Douglas_Jon Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I hope Loki is classic Loki. If not, can we at least get an updated face/torso? Any new iron man variant would be appreciated I imagine we'll get a brighter and more cartoon-y looking variant of Iron Man, and we'll get a Loki with new torso and legs, as well as the usual helmet but also a black hair piece. I'd really like a new hairpiece for him, not the Bruce Wayne one. It's longer, just doesn't look right. Neither did his Avengers face. Quote
Ashnflash Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 The Doc Ock one is used in the new game! I use it and like it! Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I'd really like a new hairpiece for him, not the Bruce Wayne one. It's longer, just doesn't look right. Neither did his Avengers face. I used the Warrior Woman's hair from series 10. It looked perfect. Also, how cool would it be for Iron Man to have a printed head, like the Heroic Age Comic-Con exclusive! Quote
just2good Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 The Doc Ock one is used in the new game! I use it and like it! Actually, now that I think of it, that fits really well. Neat fix. Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 As in Snape's hair? Still don't think it's good. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 As in Snape's hair? Still don't think it's good. The newest Snape hair, yes. The Dastan and Aaragorn hair in black. Quote
Quicksilver Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 Thanks for all the hints Just2Good and Sir Gareth - you guys are the best. I've been a little down recently as I'm toning down how much Mega Bloks I collect (My main thing for the Halo and COD licenses) as their distribution in the UK is appalling and quality isn't there, but this thread has cheered me up completely, as it now means that I can afford these sets, and the Marvel stuff has always been my favorite. Please could I ask you guys one thing, if I may? Are any of the sets good for army-building H.Y.D.R.A henchmen? It's just I've built up a small MCU S.H.I.E.L.D taskforce thanks to Brick Arms, so I need H.Y.D.R.A to rival them. Not really. The Comic version of a Hydra Solider comes in the $20USD Captain America Vs Hydra set from 2014 and we got the MCU Age Of Ultron versions in the $20 Hydra Avengers Showdown and the $50 Hydra Fortress Smash. Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Here's Loki v. Ironman: Oh, you had me for a minute! I looked for another minibuild, thinking this was the legitimate set, and that's why it was in a spoiler tab. I do like how you have Iron Man holding Loki's helmet. Havern tried that before. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Here's Loki v. Ironman: And here I thought you had something about the set. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 And here I thought you had something about the set. I know, right? Quote
Legocity2713 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I guess one sensible assumption can be made with the Iron Man and Loki Juniors set… no leg printing for either fig. Quote
Ultron Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I guess one sensible assumption can be made with the Iron Man and Loki Juniors set… no leg printing for either fig. How come? The green goblin fig had leg printing Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I was just thinking: "You now what we need? A Howard the Duck Juniors set. Kids love ducks, and he's definitely not a serious character, right? " But in all seriousness, I love the idea of a brighter colored, comic variant Iron Man. The red and yellow one looks great. Loki looks to menacing, not bright and comic-y. These sets are based towards, well, "Juniors". Quote
Legocity2713 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 How come? The green goblin fig had leg printing You're absolutely right, forgot about that. Its just that most Juniors figs (licensed or otherwise) don't have leg printing, except for good ol' gobby. I was mostly thinking of the Juniors Leo with no knee pads and just green legs. Laughably stupid looking. Quote
Ashnflash Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Oops I'm so sorry guys! Here's the classic Ironman and Loki in LEGO form! Didn't put it in the spoilers so that I don't excite you guys! Quote
Sir Gareth Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 (edited) If we got something along those lines, hopefully Loki would have dual-molded and printed legs and Iron Man would actually be yellow. Edited August 24, 2015 by Sir Gareth Quote
TheBatstan Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I wonder if they're going to use a movie Iron Man helmet like the one in the cover or make a classic helmet head? Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I wonder if they're going to use a movie Iron Man helmet like the one in the cover or make a classic helmet head? I'd buy that Loki in a heartbeat! Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Now thinking about it by looking at those pictures, it's got to be light red and gold. I love those comic covers! I'd be fine if they don't give iron man leg printing, but it needs to be classic. Quote
Ultron Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I have a feeling those are exactly the figs we'll be seeing. But that Loki would require a new helmet mold. Do you think they'd do that for a juniors set? Quote
adotnamedstud Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Oops I'm so sorry guys! Here's the classic Ironman and Loki in LEGO form! Didn't put it in the spoilers so that I don't excite you guys! Well, first there is an 800x600 limit on the photos. You may want to edit the size on imgur. It's really quite annoying to see huge images. Secondly I do think LEGO could possibly go that path but they could also go with an Avengers version. Classic designs would be great but I think they wouldn't mind making an interior for Stark Tower and slapping in Avengers figs. It really could go either way as profit seems to drive the sets. You can say Batman and TMNT were lighter but Marvel is generally lighter so who really knows. Trust me I'd love seeing a colorful city/Asgardian setting but we may not get that. Quote
