Legocity2713 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Got the new Black Panther Pursuit set at Walmart today before the March 1st street date. The lack of leg printing was off-putting so here are my ideas on how to fix it: General Zod Legs: https://www.flickr.c.../in/dateposted/ Hawkeye Avengers 1 Legs: https://www.flickr.c...in/photostream/ I know this isn't the forum for it, but I know a few people have been talking on how to fix Black panther's look so... Hawkeye legs look nothing like CW Panther, but Zod legs look AMAZING on him. Still nothing like the movie, but it pulls the legs off Quote

marvellegofan Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I've been reading this thread for a while now but I never bothered to make an account. Anyway I hadn't seen this mentioned yet so I figured I'd make one and say that the Airport set comes with two micro antman figures. Got lucky at my Walmart the other day and they had all 3 sets out plus two mighty micros. Quote

EdWebhead Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Just went to Walmart and they had all of the Civil War sets! Only picked up Black Panther's jet for now as I plan on getting the rest later. As much as I like the figs in the set, they're lacking. Winter Soldier really needed a new face print (really hate that they used the Chris Pratt face) and Black Panther needs leg printing bad. I really like the new ear piece, though (the set comes with two!), and it would work really well turned around for a Daredevil figure. The set itself is great though. I love the design of the jet, and it comes with a nice assortment of purple bricks too! The jeep is nice too, but nothing special. Overall, I'm just really happy to finally own Black Panther in LEGO form. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Wow, that Black Panther with Zod's legs looks fantastic! Thanks Legocity! And sweet, two micro Ant-Men! Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) For those of you complaining about black panther having no leg printing, realize Lego looked at concept art. The first concept art we saw of black panther, doesn't have much detail going on the legs. Lego didn't have to make leg printing for him, it really isn't necessary. He looks just fine how he is. I understand that completely. But its a little frustrating that the Death Star Troopers have those cool lines for detail but a character as iconic as Black Panther, making his MCU debut might I add, is completely plain. Even his concept art had mummy wrap-like texturing on the legs. Sure if it were a comic iteration with his skintight kind of suit the exclusion of leg printing would have been fine but not for the movie version of the character whose figures have, up until this point, been treated with the upmost respect for detail. Ultron Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Ah concept art, the bane of superhero collectors... Quote
retrotaco Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 It really seems that across the board Lego are skimping on printing. Barely any minifigs have leg printing and over at DC I believe none of the batmen have the grey-black dual moulded legs. What a shame, It makes Black panther look half finished, and I very much dislike the new Falcon. DC is starting the dual molded legs, a few Batman sets have gray/black dual (although only the dark grey/black combo for now, still now light grey/black or light grey/blue or light grey/light blue) and Superman from BvS (well the big set at least) has dual molded legs. Seems Lego is starting to roll out dual molding and more printing as time goes on. Quote

Scarilian Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) So do we have any more information on the fourth Captain America Civil War set? Release date? Price? Figures? In addition, any information about the Captain America Polybag? (Specifcially printing of Cap) Release Date? I know people were recently talking about the Polybag and apparently Brickset may have the image or something - but i have'nt seen it... ====== Spider-man sets look fairly good, the villains are nice to get and provide a fairly good group to form a Sinister Six (Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Hob Goblin, Kraven, Scorpion, Vulture) Though the Doc Ock set is weird and i'll probably be giving that one a pass. Civil War sets seem to be a bit of a let-down. Giant Man is interesting and some of the figures are nice, but a lot lack printing or re-use pieces. Hopefully the polybag Captain America actually has exclusive printing. The fourth Civil War set has potential. Looking forward to the Doctor Strange set from what i've heard about it - sounds interesting, guesisng he'll have a similar face/hair to Kraven The Hunter. In Zusammengebaut's video, it looks like even friction pegs aren't enough to keep Giant-Man's legs stiff, which is a shame. We'll have to look for solutions. Yeah, will probably replace these with mixels joints or those larger joint pieces that were used in sets like the Hulk Buster Smash. The Quinjet looks just as bad as it did in the earlier pictures. Probably going to fix this by combining it with the Age Of Ultron Quinjet. Though admittedly the amount of Quinjets is getting silly at this stage, especially when it reduces the quality of the Quinjet just so it can be an expensive set. Cap polybag seems to be a Lego store promotion, but it could simply just be a polybag available in any store. Quote
IMBATMAN Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Anyone got any ideas to replace War Machine's stick with something that actually looks like the hammer from the movie? My first idea was to use the sword from the chima line, but the face on the blade doesn't really work. Quote

Ultron Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I was thinking to use the newer ice cream cone piece in black (if it comes in that color) and then add some black and trans red studs onto it. Quote
IMBATMAN Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Got a picture? No, but it was gonna be something like the one on the far right Quote
Ultron Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) That'd work quite well despite being a bit large, although it's too bad it's not black. Edited February 21, 2016 by Ultron Quote
