BlockLogo Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 The trailer for the movie that Nightwing comes with looks pretty decent again. I'll keep buying as long as both the figures and movies are good...
retrotaco Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I like that Supergirl hair a lot more than the one from Brainiac Attacks set.
SpiderSpaceman Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) I watched the cosmic clash movie even though I know I oughtta whisk away the figures and smash the dvd's to pieces - I was actually really into 2 aspects of it: The hybridized Batmobile/Cosmic-Treadmill Flash-powered time machine is actually a great model and a great concept for a corny DC story. Also, the 2D graphic design is as good as the sets, like the prints on the figures that don't really exist - top notch. Which thinking back, they've had some aesthetically excellent designs once they got past the really bad pre-physical figure Cyborg. The Alfred was perfect, where the videogame from the same era just unlovingly reused the lego batman 2006 version. The Grodd was better than the set version, as I recall. Guy Gardner was perfect, and Desaad. (Were the parademons in it or just unplayable characters in the tie-in DLC?) Things that just make you bummed that they're not in your drawer or on your shelf or blasting through your cityscape. I mean the minifigure head brainiac ship is kinda unforgivable and the pirates and cavewomen/proto-amazons were nothing special, but on things that mattered they pulled it off. Designs worth screencapping before i chuck the movies in a blender Oh wait and my favorite immortal caveman world conqueror is in there, I forgot! I didn't understand the lanky freakish woody-ness, but otherwise solid enough. Guess I'm gonna put in an order for my nightwing and my pirate batman on amazon. Actually does Lego.com sell the DK books and do they go toward order total on the freebies? is '66 freeze still in stock? I missed out on martian manhunter to hordes of people who were saying "I've never heard of this guy, he's not that cool, but hey, he's free. I got 6 from the 6 orders I did..." Then I bought it off bricklink, but still. Edited April 5, 2016 by SpiderSpaceman

I would guess he will be in stock at least a couple more days as Martian Manhunter took 10 days to sell out if memory serves.
wesleydoogan Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 They do sell DK books on the lego store online but the DC one has not popped up. It is currently only £7 on Amazon UK though!
TheBrickBuilder14 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Must say that I absolutely love the Commissioner Gordon figure that is in the trailer for the Gotham City Breakout movie, really hoping we'll get a figure that looks similar to that in the near future...
Numbuh1Nerd Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Must say that I absolutely love the Commissioner Gordon figure that is in the trailer for the Gotham City Breakout movie, really hoping we'll get a figure that looks similar to that in the near future... Same, that would be great. Honestly, if we get another Batman set with a cop, that cop better be Jim.
BaneShake Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Does anyone else think it's odd that GCB has an exclusive blue Nightwing but the movie Nightwing is still New 52? I'll still be picking it up, but that seems bizarre.
BlockLogo Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Yeah, that's weird. Trickster, Cosmic Boy, and Batzarro were all pretty much like they were depicted in the movie. I don't remember if Clark Kent from Superheroes Unite ever appeared in the movie like that, but I don't think so.
retrotaco Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 It seems like it's because in the DVD the minifigs all represent their New52 looks (which is why Red Nightwing is in the movie) while the minifig itself, at least this time around, was purely fan service, which is why it was the now "out of date" Blue Nightwing.
rossrifle5150 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Ah, but it's only out of date until DC's Rebirth event!
Airbenderfreak Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I apologize if this has already been asked, but does anyone think that Supergirl might have her Red Lantern suit in her fun pack?

I'm glad we're getting the blue Nightwing... I prefer that version much better - however I would have loved that Gordon figure to have been the free minifigure with the DVD.
Numbuh1Nerd Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I apologize if this has already been asked, but does anyone think that Supergirl might have her Red Lantern suit in her fun pack? Physically or in-game? Because if you're looking for in-game, then do I have good news for you! Physically seems a heck of a lot less likely, since most if not all Lego Dimensions figures are their default appearances in-game, and Supergirl's default is classic Supergirl.
JaseTJ Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Plus whomever posted about her said she's the exact same figure as before except for the hair (and possibly cape).

Of course, the New 52 costumes are somewhat out of date already anyway. Dick Grayson has been a special agent for a while, Cyborg has a more simplified look since his solo series, and Batgirl's costume is one of many with a drastic overhaul. But I suppose I'm nitpicking.
retrotaco Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Ah, but it's only out of date until DC's Rebirth event! Oh, are they bringing back the black and blue look? Nice. Of course, the New 52 costumes are somewhat out of date already anyway. Dick Grayson has been a special agent for a while, Cyborg has a more simplified look since his solo series, and Batgirl's costume is one of many with a drastic overhaul. But I suppose I'm nitpicking. Oh yeah, for sure - they're out of date as far as the current looks, but it seems like they're going for a 'classic' appeal while still using the New52 costumes that they've released (except for Superman and Green Lantern's New52 looks which I want so bad lol) so it's never gonna match up just right.
Amazing Bricks Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I apologize if this has already been asked, but does anyone think that Supergirl might have her Red Lantern suit in her fun pack? She won't, they wouldn't take the time to put an exclusive variant of her in a fun pack. Plus, her look has been leaked. She has the Series 1 Cheerleader's hair piece with everything else being the same as she looked in the braniac attack set.

Yep :) here's the link again that I posted on a previous page (assuming these aren't fake of course).. http://www.brickstol...racters-leaked/ I actually really like Supergirl with this hair piece! Deathstroke77 Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) So they are doing Wave 6 for packs then? Well, TTG packs aren't off the cards yet then. Edited April 6, 2016 by AngelofVengeanceAzrael7
BaneShake Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) I just ordered the new DC fig book. It occurred to me, Pirate Batman is the first Batman that is justified having a glorious sun tanned face! Edited April 6, 2016 by PepperoniBricks

BaneShake Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I flipped through the character encyclopedia after it got in. Mostly good, but it has a few odd mistakes, especially on the Batman Begins Batman page. Obviously, the pirate Batman is great. My only nitpick is why he doesn't have dual-molded and printed legs. If a Collectible Minifigure can have both for $4, a figure in a book like this should be able to afford this too.
Brickity Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Ugh. I love most of the new sets, specially the batcave (even though it's mostly panels). I see all these images and go crazy over them, but I know that in the end I'll just have those sets laying somewhere and feel like I just "wasted" a ton of money. Growing up is effin' up my passion for LEGO.
