mantebose Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Maybe this will clear up some misunderstandings. You can see that the yellow lightning belt on the Mighty Micro's version doesn't connect while the Flash we got from last year does. My bad. I was looking only at pic, where he's inside a car. But, anyway, I think, if Lego wish to present a new Flash, they'll redesign him much more, like they've done that before with different Robins.
8BrickMario Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 These Micros figures are not meant to fit with characters in-universe, and thus, are not proper redesigns. Sure, they may have some references to different versions of the characters, like Batman and Flash, but they're meant to be cartoony, wacky alternatives to the figs we've gotten in sets. I don't think these are supposed to be taken so seriously.
Bricky Dee Williams Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I don't think these are supposed to be taken so seriously. That, my friend, is the truest thing I've read in a while.

I don't think these are supposed to be taken so seriously. Agreed. Lego has made specific versions of Batman and Robin to resemble various eras and artists, and you could theoretically analyze those to figure out what versions they represented, and whether it made sense. This isn't that- these figures are just supposed to be cute and stylized loose representations of the general characters. Kinda like the Star Wars micro fighter builds to me: cute and nice, but they don't satiate my desire for actual versions.
Numbuh1Nerd Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Sorry, I wasn't saying that the Mighty Micros Flash IS Wally West, I was just thinking that he might make a good one with some modifications. I was also under the impression that his lightning bolt was the simplified JLU one, but that's not the case. If nothing else, the head will make for a decent JLU-style Flash, which just so happens to be Wally. I'll be picking up all of them I think, since I really like this new Flash figure, I need a new Catwoman, and I'm always game for a Robin variant (especially with that new We Are Robin series introducing a slew of new R-wearing characters). That new Batman figure DOES look quite a bit like the old Animated Series design, though, whether that's intended or not.
Bricky Dee Williams Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 That new Batman figure DOES look quite a bit like the old Animated Series design, though, whether that's intended or not. Well, I believeLego was going for the animated look. Not necessarily bearing any resemblance to anyone, but in fact looking animate. Cartoonish, goofy-looking was their goal.
Amazing Bricks Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Let me make a clarification about the rumored 4th BvS set, I think the rumor I heard got confused with the dc juniors set. The minifigures in that juniors set do come with batman, superman, and lex. That being said, don't expect a 4th BvS set. Edited December 28, 2015 by amazingbricks

Deathstroke77 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Just a thought, could there be a UCS Hall of Justice/Hall of Doom on the way in the coming years? It'd be big, but there'd be some cool figs in both nonetheless. Also, with the new DC films, could figures such as Shazam and Black Adam (probably the villain of Shazam's movie) be introduced in sets? I really dig Shazam's design, and it's a shame his figure was a damn SDCC exclusive. And a question, I got the Darkseid Invasion set over Christmas, but Green Arrow without a hood over his head? Really? Where can I get a Dark/Light Green hood piece to put on Olly?

If you're looking to get a dark green hood piece for Green Arrow, then your best bet would be to purchase one of the woodland elf mini figures from the Lego Hobbit sets.

Robianco Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 In the UK there's a seller called Yellow Farm Bricks on Bricklink that has 50 of them: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=30381&name=Minifig,%20Headgear%20Hood&category=%5BMinifig,%20Headgear%5D#T=S&C=80&O={"color":80,"loc":"UK"}
Lego_v194 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Got a question for those who weren't in a dark age/period in 2008-2012. Has there ever been an official minifigure scale version of the Batpod for the releases of The Dark Knight & The Dark Knight Rises? PS: I am really looking forward to the Bat cycle chase set. (Bats/Harley/Deadshot) Edited December 28, 2015 by Lego_v194
Robianco Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) No... there are no official Batpod releases at that scale. I think there's only one official Batpod release of any scale and that's the giveaway 'UCS' version from last year. There have been various Batbikes released in different sets such as the one in the Batcave here Nothin in support of the Nolan Batman films though Edited December 28, 2015 by Robianco

(Bats/Harley/Deadshot) No, but in that era the closest thing was a Batcycle loosely based on the Bat-Pod in a set with Batman and the cycle chasing Harley Quinn in her hammer truck. The next best thing will indeed be the slightly oversized-looking Batcycle from next year. However, the 2008 Batcycle did have large Bat-shaped wing pieces on the back, but you could always take those off.
Lego_v194 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Thanks Robianco and Aegis2000 Now I am really really looking forward to that Batcycle chase! Edited December 28, 2015 by Lego_v194
8BrickMario Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I hope Superman and Lex's Juniors figures are new. Please re-release the power armor suit!
rob-ot5000 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I hope Superman and Lex's Juniors figures are new. Please re-release the power armor suit! DEAR LORD, SECONDED!! I've been so hesitant to shell out $35 on the secondary market for Power Armor Lex, but he is SO COOL. It would be great to get one actual in a set. It may well end up costing almost as much, and for a Juniors set, but damn, at least I would get a few useful bricks with it!
BlockLogo Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) The power armor set is still pretty easily available at a decent price if you look through amazon regularly. I just got one for Christmas for my son for $24, which is pretty close to what the SRP used to be. There's a ton of listings for $25-$26 right now. Edited December 28, 2015 by BlockLogo
Deathstroke77 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Anyone in the UK seen the new BvS sets yet? Amazon hasn't got them yet

Sorry, I wasn't referring to the Luthor mech set with Martian Manhunter and Superman (6862), where Luthor appears in a business suit, but instead to 30164, where the minifig itself is wearing his armor, similar in style to the Super Friends Lex Luthor / Silver Age comics Lex Luthor. THAT is what I don't wanna shell out so much for. A re-release would be incredibly welcome.

I would not mind if the armor piece itself got re-released, at least leave the printing underneath exclusive. Something like the new Han Solo on Hoth minifigure.
