CM4Sci Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Honestly, when people post incorrect or misleading information it's not easy to trust them again in the future, regardless of their stature as someone with advanced knowledge. This. Can we stop discussion of the 4th set? Nothing but speculation. I don't think anybody knows about it, so stop pretending you do. This is liking posts and wasting pages. just2good Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) This site has pics of the Summer wave, sans retail exclusives: https://misterbricks.nl/lego/lego-super-heroes/?p=2 Edited April 19, 2016 by just2good Quote
Marvelous Spidey Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 That bridge gets more beautiful every time we get a new picture. I also love that we get 10 new characters in a three set wave, definitely going to hurt my wallet though! Thanks for the pictures just2good! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I can't comprehend why TLG gave Spidey dual-moulded legs in the one construction site set, and never again. Even in the big bridge set, no dual-moulded legs! Quote
benderisgreat Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) These sets look awesome! The one with Hobgoblin is a day one purchase for me! I never expected to see this character in a Lego set, so I am really happy that he comes in such a cheap set as well! The bridge is great! The only issue with this sets for me is Kraven's face, they probably should have used different head for him. Doc Ock's set is the weirdest of them all- Ock now has new tentacles, not sure if I like how they look... Edited April 19, 2016 by benderisgreat Quote
HawkLord Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Great pics, thank you for posting those. Ghost Rider looks incredible, very aggressive. And those flame and spidey web pieces... Perfect Spider-Man wave. Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I love these sets! I want to try getting the Ghost Rider and Doc Ock one. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to afford the Bridge Battle after buying the Helicarrier last month. I actually really like the Doc Ock mech, especially those awesome tentacles. It looks like a really fun set to play with! Quote

Yeah, for some reason LEGO doesn't seem to like having more than one minifig per set with dual-molded legs, the only exception I'm aware of being the '66 Batcave. Quote

There have been - the BvS Batwing and Jokerland come to mind. Even if LEGO wants to keep the legs out of the smaller sets (still a sly move if you ask me), the bigger ones should warrant it.Or they could, you know, design a new and much better Spidey. Quote
TheAmazingDarkKnight Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Or they could, you know, design a new and much better Spidey. Hopefully the fourth Civil War set will be the solution to that. Speaking of which, not sure if this was merely a slip up and or it was already confirmed, but on Just2Good's 2016 summer sets video he does say at the end that I'm probably reading too far into it, and even if I were it's more probable than not that he's going to be included anyway, but I thought it'd be worth noting nevertheless. CM4Sci Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Don't think it's necessarily a slipup, but they are keeping it secret probably because it's got spoilers n such. Quote

Forgot about those, and I 100% agree. Spidey definitely needs an upgrade. It's kind of silly that Batman and Iron Man have been updated so much and Spider-man hasn't considering they are, I believe, the 3 most used Superhero minifigs. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 The Civil War Spidey isn't really the answer to my Spidey problems because LEGO keeps making animated TV-show related Spidey sets with the horrible one. I'd like a re-design for the animated sets too. They could just go with comic variants since the sets don't strictly follow show designs anyhow. But yes, having one different Spidey in one set at least will be good. Quote
linnormlord Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 That is indeed the one I was referring to. I really want that fig, but haven't been willing to spend that much, yet. As for my GameStop trip, it didn't go as expected. They did not, in fact, have any Silver Centurion polybags, but they DID have two Iron Patriot polybags, which they gave me after some schmoozing I don't know if I care for that one at all, honestly, so if anyone wants one and is interested in some sort of trade, PM me. All three of my local GameStops have them too, I ended up with four in total - was this like a giveaway or something? How come GameStops STILL have so many of them? lol I tried my local Gamestop and they had a big stack of Iron Patriots, but no other figures. They kindly gave me one. They still have several of them, so anyone interested PM me for location in NJ. Quote

Wasn't he a Walmart exclusive in the States? Quote
LegoPercyJ Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 The more pictures I see, the more I love these sets. I'm collecting comic Marvel, and the number of characters, villains, Green Goblin, Classic Doc Ock... Day one purchase. Quote

Iron Patriot was a Gamestop preorder bonus with the Lego Marvel Super Heroes video game. Not at Walmart as far as I know. http://brickset.com/sets/30168-1/Gun-mounting-system Quote

Mercury Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Wow, tons of tantalizing pics in this thread! I'm already jonesing for the Ghostrider set! This wave is gonna hurt my wallet for sure. Quote

I wouldn't want to abuse the goodwill they showed when they gave me one. They could have given more, but didn't, and I didn't push. Have you tried your local stores? Quote
