none of my pictures work anymore? Quote
Ashnflash Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Strange... lately none of my pictures work anymore? It's working for me now, nice build BTW! I have the same problem too... It doesn't work the way it used to... Quote
IMBATMAN Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Sorry to change the topic, but if we do get falcon, would the soft plastic used for Hawkman and Space Batman be used for his wings? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Sorry to change the topic, but if we do get falcon, would the soft plastic used for Hawkman and Space Batman be used for his wings? That's what I'm thinking. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 http://i.imgur.com/3TGrOzz.jpg New Force Awakens set looks a tad bit like a Helicarrier no? With a little color swapping or MODing, it could be one of those flying SHIELD rescue boats the people of Sokovia piled into in Age of Ultron. Quote
Ashnflash Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 This reminds me of the mini Helicarriers they used to save the civilians from Sakovia Quote
dmarvin Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Sorry to change the topic, but if we do get falcon, would the soft plastic used for Hawkman and Space Batman be used for his wings? Are you familiar with the plastic used to make Smaug's wings in The Lonely Mountain set? IMO, that stuff is amazing. It's bendable and sturdy and allows for multiple wing positions. They need to perfect this on a small scale to make wings for Falcon, Hawkman and others in the future. Quote
