I think he has an old face and a young face that cannot be seen on thsi picture. If they go with that route, it means the set will feature the Lazarus pit.

That would actually be pretty cool. I can't think of any other reason they'd use a face that is so clearly off.

Is that what the Lazarus pit does? Turn you young/old or something? Sorry, I don't follow comics.

Ra's Al Ghul uses it to make himself younger, which allows him to live for hundred of years.

Ohhh, ok, cool.

Also, pleeease fix your icon, it's been broken for months and it's kinda.. annoying. :laugh: Make it Raven! Or that Joker you had, that was really cool.

Lazarus Pit = A re-juvenating pit that offers eternal life, but using it comes with some nasty side-effects, some life-threatening. In some stories, Ra's uses it so many times he becomes completely insane or his body is ruined. There y'all go, you've probably all learnt something new. Now back on topic. Initially like I said I thought it looked good, but now I'm having a few reservations about it. It kinda looks a bit... bland I guess. Yeah, it's BTAS style, but my main vision of Ra's is from the movies and Arkham games.

So that would make a lot of sense - one side, which we're seeing, is pre-rejuvenation, and the other side will have black facial hair. That would be pretty neat.

I feel like this picture doesn't do this figure justice, the gold parts around his neck have some detailing that would look nice once in better pictures or in hand. I didn't expect much from this figure, it was either a green business suit or a bare chest, both of which we already have. I'm glad we got an outfit that isn't generic, and I'm also hoping for an alternate younger face as well.

I agree! Fingers crossed. :excited::wub_drool:

Now that we've gotten a better close up, I'm fairly certain there will be a younger face. It's simple, but I like it. I'm glad it's not just shirtless Ra's like we kept getting in the early Lego Batman games; that will be easy enough to replicate with preexisting torsos.

I'm kinda let down. I mean, it could've been worse; he could've just been shirtless, which would have been pointless, but I was expecting something a bit more detailed, like the Mandarin. The lack of leg print, while accurate to the source picture, really bothers me. It just looks out of place among the more detailed minifigs recently, like it's a minifig from a few years ago, rather than 2016.

But it's possible that it isn't official? In the gap in the waist you can sorta see the connecting part to the torso, which looks similar to some bootlegs waist piece.

I thought that was his actual icon pic :laugh:

I'm underwhelmed. I was hoping he would get the Venkman/12th Doctor style hair in black with white. If he does have a double sided face I'll be a little more pleased but for now I'm just kind of "meh." And Ra's is one of my favorite Batman villains so that's pretty disappointing.

Me too, I like it how it is. It's special.

On a more related note: I actually like Roz Al Ghouls' face. I don't care for the minifigure as it's character, because I don't read the comics, but the face is really nice.

I'm prolly wrong, and I'm no expert on the subject, but it looks like a bootleg to me. Something about the hips and the hands looks off. The wrists look too square. Might be the lighting though.

Unrelated to the Ra's set but if you look in the comic from the man of steel sets, there is a tractor and a farmer in a red cap similar to what is in the scarecrow set.

From what I've heard that is common with LEGO, a set or build being canceled only to be used later on. Nice find!
