In regards to the Tanker Takedown, is the yellow gem on Vision the only difference in terms of printing? I was curious if the torso and legs were the same as the Quinjet City Chase.

From HD photo it seems that Lego only changed gems color, the rest of the minifigure is the same as Vision from 2015.

Huh. I'm glad it's (more) movie accurate, but as someone collecting every Marvel minifig, I'd rather it was either changed up more, or left alone. Slight changes like that only make me regret my completionist tendencies... Sort of like having to have 3 Doc Ocks from Spider-Man 2 that are pretty much identical save different heads (only not nearly as bad).

Also: Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for awhile, and finally decided to sign up. Just finished a huge MOD to my Avengers Tower and wanted someplace to show it off. And since literally no one I know in person is into Lego, I figured here was probably the best place to do it.

The problem is, Vision is an android, so he doesn't have an ever-changing costume like Cap, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, etc. So I think this is a pretty good update.

True, though I imagine there will be some excuse to change it for the sake of selling more toys. If it does stay the same and we get the same Vision in future sets, it's a great one to get over and over, unlike the worn out spidey we keep getting. I could see some improvements on Vision though, like arm printing and dual-injected legs so that's always a possibility too.

that would be great. arm printing for vision would add so much to the fig. duel mold legs would be great too

Well since there might be larger female presence and there is ultimate spider-man sets we might see dagger and squirrel girl.

Make that Cloak and Dagger in the same set. Squirrel Girl would be great too along with Mysterio and a proper bigfig Rhino. Above all else though, I want a Daredevil minifig using the BP ear piece backwards and 2 3L lightsaber blades. Maybe a Daredevil/Spider-Man team up set against the Kingpin(bigfig)? That might be too perfect.

Okay, starting to get off topic, woops. Man I want that Ghost Rider set so bad! I'll probably get it and the Doctor Strange on day 1, budget willing. Ghost Rider will be a day one purchase no matter what. I'm interested in hearing what the desingers have to say and how and why they chose to do Ghost Rider. Perhaps there is a fellow hardcore GR fan among the LEGO designers. It's unfortunate that Wong and Kaecilius aren't included to properly round out the main characters. I'm curious to see the back of the build to see how the portal beast rotating mechanic works. From the description it makes it sound like the mouth spins one way with the tentacles spinning the opposite direction. I'm also curious about the technic protrusion on the left wall. It just seems odd. It might be what is used to show Doctor Strange hovering but I would have thought the clear beams serve that purpose much more effectively.

I thought I read something in the description about his levitation cloak - maybe it has something to do with that?

Maybe the feature is to like put Doctor Strange there and when you hit the switch it pushes up on his cape and sends him flying? That's what it looks like to me, but who knows. I'll be getting the Sanctum Sanctorum, Tanker Truck Takedown, and Ghost Rider or Doc Ock sets on the 1st of August (or a bit after). I'll have to wait for the bridge. I'm also thinking of getting Rescue from Ra's al Ghul especially because it's only $30 not $40 like I thought.

Wait... Official Pictures already? IN JUNE?

But... but... What is this sorcery!?

Someone in the DC thread said it's because the new MMs will be shown at SDCC. If that's true, hopefully Marvel won't be left out!

I recall a time when a new Ninjago set (or 2) would be revealed each day. Maybe tomorrow we could receive some... Marvel-ous news

I'll see myself out

I think you put the cape on it... like, remove the ball at the top, place cape/collar over the exposed axle (facing the wall of course, otherwise the cape part wouldn't work), replace ball, so the cape/collar combo kinda hides the ball & the bar from certain angles...so when you press on the lever behind the wall, voila! Levitating cape. Probably something from the film (whether or not it makes it into the final cut) where Strange removes the cape & it just levitates wherever he leaves it.

Huh, that's interesting, I hadn't thought of that but that could be it. An odd feature but it works if that's what it's for.

I don't remember if any Marvel sets have ever been revealed at SDCC. It's almost always a DC set like the Batmobile last year and the Batmobile even further back (with the first Flash minifig)

We've had minifigs revealed before, the year we got the Daily Bugle set. Come to think of it, DC really is the only one to get sets revealed..

And the UCS Tumbler in 2014, just a month before its VIP release. (Was that a reveal or a display?) Either way, it'd be nice for Lego Marvel to show up, what with the HUGE presence Marvel itself has at the Con, but they'd probably just have already revealed stuff on display; definitely not anything as far ahead as Guardians 2. The DC sets, come to think of it, we're always January releases. If we're expecting a winter wave, like we got this year, it's a possibility, but that's just my two cents.

I'm pretty sure the main reason is because LEGO has stronger ties to Warner Brothers than Disney but hey anything can happen. But if we don't see any more news reports about what's going to be on display I think this is all we're going to get.
