Winter Soldier Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Also hoping that we'll finally get Cap with a helmet, the Winter Soldier without a mask, purple Hawkeye, Black Widow with electric staves and her last hairpiece and a whole new Falcon with Redwing as a robot. Quote
KCMatze Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 So much talk about new Ant Man costume ^^ I think the difference is not significant enough to justify a new minifigure. The War Machine and (strongly looking like) Bleeding Edge Iron Man look awesome and I'd like to get figs of those! Black Panther is...well, just black? Quote

Black Panther has loads of printing, all sorts of markings on his body, silver necklace and stripes on his face. Ant-Man is also very new, his costume is changed a lot as did his helmet. For example look at the shoulders, the arms, the chest, the knees, the belt and the best example the helmet Edited October 7, 2015 by kevkipo Quote

Legocity2713 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Glad WS is keeping the red star on the arm. (Makes sense to wipe it off since he isn't a villain anymore, but I am so glad they didn't.) Not biting the bullet and refusing to spend $75 for the polybag was worth it. Quote
Ojik Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Well, everyone is discussing the looks of the new costume, but am I the only wondering why he has one? The old one was just perfect and Hank Pym hadn't touched it for decades, so why the change? I get it Marvel wants a fresh look of the costumes for every new film, but I don't get it in sake of the story (same goes for Cap's new costume). Thus I'm fine if we don't get a new minifigure of Ant-Man, microfigure and Giant Man are satisfying enough. Just wondering if their look will reflect the new costume or the old one. Quote

If he's becoming Giant Man, chances are his suit is going to need new upgrades to be able to handle it. Also, the new suit could come halfway through the movie at the New Avengers facility or something. Quote

Every Avenger has had some costume upgrade for each MCU release (Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, etc.) -- it would actually be odd if Ant-Man didn't get a new one. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 The conversation is veering very close to just being about the film, and not about LEGO. I'm not going to point to any posts specifically; I just want to remind everyone to keep it about the LEGO. The film images are relevant to the discussion since we know what minifigs (/Giant Man) we are getting, and from the images we can speculate about what they will look like. Posts only about the costumes, the film, or the MCU, however, belong in Culture & Multimedia. Thanks. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) We know for sure we are getting Captain America, Iron Man, ant man, Black Widow, winter soldier, black panther, falcon, scarlet witch, and I think Agent 13 was confirmed. This leaves Spiderman, vision, Hawkeye, war machine out of the equation. To have all of them in the exclusive set would be amazing, but highly unlikely. If anything, we're not getting one minifigure from each team. So I'd say, we're not getting vision and Hawkeye sadly. We haven't gotten a full set list of the whole wave so maybe they will include everyone. I'm just saying, there's too many characters for four sets. What bothers me, is the fact that winter soldier is in two sets. I'd assume that captain and iron man will be in two sets each too. We know the $20 set will be crossbones, falcon, and black widow. The $35 set will most likely have black panther(confirmed), another team iron man minifigure, winter soldier, and captain America. The $70 set will most likely have antman(confirmed), winter soldier, iron man, war machine?, captain America, agent 13, scarlet witch, and baron zemo. That leaves a lot out, but just like quicksilver, I think Spiderman or possibly new Hawkeye/vision will be the big draw of the exclusive set, but I think Spiderman for sure. I also think that iron man will be in that exclusive set. Edited October 8, 2015 by amazingbricks Quote
Butterfingers27 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Does anyone know if the Cap coming with the micro builders is the comic version or the AoU version? Quote
Coca-Cola Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Does anyone know if the Cap coming with the micro builders is the comic version or the AoU version? I'd take an educated guess and say comic styled Cap. But it's still unconfirmed at the moment. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Does anyone know if the Cap coming with the micro builders is the comic version or the AoU version? Since Red Skull is rumored to be Iron Skull, the same as in the Sub Mission set next year, I'd go with comic version, probably from Captain America vs, Hydra from 2014. Quote
Winter Soldier Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 It's very nice that all of the costumes will be different ( that means new minifigs ). Looking forward to Spiderman and purple Hawkeye ( if we get them ) Quote
kevkipo Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Well i think everyone does now, but sadly we can't have the whole team (can we?) I'd too like to see these guys appear (Hawkeye, Vision, War Machine, Spidey), maybe they are in the exclusive spoiler set? (What else would it be for?) Quote
benderisgreat Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 From new picture ls it seems Cap is the only hero whose costume won't change in CW. I just hope he either gets a helmet, or Lego fixes super tanned skin tone he has in AoU sets. Seems like an easy problem to fix. As for the rest I am really looking for Bleeding Edge Iron Man with side leg and arm printing and Black Panther. I just hope they don't use batmans cowl piece on him. Quote

Cap's uni change is a very slight one -- but it has indeed changed. For instance, in his AoU uni, there are red accents around the Front Star -- which are not present in the CW version. Bringing this back to LEGO, I'd be really disappointed if they simply used the AoU variant for the CW sets -- in fact, I hope they include some leg printing and arm printing for Cap. Quote
raminator Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Even if they use AoU Torso for Cap, they could still add armprinting or dual molded Legs for boots Quote
benderisgreat Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Even if they use AoU Torso for Cap, they could still add armprinting or dual molded Legs for boots it would be nice, but not making his skin super tanned would be even better improvement in my opinion. Quote
N_Cat Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 it would be nice, but not making his skin super tanned would be even better improvement in my opinion. Yeah, even if they reuse the AoU torso and have no new printing on the arms or legs and I'd still be ecstatic if we got either a better printed head or a removable helmet with a flesh head. Quote

Anyway, I really hope LEGO will make both the microfigure and Giant Man look like this year's minifigure (unless they are making a new minifigure in 2016 as well). I usually hate when they have the minifigs wrong, but in this case it would make sense to produce alternative forms of already existing figure. Same goes for Black Widow - it's not an Avengers movie so she has long hair this time, yet I'm hoping for the comeback of the new hairpiece. Quote

kevkipo Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I'm just hoping BP gets a new helmet mold, Falcon Fabric wings, BW a good hairpiece, and maybe Crossbones a new helmet mold too? (Wouldn't count on it) and finally decent hair for Scarlet Witch! really hoping for that Quote
KCMatze Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 These so all sound good to me ;) But I don't see LEGO doing a new mold for Crossbones. It's too easy just to print his head. Quote
benderisgreat Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I am curious what will Lego do with Baron Zemo minifig. Now granted we don't know how he looks like in a movie, but I hope similar to his comicbook appearance purple suit and mask. I wonder how will Lego pull it off though. I just hope he won't look like normal human in civilian clothes, couse then his minifigure won't be appealing to many people. Quote
