kevkipo Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Looking at a picture of the new doctor strange head and hair. That's all I can see and he has a new face print! Good, but does he have the superman hair? Quote
Captain Britain Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Good, but does he have the superman hair? I can't remember if it was confirmed or not but I thought someone said a good few pages back that the hair was unfortunately the same piece (not colour - but type) as we got with Magneto, Doc Brown, Joker etc? I wonder if it'll be the exact same one they used with Ra's al Ghul? I thought Supe's hair looked good though! Quote
Hoth Rebel Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Thanks for the pics! The set looks cool, and minifigures are great as well. Was it also an enjoyable build? It was okay. Not that great but not really boring either. Quote

Still not sure about the mech but defo want Captain Stacy and his boat to go with my bridge battle sets! Quote
Krikkit Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) I used the boat and helicopter from set City 60067, which works really well. (Although I removed the pontoons from the Helicopter and fitted the normal landing struts instead. Works well as a police helicopter! Normally... as people know, I am usually a serious HATER of helicopters in sets. But sometimes you get a helicopter that works really well. The 60067 with struts does this and fits in so well with this bridge set. The scale is slightly off, but for a police scene it works. Edited June 2, 2016 by Krikkit Quote

Hoth Rebel Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Sooooo... I finished building the second bridge (minus the stickers/play features) and put them together. The only thing I did right now is simply putting them together. I This is the result: 20160602_160109 by Kevin Langenberg, on Flickr If you take off this piece (Lego bag 7) you can easily add the bridges together. 20160602_160142 by Kevin Langenberg, on Flickr 20160602_160131 by Kevin Langenberg, on Flickr 20160602_160156 by Kevin Langenberg, on Flickr 20160602_160151 by Kevin Langenberg, on Flickr Quote
benderisgreat Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 2 of Bridge Battle sets make great full Brooklyn Bridge! Plus some money can be saved by selling extra minifigures. Win-win situation. Quote

strangely Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Even with two sets it's still a bit short. I actually think the sets should be flipped the other way too. So looks like I have some planning to do, two bridges and parts to connect them. Quote

That will add 8-10 studs in length. Quote
AnnaBuildsLego Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) Not sure if it's been said already, apologies if it has, but for fellow Irish fans: The Summer sets are now available at Smyths. Also, Kevii23, your bridge made from 2 of the sets is brilliant! It just confirms that buying 2 of these will let people make awesome bridges for their cities. Very cool! As someone strapped for money though, I wonder if I could make a mini bridge from just one set. Edited June 2, 2016 by AnnaBuildsLego Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Good, but does he have the superman hair? Nope, the ra's al ghul hair. Quote
Hoth Rebel Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Alright, I put the 'signs' section back in after some modifications. It is now 8 studs longer than before: 20160602_193713 by Kevin Langenberg, on Flickr Quote

GoldenNinja3000 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Hoping I'll get one full Bridge Battle set at some point, but I then I'll really want to buy one without figures on BrickLink to make a better one! So looks like an expensive year for me... Quote

I'm tempted to buy 3! and build out two bridges as you say, and then use a 3rd set to build out the middle span section entirely Quote
Raelthorne Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 I was going to ask for those who have combined two sets, there was an earlier comment about combining four sets to increase the width and allow full size cars, what're your thoughts on that? Quote

Yea, gonna do that this weekend. Already have the sets ready to go but building a big set 4 times in a row kills my brain :p The only problem I'm facing now is how to make the mid section look like it's in proportion to the car lanes. Quote
Thomas_w Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Combining it looks great! Lego really knocked it out of the park with this one I think. I really like that TLG have based some of the designs on the Spiderman cartoon (though I assume the cartoon took inspiration from a particular comic book artist). I really hope that one day there will be Mysterio in Lego. Quote

I really can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm thinking I finally have a home to display my single Ant-Man set with :) I'm just waiting to see how it comes out before pulling the trigger on 4. Two are a definite at the moment. Just confused by some saying get three and others saying get 4 Quote
Borex Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 If you make the bridge wider you also should make it taller to have it look good. Quote
