Winter Soldier Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Adding on to that, would someone please let us know which minifgs would appear in which sets? There's still characters like Cap who we don't know will be in which set. I know that the winter soldier will appear in the second and third setMy opinion reasons for the Racers Set : The racers set are made for kids ( they love vehicles ) They must be in comic style just like in TV-series MCU hulk polybag is special, toys r us wouldn't allow to make it in an official LEGO set ( it wouldn't be unique anymore ). Quote
ultron32 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) I already said that the racers minifigs are comic-style, all of them ( that's what I think ). The hulk polybag will only be available at toys r us and thats why it's a unique one, it's AoU-style. Do you know both of these things for a fact? It seems far more likely for me for them to make a movie style racer and reuse the Hulk from the polybag (his legs would still be exclusive plus it's not like Rocket from last year was exclusive to the polybag - he was technically in a set even if it was SDCC exclusive) than for them to make a comic style Ultron, which I think would probably require a new mold.EDIT - I see you added a reply before I posted this - the first point has nothing to do with which Hulk will be in the set. As for the second point, what do the Racers have to do with the TV series? It's a Marvel racers line, some of the sets will be based on TV and some on movies, just like in the Marvel Super Heroes line at large. And I adresed the third point above, I'm guessing LEGO knew that people would be angry if they could only get AoU minifigure Hulk without legs (since there are no legs that would fit the figure) so they decided to put him in a polybag before the set was revealed. CM4Sci Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Dunno why it was such a big deal, J2G confirmed the racers have the short legs. Quote
Ultron Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Dunno why it was such a big deal, J2G confirmed the racers have the short legs. I don't recall him ever saying that. If Ultron is comic based, he would likely require a new mold. Or his face could just be printed but it may look bad. Quote
YoshiBlockr Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Dunno why it was such a big deal, J2G confirmed the racers have the short legs. Wow i actually didnt know that. These racers will look very odd, considering the fact that cap will look like child. I honestly think that the racers are a terrible idea, but then again it pleases children. Quote

Borex Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Short legs? For real? Haha that would be weird and i guess none of us would buy any of those :-s Quote

Ultron Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I don't see how having short legs would provide anything for the sets. There'd be no point to them other than to piss people off. I'm not believing that till I see set pics. Quote
KCMatze Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 How useful would a racing-car be if the included minifigure can not actually SIT in it? As far as I know the short legs still cannot bend. Or maybe we get new ones? Quote
ultron32 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Dunno why it was such a big deal, J2G confirmed the racers have the short legs. Oh I missed that. Thanks. I don't see how having short legs would provide anything for the sets. There'd be no point to them other than to piss people off. I'm not believing that till I see set pics. Probably so that they only have to take up two studs, allowing the vehicles to be just that much smaller. Quote
LMB10 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I thought it was said they had normal legs, not short ones Quote
dmarvin Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Never caught any hints about the legs being short until just now, so I don't know how people were supposed to know that. But...considering the low cost of these sets and giving us two minifigs and two racers (compare that to what you get in the Star Wars sets), it makes sense that they would be short to allow the vehicle builds to be really small. Short legs doesn't affect my desire to own them...but it makes me a lot less excited for Green Goblin and more likely to consider the Juniors set or Bricklink to get him. Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Really? I thought he said that? Maybe I was wrong. Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Really? I thought he said that? Maybe I was wrong. I remember Hulk_Smash saying that they have normal feet. Quote

Coca-Cola Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) whether it has been confirmed or not can certain people (i'm not even gonna name names) stop treating unconfirmed points and their opinions like they are confirmed and they are right. i think that is more for the speculation thread if anything.. i had to go back and read about the legs and while i totally could have missed something i couldn't find any confirmation at all of anything regarding the legs... plus the AoU hulk could appear in the racers and toys 'r' us could still keep the exclusive tag on that polybag because it also comes with that quad. similar to how lego had EXCLUSIVE offers of polybags with iron man and a drone, the minifigure wasn't new but the build was. Sir Gareth Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) Saw preliminary images for the Avengers Assemble sets, but not the Racers. My first impression was that these sets were a lot smaller than expected. Avengers Space Mission - Thanos is just a blacked-out big-fig. The art does show lightning coursing out of his right hand though, so he highly likely has the Infinity Gauntlet. He's riding a black, dark blue, and gold flying platform with purple thrusters. The MK 43 is there as a placeholder for the Iron Man spacesuit variant (which is white according to my source). Hyperion has the orange, tousled hairpiece, Superman's head, a yellow cape, and yellow hands. His torso and legs are whited-out. Captain America looks to be the same one from the Hydra set. He has the new oxygen mask piece (which looks like the mouthpiece of a hazmat mask) and a jetpack. The Avenjet looks like a down-sized version of the one from the show. It's red and white with black accents. The build itself is a medium-sized jet with a smaller jet on top. Captain Marvel's in the cockpit. It's hard to see, but she seems to have the sleepyhead hairpiece. The larger jet appears to have a cargo-hold that hopefully fits minifigures inside. Iron Skull Submarine Attack - Iron Man has an Iron Legion helmet and the Hero Factory armor in blue. The Hydra Henchmen has the new breathing mask piece and Captain America's shield! He's riding a green, light and dark grey underwater jet-ski. The submarine itself is black with red accents and pretty small. In the back, there's a cockpit for Iron Skull, who appears to have a new torso, and attached to the side, by a chain, is a prision cell for Captain America. Cap looks the same as the one in the Space Mission set. Edited September 23, 2015 by Sir Gareth Quote
kevkipo Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Thanks Sir Gareth , seems like i will buy nothing, and just order Thanos. Great description nonetheless! Quote
