agoodfella77 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Yeah, we're saying the same thing. :) New images from the DC Super Heroes site - Thanks for these amazing pics! That Spider-Man head looks absolutely gorgeous. Quote
AmericaLego Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Thank you for the pictures. Weird that they were in the DC section. That face really suits Barton, better than the previous face. Quote
Sebiron Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Thanks for these amazing pics! That Spider-Man head looks absolutely gorgeous. This head is just perfect to make a Spidey 1967 Cartoon ! Quote
DarrellBricker Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 That picture makes me realize how very, very much I want a Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends set with Firestar and Iceman minifigures ... Quote
benderisgreat Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Wow that's one horrible set with amazing minifigures! Tanker is wrong color, but minifigures are so great, I'm willing to forget about horrible build and buy this set! New Spiderman-masterpiece! New Hawkeye- great! New(kinda) Vision -good! Repeat Cap- ok, I get why he's in this set. Can't wait for this set, it's so awesome! Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Awesome set and Vision honestly looks a lot better with the yellow gem. That's surprising to me, because I didn't really care too much about the blue in the first place! And of course Spider-Man is just amazing. I can't wait to buy this on August 1st along with Doctor Strange and the Doc Ock's Mech set! Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Sanctum Sanctorum is listed on the DC area too: http://www.lego.com/en-us/dccomicssuperheroes/products/doctor-stranges-sanctum-sanctorum-76060 Also, whoever predicted that you leave the cape on the sticking-out part and it levitates, you were right! legobagel Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 It is good to finally see the play features on the Sanctum Sanctorum. Those clear floating things were throwing me. Quote
Actor Builder Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I'm really loving the "Sanctum Sanctorum", as you guys call it. I still don't know what it represents, but I don't care. I am certainly purchasing this, for it's obscureness. I plan to make a microscale city for behind the window. It is a window, right? Not some magical super-portal or whatnot? Quote
Ultron Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Ugh, so they'll fix Vision's gem but not his eyes? So lazy Quote
Legocity2713 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Ugh, so they'll fix Vision's gem but not his eyes? So lazy Whats wrong with his eyes? Quote
Ultron Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Whats wrong with his eyes? Vision has blue eyes, not purple. Would've been a really easy fix since they already have to reprint the head for the gem. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Vision has blue eyes, not purple. Would've been a really easy fix since they already have to reprint the head for the gem. Oh wow, I never noticed that. Well, maybe three times the charm. Quote

The other one with the huge red tentacle monster is a portal. Quote
Suproc Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) Ah, yes. Finally, Doctor Strange! I really love how he looks like his comic book counterpart. I'm always disappointed in the MCU ones that changed them a lot like Hawkeye or the cartoon ones like Electro so it's nice to see Doctor Strange just look flat out awesome. I love those new trans parts to hold items and overall this set just looks nice. I couldn't make it out very well but I dig that throwback to Indiana Jones and classic pirates with those tiles in the background. Edit: Does anybody even use super jumpers? They seem useless and as a collector I never bothered with all the reports of broken legs, let alone the only play feature super jumpers have is smashing your minifigures into the ground. They just seem useless all around. Edited July 13, 2016 by Suproc Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Vision has blue eyes, not purple. Would've been a really easy fix since they already have to reprint the head for the gem. Well it's blue but it's printed on a pink head so there's your problem. And man, crap-dammit that Spider man is really nice looking..and purple hawkeye is welcome too. Add it to the list! Quote
Venkefedo Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) This head is just perfect to make a Spidey 1967 Cartoon ! ...and yet you show a picture of a Spidey 1981 cartoon That picture makes me realize how very, very much I want a Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends set with Firestar and Iceman minifigures ... Me, too. It's still my 3rd favorite Spidey cartoon, after Spectacular Spider-Man & Ultimate Spider-Man. Cheesy, crude animation, goofy premise, but I loves it, warts & all. Would love to see an Iceman akin to the Electro they made... opaque torso, opaque hips, but trans-light-blue head, arms, and legs would be wonderful. Firestar would be pretty simple... just a couple new prints and the Pop Star/Warrior Woman hair in red maybe (tho Ariel hair may work as well... the feathered Pop Star hair's more fitting of SM&HAF tho). That'd be an awesome cheesy thing they could do. I loved it when the Ultimate Spider-Man comic paid tribute to the show... they already had Iceman and the Human Torch living with Pete at Aunt May's house (and those three are a great Amazing Friends group as-is, since Spidey & Johnny are such great pals in the 616 universe), but then they had Liz Allan become Firestar rather than Angelica Jones (who looked more like MJ in the cartoon anyway for some reason), so they got to have a Spidey/Iceman/Firestar appearance as well! Also, whoever predicted that you leave the cape on the sticking-out part and it levitates, you were right! That Spidey set... redundant Cap, but understandable, but otherwise great figures! And some Roxxon stuff for nice Marvel scenery! Edited July 13, 2016 by Venkefedo Quote
Khscarymovie4 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Lego needs to learn the difference between DC and Marvel. Doctor Strange set looks amazing, I usually don't buy things on day 1 but I might on this one. Quote

Anonknee Muss Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 New images from the DC Super Heroes site - Oh good they are using the new softer cape for Vision. I'm glad of this Quote
legobagel Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Oh good they are using the new softer cape for Vision. I'm glad of this They have always used the softer cape for Vision. Recently, they only don't use the softer capes in Dimensions sets. There may be other instances where they don't use them, but generally in Super Hero sets soft capes are being used. But I prefer them MUCH over the original capes the get folded and crinkled easily. The only problem with this set is the super jumper. I almost hate them as much as M3G4BL0CK5. Wait, I can't hate anything as much as those. Super Jumpers are a close second. After all off-brand LEGO rip-offs. Quote
