Ultron Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Hopefully Captain Marvel at least has the dual molded legs. Quote
kevkipo Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Well IF we don't get Hawkeye in any CW sets, how about releasing him in a polybag (like this Cosmic Boy apparantly) ? Edited October 12, 2015 by kevkipo Quote
Elgard Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Well IF we don't get Hawkeye in any CW sets, how about releasing him in a polybag (like this Cosmic Boy apparantly) ? No. I'd like to see a new character like the Wasp from 1987 or Batroc. I think polybags should be spared for exclusives and special minifigures. Quote
agoodfella77 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Just realized Cap has a new face, that's nice. I see scuba looking goggles and i think he has new printing on his torso, I could be wrong though about the torso though. How can you tell from that grainy pic, unless you are talking about a higher quality one that hasn't been seen yet? Quote
Winter Soldier Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Well IF we don't get Hawkeye in any CW sets, how about releasing him in a polybag (like this Cosmic Boy apparantly) ? No, don't thinking we will get Hawkeye in a polybag. The Cosmic Boy is more 'promobag' ( it will be included in a case of a LEGO Batman movie coming out in 2016 ).These are just my thoughts, I could be wrong. EDIT: movie is 2017 Edited October 12, 2015 by Winter Soldier Quote
kevkipo Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 That's strange? why do we get a reveal of a minfig for 2017? No. I'd like to see a new character like the Wasp from 1987 or Batroc. I think polybags should be spared for exclusives and special minifigures. Well, Lego does release Polybags with movies, and he doesn't require new molds. Also if he is only in a Polybag and not in a set, doesn't that make him a Exclusive or "Special" ? Quote

No, that does not make it special or exclusive as there has already been 2 Hawkeye variants and 1 Hawkeye polybag. Batroc on the other hand does not need new molds as well as other normal people like Coulson. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I haven't kept up enough to be in the know..cosmic boy? I hadn't heard of that promobag. The racers were likely a pass anyway other than a few key characters, but with short legs I agree, I won't be getting them because I needed printed legs. I guess Juniors set it is...maybe. It definitely isn't worth what it costs either. Quote
Ultron Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I haven't kept up enough to be in the know..cosmic boy? I hadn't heard of that promobag. DC character. I guess people are bringing him up to see the likelihood of us getting a promo. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) How much do you think just buying Iron Skull will be? Same for Hammerhead Iron Man? Does anyone think that it will be cheaper to buy the set than just those two figures separately? Edited October 12, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote
Ultron Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) I think that Iron Man will go for upwards of at least $7. Sellers are going to know he's the main draw of the set. Plus he has a printed arc reactor piece, is exclusive, and has the added armor too. Iron Skull I think will be less money, maybe around $5? Of course I'm no marketing analyst so they could be more/less. I'd just buy the set, at least you'll be getting some pieces and another goon for your moneys worth. But do as you please Edited October 12, 2015 by Ultron Quote

Does anyone think that it will be cheaper to buy the set than just those two figures separately? I personally think it is cheaper to buy the whole set instead of getting the minifigures seperately. I bought every Marvel set so far (except the Helicarrier) and it turned out to be cheaper or equal in price than buying only the minifigures. Quote

MK 7 Iron Man coming in the Juniors set next year is currently going for $20+, so I can only imagine what this brand new, armored, different colored, Iron Man will go for. Thanks for the help guys, I think buying the set is the best way to go now. Quote

Batroc on the other hand does not need new molds as well as other normal people like Coulson. I see what you mean, but a new variant of someone is still exclusive in my eyes. For example take the new Hammerhead Iron Man if he'd be in a polybag then he would be exclusive too, despite the fact we already have around 15 Iron Man variants. But i am now discussing a what if, wich really isn't relevant to anything here. I think that Iron Man will go for upwards of at least $7. Sellers are going to know he's the main draw of the set. But do as you please I'd say he goes up for $7 as well, but if you are into Subs and another goon like Ultron said, then yes it's a buy for you For example take the Avenjet, i am not going to buy to but i do wan't thanos. So i will be paying the expected $15-$17 for him, for me that is a better solution than buying a vehicle i don't want and having to put it on a shelf, taking up space (Wich i don't have anymore! ) So it's all up to you. Legocity2713 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 If any poly bag, I'd want Superior Iron Man, Superior Spider Man, Spider Gwen or Coulson It would be great to see those figures though. Fingers crossed (especially for Coulson) I see that you are kinda new here, so just an fyi, in this thread we tend to talk more about confirmed news than wish lists. I hope you understand, its nothing personal its just because if we were to all post what figures we want nothing would get done in this thread. Quote

I can't see a thing in that tiny picture. For a while, I thought the new Iron Man has some new helmet (possibly the Space Marine one, not watching the show), then I realized that blurred orange stain is a visor in metallic copper of the regular Iron Man helmet and it's really a Hammerhead armor from Iron Man 3, which made me even more excited. N_Cat Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) How much do you think just buying Iron Skull will be? Same for Hammerhead Iron Man? Does anyone think that it will be cheaper to buy the set than just those two figures separately? It's certainly a better deal to buy sets than figures, but if you truly only want figures, it can be somewhat cheaper to just buy the figures individually. I spend a fair amount of time on Bricklink deciding how to get particular figures, so I'll share my general impressions: In a medium sized Superheroes set like the Skull Submarine, you can typically get every figure for less than the MSRP, but you aren't saving much money (e.g. Hulkbuster Smash would be about $26 for all the figures vs $30 NIB). When you don't want every figure, things change. The two most desirable figures in this type of set usually average between $8-12 each. After a month, I imagine underwater Iron Man and Iron Skull could be acquired for $10 each on Bricklink. $20 for 2 figures is really a terrible value, but if you really don't want the rest of the set, it's better than paying $35 just to get those two figures. Because they come from a larger set, I can see Captain Marvel and Thanos selling for ~$15 each. Space Iron Man could go for $10, while Hyperion and Cap will probably go for $5. If my two most desired figures were Captain Marvel and Mark 37, then I could spend ~$25 to get just them rather than $105 to get their sets. I could put the $80 I "saved" towards sets that I actually cared about. There are places where figures are much cheaper than Bricklink, but I'm not a part of any of those communities. I agree with most of this, although as Nolan pointed out Thanos would be about $20. Heck, I got Quicksilver this year for $20, I didn't really like the set at all. I do however believe Cap and Hyperion will go for at least $8, given their exclusivity and Hyperion's appearance in the recent episodes. As for Sapce Iron Man, it depnds on the way they do the figure, possibly with extra pieces like the Deep Sea Iron Man's chest piece. If so, he may go for a pretty penny, given the Iron Legion Minifigures themselves go for $10-$12 apiece, and there are two of them in 76038. Quote
