Legocity2713 Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Well I'm not buying the set just for what might be a new torso. Juniors set for the win! The head was the same as the previous version. Is the Ultron in the racers that silver sort of color like in the Quinjet set or is it gunmetal like in the Hulkbuster set? Also, is the hulk bright green in the preliminary pics of olive? Thanks for all the info btw Hulk_Smash, we all really appreciate it. :classic: Quote

Brennens world Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I assume they meant short as in "Not the generic long female hair we've gotten with Scarlet Witch/Supergirl/Storm/Every other female superhero fig," which would have gone better with her classic Ms. Marvel outfit, whereas the spiky sleepy head hair might indicate her newer outfit. I wouldn't get my hopes up, considering this year they skimped on double-molded legs in the cheaper sets (Batman didn't have them in the batboat, Spidey didn't have it in the Juniors set). Deathstroke had them, but if we got a variant of the fig in a more expensive set (like we'll be getting with Cap and Spidey next year, I assume) the cheaper versions didn't get the fancy new legs. You may be right. Overall i find almost all of these racers really stupid. All they are is just redo's/ New torso's of older figures with some silly car. Quote
Ultron Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Aw, I was hoping for the light pearl silver. It's closer to classic Ultron than the other Quote
Legocity2713 Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 The Hulk is a darker green, presumably olive. Ultron's torso is dark pearl grey, while his headpieces are light pearl gray Oy, its really preliminary huh? Whatever though, no matter the color someone could use it for army building drones. Even if they won't be blue. Quote
Jbricks Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Looks like we'll be waiting till the summer wave to receive any Spidey variants. Unless he's in a civil war set. Also, looks like I'll be ordering a different hairpiece for Captain Marvel. I'm not a fan of her spikey hair. I will probably use the Intergalactic Girl hairpiece for Captain Marvel; even if the Elsa Schneider peice is more accurate I would rather have the extra variety. Quote

benderisgreat Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Nope, he's a minifigure. Oh ok, so he is like his polibag version coming out in November? Anyway thanks for the answer. Quote
Neomars Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Yes I was talking about this look for her. http://www.amberunmasked.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/captain_marvel_1.jpg She does have a variety of hair styles in this costume so the generic female hair piece would work as well. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 It's ironic that the one time the typical female hairpiece would actually be accurate, LEGO decides not to use it She does have short spike haired in some comics. Plus we have no idea what she looks like in Avengers Assembe Quote

All they are is just redo's/ New torso's of older figures with some silly car. Were you really expecting something else? I think its great we're getting two figures in each set. It seems like LEGO has found a way to sell minifigs at a cheap price by getting around the "no action figure" rule. It's really great for kids to get some of the minifigures they can't afford because they are in big sets. Plus for some who didn't get certain minifigures it's a great way to do so now. Plus with the newish versions of Hulk and Ultron I wouldn't count out new figs if they continue with more waves. Quote

Ultron Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 What was green goblin driving? A car version of his glider or something else? Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 It looked like a car version of his glider. Quote
Ultron Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 It looked like a car version of his glider. Cool, hopefully I can mod it to be a standard glider. Forgive me if you've already said, but what was everyone else driving? Quote
benderisgreat Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 It looked like a car version of his glider. Is Green Goblin the same one from Juniors set earlier this year? Quote
Sir Gareth Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Is Green Goblin the same one from Juniors set earlier this year? Nope, but similar. The torso is new, but the head and headpiece are the same. Quote
benderisgreat Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Nope, but similar. The torso is new, but the head and headpiece are the same. Is he wearing chainmail over his tank top like he did in Marvel Knights Spider-Man comics? Quote
strangely Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Nope, but similar. The torso is new, but the head and headpiece are the same. Hopefully we get some better legs (Because the Juniors one has terrible leg printing). Dual molding would be great, but for a small set I don't know how likely that is. Either way a new torso and a satchel piece is pretty awesome. Hopefully the vehicle will have some special parts that I can use to make a glider. I love the game version of the glider, so if they used some specially chromed or printed version of those parts I would be super happy. Any more details on the glider car? Any idea if the purple and green color for Gobby are the same shade as the Juniors one? Quote

Hulk_Smash Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 The torso was blank, which being in a prelim picture means mew. And I can't recall what most people were driving, other then Cap in a tank. Quote
Ultron Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 So about that mouth piece that cap and the goon had, was it like a scuba breathing thing? Or like a chin strap or something? It sounds strange Quote
