Ultron Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Green Goblin is a different purple indeed. Yeah definitely a different purple. But don't you think the green is a little darker than the juniors one? He might be? I can't tell Quote
Rinzler Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Anyone else notice Gobby's moulded boots? Edited January 26, 2016 by Rinzler Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I am really rather excited for the Bridge set now we've seen pictures - I'll buy one at retail and pick up a second loose to combine them! It looks packed with play features and details, and it is awesome of LEGO to diversify with a bridge rather than just tons of buildings or vehicles. I love it Quote
DarthBrickus Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Love the Ghostrider Set, like the Bridge, not so sure about Doc Ock's Mech. I'm really happy about all the villains in their classic Outfits. Mysterio next please! Quote
TheBrickBuilder14 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I'm a DC guy but these sets are absolutely fantastic! The minifigures are very, very impressive while the sets themselves also look really good. Definately feel that Marvel has the edge over DC in the summer wave. Quote
Krulis Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hobgoblin! He was my favourite bad guy from the animated series. And in one cheap set with Ghostrider. Instant purchase. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 The Goblin's satchel is the classic purple to prove the difference, and he does look a bit darker. Interesting. Quote
Royv Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hobgoblin, Ghost Rider and Scarlet Spider... Three characters I never thought we'd get, but so happy we did! Summer can't come soon enough. Quote

Legocity2713 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I forget the person who said it but he or she was looking to get a spare set of Deathstroke legs for Hobgoblin. ... Looks like Lego thought ahead. Quote
PickleManDan Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 These sets are amazing. I really love the bridge, and it looks like you are able to combine two bridges together. If you look at the right near the end of the road, the are dark red 1x1 tiles and on the left, there is on stude hanging off the side of the bridge, so they can connect, although they will be facing the same way. I really like Ghostrider's hair piece as well. Quote
Marvelous Spidey Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Silver Centurion has the Civil War Iron Man face. Black eye on one side (looks fantastic) and a big grin on the other side. Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Damn, Brickset totally overhyped these mediocre sets Quote
strangely Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Odd that they didn't bother to use the actual egg pieces for that birds nest. Also it's a bit lazy that they couldn't make a new torso for Aunt May. Scorpions tail is kind of odd. Green Goblin is awesome, looks the same shade of green (Which is fine), but the magenta really makes this minifigure near perfect to me. Hobgoblin is equally awesome. Both of the gliders are a bit weird, maybe too bulky, but pretty close to what I was wanting. It seems a little lazy that they couldn't recolor the black part on the front of both to actually match their gliders color scheme, the black just stands out too much. Didn't particularly need another mech, but most of the minifigures are pretty good. Captain Stacy seems maybe a little phoned in like Aunt May, but then again there's nothing too special about the way either of those characters look. The lack of Gwen is puzzling. I'm not sure how her father got in there before she did. I guess if they wanted a named police character for Spidey then that was pretty much the only option, otherwise his inclusion doesn't make much sense. Perhaps his appearance here hints at a future appearance for Gwen, maybe in a polybag or some unannounced exclusive. Glad to see so much dual molding on the legs, makes the possibility of Gwen in her classic trench coat that much more possible. Edited January 26, 2016 by strangely Quote
Legoman123 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I really love Hobgoblin. It's a shame he doesn't come with a satchel but I guess I can just add one. After all I do have plenty form the Indiana Jones theme. The only set I am a bit unsure on is the Doc Ock set as I'm just not a big fan of brick built mech's. I will still be picking it up though as I can't resit getting those minifigures. Quote
Ultron Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 It would appear that Captain Stacy has Doc Browns face. I am probably going to give him the new police hat since he looks weird with no hat. Also probably just have him being crushed by some debris on the bridge similar to how he died in the comics. If only we had Gwen Quote
Clone OPatra Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 These sets sounded sooo much better in the descriptions than they look in real life. The bridge had such potential - but they've overdone it with the run-down feel to the point that it looks like a jumbly mess. Log-profile bricks, masonry bricks, and side-facing studs all mixed together? Looks horrible! The color scheme is fine, and the size of it is good, but they really went too far. The WAY overused torso on Aunt May is quite a disappointment as well, unless it's a placeholder (but most of these figures look final). The Doc Ock mech is… fine, I guess. I like that it's portly, but there appears to be too much unused space around the minifig platform that strikes me as odd. The police boat is very average and unneeded. Also Vulture should have used the round ruffle piece from the CMF line, but that's not a huge deal. I do like the Ghostrider set. Hobgoblin and his glider look decent, the bike looks good, and the street scene might be filler but it looks nice. The only disappointing thing is that same horrible pajama-man. Couldn't they at least start giving him dual-molded legs in all sets? Quote
Captain Nemo Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Green Goblin is in the colors of regular green and magenta, judging by the pictures. After building so many Sentinels, I know every shade of Lego purple! Compared to the DC wave, I think this one is great (although still overhyped a bit). I'm loving all the figure designs, especially the surprise new Doc Ock and Hobgoblin. I actually think Ghostrider is the best set, then Ock, and then Bridge--the bridge design is the weakest I think. Also what's up with Captain Stacy? Who wanted that character?! Quote
Kretnica Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Damn, Brickset totally overhyped these mediocre sets Yeah, they sure did didn't they. I was expecting some great looking display sets but these are pretty much in line with everything that came before. Very disappointed. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Kraven's new piece and supermans new hair piece on him looks amazing. Classic doc ock, hobgoblin with Orange hood, scarlet spider with arm printing, and the best green goblin to date. The spider surfboard is a nice surprise! Sorry for the let down guys, like I said, I misunderstood the hint I was given. I'm the guy who jumps to conclusions and I'm so sorry about the disappointment. Next time I will put the hint here and we all can speculate together :) Quote
NXS7 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Also what's up with Captain Stacy? Who wanted that character?! Exactly. HE is the Stacy we all want, round of applause for LEGO everyone Quote
rome00150 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Love the Ghostrider Set, like the Bridge, not so sure about Doc Ock's Mech. I'm really happy about all the villains in their classic Outfits. Mysterio next please! Yes please really want to be able to complete the sinister six. Quote
strangely Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I wouldn't exactly say these sets are overrated. They are the best Spider-man sets we've ever gotten, but that wasn't really a challenge given the absolute trash that nearly all the previous Spider-man sets have been. Quote
