Deathstroke77 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I can't say it's my favourite exclusive fig, but it's still a painful one to miss out on. All these exclusives go to people who go to American comic-cons and toy fairs. Don't worry about the rest of the world LEGO, we'll buy ours for £200 on the after-market.
Legocity2713 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 That reads like a non-answer to me. Lots of hedging in there: "information on current products only" ... "as of right now" ... "no plans to offer it... at this time" ... "could change in the future." I seriously doubt they would have gone through all the trouble to give it the usual polybag packaging and a set number if this wasn't going to make an appearance in some other sort of promotion this year. SDCC exclusive figs don't come in polys; I don't see why they'd do it for this one. Especially with such an evident set number on it. It has to be used somewhere else soon. Thats just logical thinking. Right? Right...?
vstat05 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 It is quite unfortunate that Freeze is an NYCC exclusive. I was going to buy it, but only so that I'd have every single figure for this subtheme. I can settle for the main cast, minus Batgirl.
Bricky Dee Williams Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Maybe it'll go like the Electro Polybag from 2014.
Amazing Bricks Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Just as I expected, it won't be given out as a promotion in Lego stores. Maybe they'll give it out in SDCC or NYCC. I'd rather have him be the exclusive than someone else.

Robert8 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 It seems Mr Freeze was indeed a NYTF exclusive.... So, they are producing Toy Fair exclusives now..... Hmmm..... Would you say it's time for everyone to panic?
JTH_Studios Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 It seems Mr Freeze was indeed a NYTF exclusive.... So, they are producing Toy Fair exclusives now..... Hmmm..... Would you say it's time for everyone to panic? Toy Fair exclusives aren't anything new. There was the Captain America and Iron Man figures in 2012 and I think there were some others along the way. I know LEGO's customer service has been somewhat unhelpful in the past, (although to be fair, I contacted them about the Comic Con Figures in 2011 and they did give me a far more direct answer) and like many of you are saying, it could pop up sometime in the future. However, what I was concerned about was me ordering the Classic Batcave online tomorrow and have it be an exclusive in March that can only be purchased with the Batcave (I believe there was a similar instance before). This message just makes me think that it'll be a more general promotion sometime down the line.

CM4Sci Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 They've been doing NYTF exclusives for a while. I believe one year was a bunch of SW figures in different packs, another was a NY I <3 Yoda..
Robert8 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Oh.... I've never heard of TF exclusives before... only CC Thanks for clarify
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Cue the scammers. Although that message sounded quite ominous, it seemed to avoid giving too much information on purpose. "Depending on inventory availability". Perhaps only those higher in the corporate ladder know the actual plans, and Lego Customer Service employees are not allowed to speculate. Because of the unusual format for an exclusive, I'm gonna say that it's not meant to be a toy fair exclusive. Also, keep in mind that copies of this fig appeared before the actual toy fair. I don't recall this ever happening with an exclusive in the past.
Neomars Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Cue the scammers. That's horrible. I believe it will be given out in some other fashion in the future. The Electro polybag just suddenly appeared out of nowhere later in the year and I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up in mass supply at Toys R Us' sometime in the future.
KCMatze Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 No chance anybody buys that for this price. Far too early for that.
Deathstroke77 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Bet those people selling the figure early on ebay for about £20 are kicking themselves now.
WarSquirrel Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Cue the scammers. Ouch! You can't blame them though... its LEGO's fault for the availability (and the people who actually buy them )
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I assumed Mr. Freeze was exclusive for buying the Batcave on shop.lego.com like Winter Soldier + Helicarrier. Official release date of the Batcave still is March 1st.
Chookdude Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 just ordered my batcave from shop@home cant wait for it to arrive
JTH_Studios Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) Can anybody actually buy these yet? It's not working for me... I even got an email from Brickset telling me to use their link to place my order... To test it out I switched countries a bunch of times...United States doesn't seem to have the option... le-goat Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Gives us the option to purchase here in the UK after logging in to VIP account - I think I'll just wait for general release and pick up from stores
Deathstroke77 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I can when logging into my VIP account. Won't be buying though.
just2good Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 It'll be a S@H promo in April IIRC. For about $75 threshold. Just be patient.
