CM4Sci Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Anyone mind posting the pics here I can't access Facebook, thanks SNIP Edited January 26, 2016 by Clone OPatra Pics too big! I reposted smaller ones below.
KCMatze Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I cannot believe they passed that Killer Croc bigfig and "vehicle" through design. What is wrong with them :D
psqidexslizer248 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) I just figured out how the cap'n boomerang build works; you put one of the boomerang pieces in the horizontal clip then push on the clip to shoot it. I wonder how accurate and precise that will shoot. It would be awesome if it spun and arced in the right way. I know it's simplistic and obvious but I really like it. That is actually pretty cool. The boomerangs will definitely spin (probably not too much though, and I highly doubt they will arch). Distance and how much they spin will depend on how much you push on the pin and where you clip the boomerang. Edited January 26, 2016 by psqidexslizer248
Hoth Rebel Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 From this angle Killer Croc kinda looks like Abomination from the Hulk.
Captain Nemo Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Eeeeehhhhh... Really disappointed in these...Brickset hypes way too much I think. The bat-vehicles are great, but I honestly could care less about getting more Batman-things. The other builds are largely terrible. Croc's water thing is more unforgivable than that baseplate Lego calls a Batcave wall. Killer Croc looks nothing like his great amazing game design, rather an ugly olive Bigfig more akin to Abomination than the reptile foe we wanted. Thank god I have the original. Most of all I'm disappointed in Killer Moth; I hate the helmet. Comic accuracy be damned; the TT Lego design would have looked better. It would not look like an action figure head was chopped off and used. So upset because we won't get another Killer Moth for a very long long time. Devastated!
Super Goblin Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Thanks. Digging the figs but not the builds, except for the tractor.
Clone OPatra Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Those pictures above do not meet our size guidelines, but I've added smaller ones to the first post. Here they are: I quite like the copter in the Scarecrow set. That set overall is pretty tolerable to me, though I don't really care for Killer Moth (his color scheme is too all over the place - not LEGO's fault but I don't like it), and this new Blue Beetle costume (I'm used to the old one with yellow bubble eyes and spandex) does nothing for me.
psqidexslizer248 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Are those wings on Killer Moth trans-orange? Definitely some very questionable design choices on the new Batman villains. At least Blue Beetle and Captain Boomerang look fantastic... for now. Edited January 26, 2016 by psqidexslizer248
deskp Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 crok mold would make an ok BVS trailer doomsday
TheBrickBuilder14 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Well Killer Croc is definately based on his new 52 design and is rather accurate I think its the head that makes him look weird, it doesnt resemble a crocodile in any way. I'm holding off judgement on the other figures until we have seen some clear shots of them but so far I like Katana and Red Hood a lot. crok mold would make an ok BVS trailer doomsday It actually would now that you've said it... interesting I suddenly became more interested in the set haha!
8BrickMario Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Scarecrow looks good so far, but the translucent wings and mandible helmet on Moth also disappoint me. I hope our other source got a bit closer.
vstat05 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Killer Croc looks MUCH better if you get around to zooming in on him, as I too thought that he looked like abomination at first. Granted, I wished he had red eyes and was the same shade of green as the original Croc figure, but I'll still get him, he seems to be based on the Arkham games. I'm not shocked by Killer Moth's different looking helmet, Lego never takes a page from their video games, it always seems to be the other way around. If anything, I'm disappointed with Red Hood's dark tan torso. Otherwise, I think everyone but Todd looks great so far!
Amazing Bricks Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Blue beetle, killer moth, scarecrow, and even the bat copter looks nice! I'm really impressed with the scarecrow set, the farmer and tractor were a nice inclusion. Killer croc looks great! Love how boomerang is based on LB3 and the new boomerang piece is great. That tank is huge, not necessary, but it raises the price. Katana and red hood are amazing!
Sir Gareth Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Any pics of the Juniors set out there? I second this. I'd like to see the Power Armor Lex Luthor minifigure.
Legoman123 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 It's just a shame LEGO still haven't decided to move away from vehicles. I get that we need some, just not as much as we've got. We need more base's/lairs type sets.
BluePulse Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) I also noticed (I could be wrong but) through further investigation of the photos that bats in the Copter appears to have one of the new breathing masks from avengers assemble, he also seems to have green eyes and some (also possibly green) design under the mask on his face. And I may be pushing it because it may have just been the cockpit reflections messing with me but it seemed like his cowl was in a dark blue which would be extremely nice to have without Adam Wests printing on it. And maybe it's terrible of me to bring it up but I seem to remember one of those stupid pretty fake looking figures way back when having a dark blue cowl. I think those plastic wings are completely fake but maybe the cowl and/or torso were at least real. Again this is total speculation but I hope my ideas are correct :) Edited January 27, 2016 by BluePulse
NXS7 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 He does have green eyes and a breather. Nothing else known
Legocity2713 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Blue Beetle's dual molded legs would look good for Nightwing.
BluePulse Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 He does have green eyes and a breather. Nothing else known Good to know I wasn't seein something out of nothing :)! I'm going to start crossing my fingers for a a non-printed dark blue version of bats cowl though!
TheBrickBuilder14 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Could it be possible that Batman has the glow in the dark head and that his eyes are therefore green? Would make somewhat sence with Scarecrows toxin and all.
kylosuperfan Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 So basically Croc gets a chain chomper from Mario Kart... From the angle we got, Scarecrow looks a lot like he does in Superfriends!
Falconfan1414 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Am I the only one who checked to see if the breathing mask worked with the cowl? It does work actually
