Super Goblin Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) After not getting a single Silver Centurian IM I now have four. Just drove to two GameStops and asked if they had an extra and the store that misplaced their box called me to let me know they found the box. Edited January 30, 2016 by Super Goblin Quote

benderisgreat Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Silver Centurion is definitely the best Superhero minifig we've ever gotten! I mean side arm and leg printing, and more importantly Civil War accurate black eye Tony face! I mean it's a new golden standard for Superheroes line, which makes me wonder why Lego almost never makes such detailed minifigs? Also why is everyone saying CW Tony won't have new black eye face? JaHawk2009 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Decided to splash out on the Centurion edition and trade the game back in, got to my local store, and they've sold out of Silver Centurion bundles. Guess I'm not meant to have this variant. Quote

Oh indeed, it's phenomenal - we even get the dual moulded arms! This should be the standard for all figures - but instead we're getting figures in the coming weeks that have no more printing than a figure from the early 90's. Progress, Lego. As detailed as it is, I thought the Rocket Raccoon polybag was equally amazing, personally. He didn't have side-printing on the legs, but the level of detail for short legs was just as awesome. Actually, he did have that printing :) Edited January 30, 2016 by TheBrickHitHouse Quote
Legoman123 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) I think I'll just have to order him off of ebay. I wasn't going to bother getting him at first but considering I have nearly every Iron Man minifigure it would be silly not to. Edited January 30, 2016 by Legoman123 Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) It's not excellent quality, ! I'm very pleased with Hobby's mismatched eyes, and he seems to be the appropriate tan instead of white. Green Goblin's face and arms look great, too.And White Tiger has ears! I'm not so positive on the face printing for the CW sets--I haven't seen anything that detailed about what we're getting for Iron Man--but the Silver Centurion's face print is actually from Iron Man 3. That's where the armor showed up, and Tony had a bruise/welt/some kind of reddish facial wound in that movie, right where it is on the figure. Trust me, I just watched the movie like two days ago after getting the minifigure :P Edit: rematches he CW trailer now, too. Stark's bruise is definitely more black/blueish in most of the trailer, not to mention it's under the other eye. Maybe we'll get another new print with a black eye? I mean a guy can dream :P Edited January 30, 2016 by JaseTJ Quote

Plus confirmation of Scarlet Witch's cloth piece (which looks outstanding) and it definitely looks like Kraven has Superman's new hair Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) I think the issue with Ghost Rider that makes his face/hair look off is how square the forehead of the hairpiece is. It makes it look like he has mutton chops, which isn't so great a look for him. That could explain why the pumpkin bomb looks better with that piece--orange on orange isn't as drastic a color difference. I wonder if SW's skirt piece would work for a purist trench coat for Starlord? Not that I don't have an extra dark red cape I would be willing to maim slightly, but... Ultron Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 They're all so excellent! Some of the Civil War ones definitely could've used leg printing (BP & Falcon) but we can always swap out legs. I particularly love Scarlet Witch and War Machine, it seems she has a new face (I think) and I love the addition of the skirt piece. It's also really nice to finally learn White Tiger has the ears. They look like they could be used for Daredevil so I wouldn't be surprised if we got him next year. I wish the person hadn't cut the figs from the bridge set off Green Goblin looks awesome! Favorite fig ever, except maybe the Silver Centurion Also, does Kraven have the new superman hairpiece? Quote
Sir Gareth Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) Why does the video end right before the Bridge Duel minifigures? I am once again disappointed by zusammengebaut... Other takeaways from the video: - Looks like Kraven reuses Hoskins's face from Jurassic World... - Green Goblin is the same bright green color as the Juniors version Edited January 30, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hmm. A bit of a dilemma here. I think I will get the Bridge and Team-up for the lovely goblin villains, but I'm not sure about the mech. I like Doc Ock, and the mech is so unique (tentacle feet!) but the figures don't interest me nearly as much, especially since I have Ock in his lab coat. Quote
benderisgreat Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Finally pictures of marvel minifigs revealed! All Spiderman villains from summer wave look cool: Kraven, Scorpion, Vulture. Hobgoblin looks nice too but what's with his face expression? Hope he has double sided head with normal eyes, other than that he looks great! And Green Goblin is on another level of awesomeness! I mean side arm printing, double molded legs and menacing face? He just can't get any better! As for CW minifigs Scarlet Witch has nice cloth piece, and accurate hair this time around, War Machine looks great. Black Panther though totally needs some leg printing , other than that he is almost perfect. Iron Man mk 46 has nice new torso , but reuses legs from mk 43, not a fan of this rehash, since Lego has just made 3 great Iron Man minifigs( Space, Scuba, Silver Centurion). Quote

Hobgoblin's eyes are sometimes shown to be mismatched in size. This picture was drawn by Hobby's original designer. Honestly, I think it's the mouth that's off. Perhaps he'll have a better angry face. Quote

Legocity2713 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) Also why is everyone saying CW Tony won't have new black eye face? Because of the back of the Airport Set's box. http://i.imgur.com/ld0wVIl.jpg Towards the bottom right of the box, he and War Machine have their visors up showing that Rhodey reuses Cyborg's face and Tony has his classic one. Ok I've seen it now. Why would they give War Machine Cyborgs face when he had his own face that was spot on Don Cheadle? And what's the point of making black eye Tony Stark face for a free promo minifigure if they weren't planning on using it in CW sets? Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I don't know if I like scorpions face Quote
Neomars Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I had a feeling they just forgot to put White Tiger's ear piece on in the display set. They also put Black Panther's ears on backwards but it doesn't look to bad for a Daredevil figure. Quote
Quicksilver Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) The War Machine MK3 armour looks so good. Definitely one of my favorite Minifigures from this year. Micro Ant Man and Scarlet Witch are pretty good as well. Also, does Agent 13 have a new face print or is it reused from somewhere? Edited January 30, 2016 by Quicksilver Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I'll say it again in less words: the black eye Stark face print is for Iron Man 3 Stark, that's why they're not using it for CW Tony. Quote
