Bricky Dee Williams Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Thanks!!!! You're welcome. I haven't seen them show up at my Target in the past few weeks, I fear the worst.
BuzzableBuzzer Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Lightining lad looks nice, to bad I won't be able to get him :( The juniors set sounds interesting, do you think it will be 2012 lex?
Bricky Dee Williams Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I reckon maybe Lex with the power armour Makes sense against Supes, but it seems a little too "super" for batman. Maybe? I'm thinking Lex has a vehicle, and Batman has a vehicle. And wow, we've exceeded 3,000 posts!
Numbuh1Nerd Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Couldn't find the minifig cube at my nearest Target (West Virginia) which is a major bummer. Lightning Lad looks stellar, and those other three look they have some useful parts! I just hope it doesn't take as long for me to get this one as it did the last one, which I just got this summer. I really hope the new Juniors set has some variant of Lex in it. I know we've really only gotten him once, but I'm desperate for something different with him. I'm really bummed that I didn't get the Power Armor Lex with Lego Batman 2, and I doubt they'd be able to do that minifig again, especially in a Juniors set, but I'd be okay with his old Superfriends look (especially if he's robbing a bakery ) so long as it's not just a suit. I might let that pass if it comes with a Superman variant, though. Perhaps his New 52 outfit, or even something to emulate the Richard Donner Superman movies or his early appearances? The Juniors sets just seem to gel so naturally with the Golden and Silver Age stuff, it's hard to resist going overboard with expectations!

As a side note, I was absolutely shocked to find out Lightning Las was included earlier this year! Okay, I'm done.
N_Cat Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 If we got Lex Luthor stealing pastries in a Lego set, that would be the best thing ever. Of course, it'd be too much of a parts investment to include all the cakes (four tens), and that's terrible. I'm not sure the joke is well known enough anyway for them to do it, but I would buy the set just for the novelty, even if the set itself is terrible.
Hexagonical_waffles Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 When do you think we could get pictures or news about Gotham City Cycle Chase
Deathstroke77 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 We already have prelims Hexagonical_waffles
Thelegodan Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 When do you think we could get pictures or news about Gotham City Cycle Chase we will probably get leaked final images around mid december or early January from a catalogue. That is when we got images of like the Avengers sets last year

They could've included him in the friends cupcake café! Or maybe we'll get a similar DC Girls set :P Lex with cakes would be hilarious
Hexagonical_waffles Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 We already have prelims Hexagonical_waffles Where can I find said prelims. "Gotham city cycle chase prelims" on Google didn't show anthing
Deathstroke77 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I have a link to some as my signature says, pm if you would like it.
LegoPercyJ Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Do we know if/when the Lightening Lad Cube will be available?
Bricky Dee Williams Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Do we know if/when the Lightening Lad Cube will be available? According to Allen at TheBrickFan, some Targets have not received them and/or won't. Many have taken town the ads for the free cube promotion. I think they sold out online, and they're done for.
gleepglorp Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I went to my local Target. Puyallup, WA & with the DCPI they said every store within 50 miles is out & not expecting any shipments :(

The Lego Nolan Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I'm confident that I'll find one somewhere. Last year I found the cube on Saturday of that year so there's probably still time.
Neomars Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 The Brick Fan has a review up and says something along the lines of "corporate isn't happy about them being sold online early." Perhaps there was a mishearing and the cubes weren't meant to be sold this early. It would explain why there appearance and disappearance came so abruptly. I've seen some online stores who got a bunch of them but I don't really know if they're scalpers or not. I do believe they will pop up again closer to Christmas time.
Super Goblin Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 No way they don't sell these instore. When did the cubes show up instore last year?
BlockLogo Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I'm pretty sure those cubes will not be available from Target anymore, online or in stores. They were available for sale as well as a freebie with a $50 purchase, and you could buy multiples of them. And at the same time there was a coupon code for 20% off toys that was supposed to exclude LEGO, but for a while people successfully used the coupon with the minifig cube. I saw some people who bought several of them for $8, which is ridiculously cheap - $2 a piece for exclusive minifigs - considering Lightning Lad alone will probably go for more than $20 on the secondary market soon.
KCMatze Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 He already is over 20$. Plus shipping and taxes to Germany I will have to pay about 50€ for ONE figure. Original cost of this is about 3$. Thank you American one store exklusive bull***. Sorry. That had to be said.
Robianco Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Being in the UK I'm not sure how Target arranges it's stock or how it distributes from online only to in-store stock but it would surprise me if this ended up as an online only thing. Surely the entire stock of them wasn't just snapped up online? Their warehousing surely had stock set up for delivery to stores rather than just one big pile that was allocated only to online sales. I'm thinking that maybe the online stock was accidentally sold early but the store stock will be shipped out on it's planned release date. That said I'm just waiting for confirmation that mine has reached my friend in Texas before it gets shipped over to me.
BlockLogo Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I'm not really planning on selling mine, so I do hope for everyone who still wants one that I'm wrong and they do still show up in stores. But to me, it does look the inventory was mishandled in some way.
