Duncan Young Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 No, it's an exclusive. There are three Super Heroes retailer exclusives (76056, 76060, 76067) for three retailers (Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart), though I can't recall which goes where. Where are the exclusives in the UK please? Quote
Sir Gareth Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 (edited) You're kinda stingy. He knowingly withheld the image from us for nearly a month, under the false pretense it was "confidential," when a simple reverse-image search reveals it has been publicly available all this time. That's stingy. But, I have come to terms with Amazingbricks' apology, and consider this matter between him and I resolved, so best not to beat a dead horse... Edited June 18, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Why is it only became known now then? When image first surfaced nobody said it was a retail exclusive. Multiple people have mentioned how it's a retail exclusive for many months. Go back before the picture was even revealed and everyone knew it was a retail exclusive then too. Quote

Falconfan1414 Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Well that was expected but actually very nice to have official confirmation of it Quote
PickleManDan Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 LEGO GoTG 2 sets confirmed: http://brickset.com/...of-the-galaxy-2 Hopefully this means that we can get a normal sized Groot, instead of an oversized Groot. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Hopefully this time around we'll get more than 3 sets. Quote
SonofTheShire Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Hopefully this means that we can get a normal sized Groot, instead of an oversized Groot. It seem like an undersized Groot is more likely, if this picture is anything to go by: Quote
Dr Axels Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 (edited) It seem like an undersized Groot is more likely, if this picture is anything to go by: Ooo, I had never considered the possibility of a Groot microfig like Ant-Man. I'm getting anxious now Edited June 18, 2016 by Dr Axels Quote
EdWebhead Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Maybe we'll get both! I doubt Groot will stay tiny the whole film. I just want a minifigure-sized Groot dang it! I was really disappointed with the last one. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I just want a minifigure-sized Groot dang it! I was really disappointed with the last one. Facts! And a cheap way to get Drax. Quote
kevkipo Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 New mold Groot, that's what we need, a head taller than the regular Minifigures, No minifigure with a molded head on it, No brick built, just a new mould (Angry Birds style). Quote
Mapashote Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I think Groot could works with Woody´s legs and a new moulded head. Quote

CM4Sci Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Sometimes people over-customize minifigures.. those don't even look like LEGO, they look like Minimates. Personally not my kind of 'custom' but eh. Quote

Personally not my kind of 'custom' but eh. Yeah, I've said this on MGFs YouTube before. I feel he criticises Lego's own figures so much because he's forgotten their own limitations. I just cited TMF because it shows a Molded head might look good on Groot. However I suppose it doesn't matter as it appears he be small for the duration of the film Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Maybe Groot will be using the new baby mold piece? Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Maybe Groot will be using the new baby mold piece? With a new head mold? That would be so amazing and cute Quote
benderisgreat Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 We all knew Lego will make Guardians 2 sets, but it's nice to finally get confirmation. I guess it's time to open 2017 sets &a rumors thread? Quote

Sir Gareth Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I guess it's time to open the 2017 Rumors and Discussion thread? No, wait for a moderator to do it. Quote
Ultron Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Yeah but at this point it'd just be speculation and wishlisting as to what the sets will include. We don't even have a trailer to go off of, just casting. Seems counterproductive to me. I say we have our confirmation of sets, wait till one of our members actually has a rumor till we open a new thread. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 (edited) Honestly, most our discussions ever are is speculation, so I don't really see the point of these, "Rumors and Discussion," threads anymore. I can update the, "Future Set Speculation," thread with GOTG: Vol 2 merchandise information later, if everyone wants to move the conversation there. Edited June 18, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I think a molded head on a normal minifig body could look good. It depends on the legs though. In The Hobbit sets, Lego just made a big head for Beorn instead of a bigger body and it worked okay, so hopefully they'll do that with Groot. I also think that the limitations of minifigures specifically affect Rocket and Groot- because for the first movie's sets, Rocket was oversized and so was Groot. Quote
