Amazing Bricks Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Our best look yet at BvS superman. I really love that hair piece, but it just doesn't go well with him. I still don't know what to think about the bright red. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxNDM4/z/hgUAAOSwkZhWSSiW/$_1.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFg5MzQ=/z/HZUAAOSwT4lWSSij/$_1.JPG Edited November 17, 2015 by amazingbricks
Ultron Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Yeah I really don't like the hairpiece on him. It doesn't have the superman feel to it.
Clone OPatra Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I like that figure as a cool, different Superman minifig. I'm not sure it's a great representation of the character in the film (seems too bright and cheery to me), but as a Superman minifig I like the look. There have been lots of slightly different iterations of Supes over the years.
BluePulse Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 the red eyes looks great for him but the smiling face really looks dumb and doesnt suit him, normal superman would look great with that face! but i seriously doubt that the dark man of steel in the movies would, or will make a face as happy as that. i know the movies aren't all dark and gritty, and there will be humor. but his character does not suit that face . dont mind the red too bad but the brighter blue accents do make him seem a bit- off. but keeping his face on the side with the laser eyes, i think he'll look pretty great in my displays, though ill probably only be able to afford the smallest set
adotnamedstud Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Our best look yet at BvS superman. Bear in mind we've had these for a while: And for WW: Credit to Luiggi.

I mean in MoS he isn't that cheerful at all, and I imagine he won't be in BvS. I guess I will have to use his face from MoS sets. If it was comicbook based set, then this face would have worked fine. But this minifigure is supposed to be based on darker Superman, who doesn't have this goofy smile. Edited November 17, 2015 by benderisgreat
legosamsonite Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I think the hair is great for Henry cavill superman
Numbuh1Nerd Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 It'll serve as a pretty good source for these new parts, which is all I really need. I've got plenty of old grumpy Superman heads, it wouldn't be hard to just swap one out. I'd say they might have done that for the sake of making it really clear that Superman's a good guy too.
TheBatstan Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Personally I think it's perfect hair for Robin as well. Reminds me of Tim's messy hairstyle he had during his time as Robin and it's could be a great change up from the standard neatly combed hair we've been getting for so long. It's a great, modern alternative to the quiff hairstyle used in the original Batman line.
KCMatze Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I like that hairpiece. Sure it is not the signature Superman haircut, but Henry Cavill does not wear that also. And as it is a movie based figure I think it works great! Also, don't we always whine about characters NOT getting fitting hairpieces?! (Scarlet Witch etc.) So let's be thankful for a new piece we can use on a lot minifigures!

I'd also like to see it reused on characters such as Tony Stark in the Marvel theme. But it does look very nice on him, perfect for Cavill. Edited November 17, 2015 by Aegis2000
Galaad Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I'll do pictures with others head tomorow to show you.

NXS7 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Whilst it does look a bit like Henry Cavill's hair I think it doesn't suit the new figure. Would be great for additional recreational use though
psqidexslizer248 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I really like this hair for Cavill's Superman. It isn't perfect, but it beats the alternatives but far. Also, I think the smiling face is appropriate for this Superman; he smiled several times in MoS and will undoubtedly smile again in BvS. The bright red also looks great and is accurate to the source material.
NXS7 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Well... Yeah he did smile... But not as cheesily as that. I mean he's facing law suits, public hate and critism, a billionaire who holds his one weakness and Batman... He ain't got nothing to smile about

KCMatze Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Haha nice one. Heads can be easily swapped. New piece - more fun. To me it looks okay, not the best thing about the minifigure, but I'll take it for sure!
Galaad Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Here's some, more on my Flickr: And Superman&Wonder Woman:
BrickBob Studpants Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Thanks for the pictures I really like that new hairpiece and I'm quite amazed how well if fits other characters (especially Tony Stark and Simon Masrani) Do you happen to own a Poe Dameron minifig? I'd love to know how well the hairpiece would work on that minifig
Zilcho Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Here's some, more on my Flickr: And Superman&Wonder Woman: Thanks for the pics! Could you do one with Robin?
