Foxes Productionz Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 This set looks awesome, one of the best Marvel sets this year imo. Love it all, but very confused and distracted by the purple overall on the yellow banana. LOL yeah, something about her minifigure doesn't look right. Quote
Ultron Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 LOL yeah, something about her minifigure doesn't look right. Pretty sure that's Wong, not the Ancient One. Although I don't think the AO is supposed to really have a gender anyway, despite being played by a woman. Who's to say though. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Well we were told it's the ancient one and that face looks really feminine... It's not Wong, it can't be. Quote
Foxes Productionz Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Well it sure looks like the Ancient One to me, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see the box art. Quote
Dr Axels Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 The Ancient One's look is disappointing, to say the least. My only concern were Strange and Mordo and I am quite satisfied with both of those. I feel that Mordo is need of a dark green cape though. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Oops, haha I just noticed it while looking at it again. Sorry! Those look like the 1x12 bars. These are saving me a bricklink order. I only have one as of now but I really cannot get enough of these pieces. So useful! Quote
Airbenderfreak Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Is the Doctor Strange set supposed to be based off the new movie, or is it just a comic-based set? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Is the Doctor Strange set supposed to be based off the new movie, or is it just a comic-based set? The movie, but doctor strange has a comic/movie look like crossbones from the CW set. Quote
Stan-Lee Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) It is a very sdcc style build, hope it isnt an sdcc exclusive... Edited June 7, 2016 by Stan-Lee Quote
Sebiron Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Welcome to...You're mine! The CHAOS DIMENSION! Agree ! Quote
Ultron Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Well we were told it's the ancient one and that face looks really feminine... It's not Wong, it can't be. Hm...maybe it is her. The face looks like it might have the "lipstick" they give to girls and it might have eyelashes. The only thing is that the outfit looks more manly and it also looks like they might have hair printing. I just noticed the fans are trans though! I guess they have pearl gold (?) printing. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Love the Doc Strange minifigure, The Ancient One looks a bit weird. But I love it all the same! Quote
SandMirror38 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 The set looks awesome! Noticing it says Book 1 for instructions? Are we only seeing part of the set? Looks like there's a bit to connect onto next to the weird ball - pushy function thing Quote
rob-ot5000 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I'd bet money that it isn't the Ancient One. But only five bucks or so. The banana-covered-in-purple comment is SPOT ON. The set looks awesome for $30. I'll be conflicted if it's $40. I don't remember, and I'm already typing, so I'm not gonna double-check. Shuma-gorath, or who/whatever that is, looks pretty nifty. This makes the Ra's Al Ghul set look much worse in comparison, I think. I don't know why I should compare the two, but I am. Yay! Quote
AmericaLego Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 This set looks great! Sorry if this has already been asked, but is this set and the tanker truck takedown set exclusives, or is just one an exclusive. Also has anyone else noticed that this set and the tanker truck takedown both do not include stud shooters. These are the first sets to not include them since they first debuted. I just found that interesting. Quote
Actor Builder Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Everyone is excited about the transparent bar things, but I am here to issue a PSA reminder that transparent pieces have been known to crack minifig's legs. Quote
Marvelous Spidey Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) I'd say that's the Ancient One. Looks like something on the side of her forehead? A tattoo? She didn't have one in the trailer though... Picture Removed Edited June 7, 2016 by Clone OPatra pic removed Quote
Legocity2713 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Everyone is excited about the transparent bar things, but I am here to issue a PSA reminder that transparent pieces have been known to crack minifig's legs. Really? I know super jumpers do but these parts too?! That stinks! I'm sorry if any of this is off topic but, I kinda have a MOC with these bars and I'd I wanna make sure it lasts without any unnecessary damage... Quote
CM4Sci Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Everyone is excited about the transparent bar things, but I am here to issue a PSA reminder that transparent pieces have been known to crack minifig's legs. Don't think these crack legs, these have been used since 2000 and they work fine. The Super Jumpers have those little nudges in the back remember? Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 This set looks pretty good, I love the minfigures, Doctor Strange looks perfect, and I've got a spare dark green cape to try on Mordo if he needs it. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I feel a little spoiled seeing these pictures so early...not like spoiler spoiled, but like given too much of a nice thing. I feel like we're still reeling from the latest wave of great Marvel stuff from Lego... Quote
Actor Builder Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Don't think these crack legs, these have been used since 2000 and they work fine. The Super Jumpers have those little nudges in the back remember? The 1x1 transparent round bricks have been known to crack Iron Men and Star Lords when used as thruster booster rocket propulsion boots. I don't pretend to know about the strength/relationship between different specialty plastics, but from my experience, the transparent pieces are bad for legs. These pieces could be an exception, however. Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 It is a very sdcc style build, hope it isnt an sdcc exclusive... It isn't. It's a retailer and Lego Store exclusive releasing in August. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Looks like a bloody awesome set! A real, decked-out slice of a location as opposed to some weird thing (I'm looking at you, Ra's). I think the fig with fans is more likely to be Wong since the Ancient One's costume just does not look like that, but I guess we'll see. Either way the minifigures are great all around. No need to continue discussing if it's ok or not to post. If LEGO asks us to take it down, we will comply. Until that time, it's an unwatermarked image, so there it is. Quote
