Numbuh1Nerd Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I think it's clear who the three minifigs in the Doctor Strange set are after that trailer: the Sorcerer Supreme, Baron Mordo, and their acid dealer! There's a rumor going around that Vulture will be the villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming. If that's true, it might be awhile before we see another comic-based version. Then again, it'd probably be awhile before we see any Vulture after that set if this isn't true. So I guess if you're not picky about design you might risk passing on the Doc Ock mech? Quote

KicktheNitro Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I doubt very much that Vulture will be the primary villain. He could appear sure, but that guy can't carry a film's antagonist on his own. Quote

Doctor Strange, Baron Mordo and the Ancient One... that would be an amazing lineup. Though, I'm on the fence about the MCU variant of the Ancient One -- could be a bit plain. Quote
Ultron Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Could be Baron Mordo, but they seem to be friends in this first one. Whoever Madds is playing is more likely, in my opinion. Quote
retrotaco Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 http://goo.gl/fHURr6 the new lego 30447 found in the wild (ebay :D ) ! This is just the same Cap from the Civil War sets, right? With the 'helmet' rather than hair? Quote
HawkLord Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 This is just the same Cap from the Civil War sets, right? With the 'helmet' rather than hair? That's correct. There's very little going for this exclusive, which is probably why it's not running long. Quote

It's a shame they haven't used The Flash's helmet yet to make that minifig really pop. Thor and the helmeted Cap are the only real letdowns for me in the MCU line. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Ok here is my theory about the 4th Civil War set. I'm thinking that it could be an add-on to the Airport Battle, that would make sense being as Spidey shows up during it. Or I could be completely off, and it may be a smaller and totally different. Either way I predict it will be location based and not vehicle driven Quote

Plus, because it's a battle, the Lego Group can put in explosion play features because we all know they love those! Quote

I wouldn't be so sure on Vision - that Quinjet set from Age Of Ultron is still pretty easy to track down, has a decent price-tag, and is the only place so far Vision is available...Lego may be hoping to squeeze a few more people's wallets on that set after Civil War comes out lol Quote

He could appear sure, but that guy can't carry a film's antagonist on his own. I don't exactly buy it (if your casting is built on a pun, it's probably not real) but it seemed interesting that this rumor would come up as we were about to get a Vulture minifigure. Granted, we're also getting our first Hobgoblin, Kraven, and Scorpion, so that probably doesn't count for anything. I can't imagine Vulture carrying the movie just as much as I can't imagine them picking up an actor with a career as hot as Michael Keaton's for a bit role. I'd say they'll also stick with a single antagonist and absolutely no other villain cameos after all of the Spider-Man 3 and ASM2 complaints (although I will fight anyone who says that ASM2 had too many villains because of Rhino). As far as the sets are really concerned, though, I'd say that this could the last time for a long time that we see comic-based Spidey rogues, so buy those things up. Quote

benderisgreat Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I know it's 2016 sets topic, but I have just seen a picture of Baron Zemo in CW and he looks horrible! I hope he isn't in 4th CW set, because he will be a wasted minifigure. On the other hand Lego Marvel Avengers had Masters of Evil dlc a couple weeks ago, and I loved classic Zemo look ! I wounder since Lego Marvel Superheroes had certain characters in game, before sets with these minifigures were released, maybe Masters Of Evil dlc was a hint at what's to come next year? I mean Lego already designed these characters in game, they might as well make them a physical minifigure. Especially since new season of Avengers Assemble will have Zemo as a villain, so new bunch of sets based on this show would make sense to have his minifigure. Quote

In a new wave of Avengers Assemble sets, Baron Zemo would be a very likely suspect. Unless the spoiler of the fourth set includes a secret costumed super villain... Quote
Dr Axels Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) First look at Zemo in Civil War. So far, not overly intimidating. Hoping the "no purple mask" thing was just a fib. Can't see a minifigure of him really standing out if this is how he looks throughout the film. Kinda makes me more hopeful for an Avengers Assemble set with the classic Zemo. Ultron Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Yeah definitely do not want that nerd as a fig. Give me comic Zemo or no Zemo at all. Of course they would say that, give the fans a big hype when it comes out in the film #fingerscrossed I honestly doubt it. No reason to intentionally reveal Zemo and then say "he's not having a mask" as a joke. Quote
Sebiron Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Yes, the designer who make Zemo from LEGO avengers game had really does a good job. Fans need this minifig ! Quote
KicktheNitro Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 It's kinda silly to believe that Zemo's only going to have that one look throughout the film. I mean, clearly there's a reason he's there sitting down looking like a normal person in that particular scene, and will show up later when his villainous plot unfolds looking totally different. Not to mention he's confirmed to be appearing in a future film also. So it's fairly likely that whatever he ends up looking like at the end of the film will be what his minifig will look like, if he gets one. Quote
