just2good Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Where is the Junior set? And as a person who doesn't collect Iron Man variants seriously, I see absolutely no appeal for the submarine set Whung has it here: Images of 2016 Juniors sets are found in lego.com cache 10721 Iron Man vs Loki Quote
benderisgreat Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 So according to a Flickr user called Taylor Stevenson these are some of the sets for the summer of 2016: Spiderman vs Electro Showdown - £39.99. Deadpool TBA - £19.99. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D TBA - £29.99. Again these could be completely false but I still wanted to share them with you guys. Just like with SW rumors by this guy it's hard to believe, especially Deadpool set. Didn't Lego lost their license to make X-men sets last year? And why woul Electro be in 40£ if he was in 13$ one? Quote
Elgard Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I love that new Iron Man suit! I'm happy that we are getting another Hydra henchman. To those saying that Iron Skull needs a helmet. It is certainly based on the tv series in which he does not wear any helmet. I can't wait for other pictures to be found/ released/ other possibilities to reach this forum! Quote
Captain Nemo Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Let's not jump to conclusions with these new highly unconfirmed rumors. I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed that way too...none of those seem likely at all to become sets. Quote

We already got a Spiderman vs Electro set in 2014 and it does nott seem like TLG would want to make another one. The Deadpool one is 99% false if you ask me since Marvel cancelled everything X-Men/Fantastic Four related. I could be wrong though. Quote

Didn't Lego lost their license to make X-men sets last year? And why woul Electro be in 40£ if he was in 13$ one? Whether or not Lego makes X-Men sets is up to Marvel, but Marvel shares a large portion of the profits of X-Merch with Fox, so it's unlikely. I personally think that Deadpool is the one exception to their general avoidance of these characters, because he makes so much money in merchandising that they're likely to make as much with just their percentage of him as they would on any non-X-Men character. I imagine that if a new Electro set would happen, it would be the classic Electro suit instead of the Ultimate one we got last year. Still, very unlikely that would happen. Quote

I agree that these sets seem like a long shot but like Aegis2000 explained theoretically you could explain the Electro set and even the Deadpool set. The only set which I'm not convinced about is the Agents of Shield based Lego set as Agents of Shield is one of the more obscurer Marvel things IMO. Still it would be the best place to give us a Coulson fig that a lot of people seem to want. Anyway like I said these are just unconfirmed rumors so for all I know they could be entirely made up but again as this is the rumor thread I just wanted to show you guys as to hear what you guys think. Coca-Cola Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) On top of that I highly doubt an Agents Of SHIELD set would ever be actually produced. Like ever. I know there has been a big request by like every fan, but the show gets average reviews among adults and isn't something majority of children are familiar with. If we were to ever get a Coulson it would probably be in a polybag, a comic con exclusive or just one of those minifigures shoved into a set for the sake of it. Would be cool to get one just incredibly unlikely.. Edited October 11, 2015 by Coca-Cola Quote
TheBrickBuilder14 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Back to the sets that we do know are coming, I'm not really sure what to think of the Iron Sub set, from what I can see the Cap minifigure isn't that much different from the version that we currently have and to make matters worse he doesn't even include dual molded legs, the Iron Man figure does look quite nice though and I also like what I see from the Iron Skull figure. The sub itself is okay I guess, still I feel like a new cap figure would have made this set a lot better. Quote
TheBrickBuilder14 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Just to let you guys know you guys were correct, the rumor that I posted was false the guy were the rumor came from just confirmed that they are false so sorry for posting them. Quote
Neomars Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I think the set looks pretty good. I do remember the Space Pimp mobile and, well it definitely looks like it inspired it. At least its a hefty 350 piece build, and also it's a vehicle the Marvel theme hasn't had a thousand times before (looking at you helicopters) I think it's really cool how we're getting so many new Iron Man armors. As long as they come along side new figures of course. I wonder why the rest of the sets for both Marvel and DC didn't show up when so many other themes did? And just to tag on I think the likely hood of those sets is very low. Plus wouldn't it make more sense to get a Deadpool set in the winter wave because all movie themed merchandise comes out at least two months before the movie. But wouldn't it make even more sense that they wouldn't make it because the movie is like a very hard rated R. Quote
agoodfella77 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 It seems that the Juniors sets will indeed come with proper legs as it is showing Loki's full fig? Quote
N_Cat Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 It seems that the Juniors sets will indeed come with proper legs as it is showing Loki's full fig? That wasn't ever in question, was it? Has any Juniors set ever come with anything less than the full figures? I think only the Mighty Micros are/were in question. Quote

Thanks for the clarification... btw, can someone shed light on how people are accessing Lego.com's cache? Is this something that is readily available? Edited October 12, 2015 by agoodfella77 Quote
Borex Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Too bad they didnt chose for comic Iron Man and Loki. Missed opportunity imho. Iron Skull Sub - Not bad. Looks like a batmobile. Swimsuit Iron Man looks great in those colours. I hope the Hydra soldier comes with a new facial expression. Neutral on Cap and Skull. Quote
Hellfyre Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Does anyone know who this character is? Brickset has him listed under 'Marvel Superheroes' and will be a polybag next year. http://brickset.com/...ets/30604-1/{-} EDIT: Nvm, its Cosmic Boy from DC. Edited October 12, 2015 by Hellfyre Quote
Legoman123 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I'm hoping the Submarine has an actual interior. Other than that though it looks excellent. Quote
tafkatb Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I can 100% confirm that Taylor Stevenson's list is false. Quote

Kaanere Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Why, do you actually know the set list? No, it's because it is just impossible to be true. Quote

TheBrickBuilder14 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Quick question, does anyone know if Lego will continue to use their dual molded legs? I was dissapointed to find out that Cap doesn't have it in the Hydra sub and Superman doesn't have it either in the DC set that was leaked. Furthermore I haven't seen any dual molded legs in any of the new leaks so far. Quote
Legoman123 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 And Taylor, the guy who posted the list, himself confirmed the list as fake, so yeah. Oh right. Well that's a shame as I really wanted a Deadpool set. Quote

However, in the BvS: DoJ Batmobile next year, Batman has dual molded legs, so I'm guessing we have yet to see more, possibly on Ms. Marvel in the Avenjet. Quote

They're probably just saving them for pricey sets and such. They aren't cheap to make and haven't been easy to reuse thus far. Quote
