Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

Not a big fan of April fools at all. I'm one that's pretty excited about Superheroes sets in general, and being as new as I am to the hobby it's frustrating when "jokes" are told that fool me even for a second. I'm also not a big fan of increasing my post count just for the sake of doing so. I have over 8,000 posts on the other forum I frequent, and there are tons of people who post pointless crap(like one word posts) to increase their post counts. So annoying.

Anyways, back to the discussion, I agree that another Scarlet witch wouldn't be something I'd want in the 4th Civil war set, but I sure do like the one we already got.

I suppose she wouldn't be in two sets this year. She got a new variant and they like to keep such things exclusive to one set. Would be a huge surprise to me if we have her in another set.

So far there are no infos on what to expect in the fourth set. But as it is definitely kept back because of spoilery reason I am hopeful for something nice and surprising!

I only said Scarlet Witch for my April Fools joke, because I thought a spare character would make it more likely.

But, it was just a joke. Unless it's a casual variant of her, LEGO wouldn't repeat her... At least I don't think

To get multiple variants of any character other than IM or Cap for the CW series would be a crime while leaving us high and dry without Spider-Man, Vision or Hawkeye -- or for that matter without an updated variant for Ant-Man.

I wish they would release another regular sized Ant-Man because I missed out on the other set. I still can't believe it was retired so quickly. And now the figure alone costs like $18 on BrickLink, so I really hope they rerelease him before Ant-Man and The Wasp comes out!

Not to micro-mod, but we really should stop the speculation. Same as with the April Fools day stuff, speculation and yes, borderline wish listing, serve the purpose of raising post counts, and nothing else. As for Ant-Man, I personally wouldn't expect him, even though his suit has been updated (sorry, helmet), because we already got the two sizes in the Airport battle. We could be surprised, but as of right now, no one in this forum that we know of, not even just2good, has any information on the contents of the set. So please, with all due respect, leave the thread at a minimum unless you have real news or discussion to post, such as your opinions about already revealed sets. That's what we're here for, that's what the thread is titled, and that's what we should do. So for Mod's sake, let's follow what they've told us to do numerous times. Thank you all.

Thanks bud. The other thing I was thinking of is potentially the scene with Bucky/Cap/Iron Man fighting at the end of trailer one, as there is clearly some kind of structure there. I wouldn't be surprised if we get some battle damaged characters and maybe a new character thrown in. I'm not expecting great things in terms of minifigs as I'd imagine we'll see at least one or two reused, BUT, considering they aren't revealing it for so long due to a spoiler, this spoiler sequence will most definitely contain at least one new character IMO. Who knows.....maybe the spoiler is the Coulson MCU cameo I've been waiting for

I just bought the Black Panther set, and I love it to bits, but one thing stuck out to me: his jet uses purple and green details. What exactly is the significance of that? Well, purple and green are exclusively the color scheme of evil. Lex Luthor, Joker, Riddler, Brainiac, god only knows how many more, but no hero uses purple and green. I think even the Tiny Titans comics have made jokes about that. Then there's also the face that, in every trailer for Civil War, the only thing we see Black Panther doing is either chasing Bucky or beating the s% out of Bucky. Is LEGO making Black Panther a villain in these sets? Is the MOVIE making Black Panther a pseudo-villain?

Mmm! Sounds good! I don't know how likely it is, but I would lose my mind for a Hawkeye like the one in Avengers Assemble and the Ultimate comics. I'm sure if we get one it'll either be Civil War Hawkeye or that, but probably Civil War.

What about Beast Boy? His skin is green, and his suit is purple, yet he isn't a villain.

Yeaaah... You could make the argument that he's an antagonist, as he's on Team Tony, but he's most definitely not a villain. Purple just fits with the black, which is not a combination as indicative of villains, and the very little lime just goes with the purple. You're reading into it a bit more than you need to ;)

As for Hawkeye coming... ^_^ I wouldn't mind a comic version, I suppose, so long as the torso would be reasonably useful for a CW Clint.

You'd probably be better trying to get the entire set from Ebay or something then - better to get Ant-Man, Hank Pym (Warped Ant-Man version) and Yellow Jacket along with a good set for around $30-$35

Issue with this is that i cant see us getting much arm or leg detail on Doctor Strange... maybe a dual molded left arm for Mordo... but not expecting much. Chances are they'll go the Lego Doctor Who 12th Doctor approach for Doctor Strange just with the Eye of Agamotto printed on and possibly a cape... Either of the below styles would probably fit for Doctor Strange (Image from LuxorV)
