Deathstroke77 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Damn, that is probably the best fig I've seen in a while.
Captain Britain Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Thanks guys for all the Red Hood ideas - I'm thinking the best looking ones are Helicarrier Fury and Genera Hux, with Fury lookin better - I imagine Fury costs a pretty penny though, that set being expensive as it is. Any chance anyone has Superboy and Hux/Fury and could take a pic of the Superboy jeans on those torsos? (and if you've got a red head piece, even better!) Just wanna get a visual idea of what they look like before I'd start hunting those pieces down. You're based in the US right? Shouldn't be too bad to pick up a Fury torso at all :) he was made available in Bricks & Pieces on the Lego store a while ago (he's been removed now) but I think a load of people ordered a fair few so there's a few on Bricklink going for a couple of dollars. http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=973pb1970c01&idColor=11#T=S&C=11&O={"color":11} Damn, that is probably the best fig I've seen in a while. Looking forward to some Batcave updates!
Deathstroke77 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 So, Rescue from Ra's is £35 here in the UK, so probably $40 in the US: http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Batman-Rescue-from-Ra-s-al-Ghul-76056?fromListing=listing Also, looks like we'll be getting BvS keyrings of Bats and Supes tomorrow as well.

Where did you see news about Bats & Supes key rings mate? Been looking for new key rings for ages as my other half collects them. When I was last in the Lego store he said new Star Wars ones based on The Force Awakens should be out in June too.
Deathstroke77 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I took a look on the US page to see if they had the new sets up (saying 'coming soon' like on the UK page) and, though it didn't show the new sets, it showed 2 new keyrings coming tomorrow. Switch to the US DC Comics page on S@H and you should see them, second page.

Looks like we're also getting Captain America, Black Widow, Finn, Rey, BB8 and Poe Dameron! (although those ones don't belong in this thread.. apologies!).
Legocity2713 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 If you want a BvS Batman but don't want the Batmobile, get the new keychain, take off the key ring part by holding it over a flame and pulling the figure and chain apart slowly and then replace the cowl with a spare one. Or maybe you want Batman's dual molded legs and don't want to buy the Joker's Funland or the Batmobile and don't want to pay $2.22 for just the legs, get the keyring and remove the legs. I will be buying the Finn Keychain removing the chain and the covering the hole with a spare of his hairpiece that I have. Just and PSA to anyone interested. This ans cutting baseplates is about as far away from purist as I get. :)

Duncan Young Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I've never actually had a LEGO keychain, so do the head-torso/torso-legs come off like a normal minifigure, or are they special? From past experience the torso and hips are glued together while the hair, head, arms and legs can come off
Marvelous Spidey Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 They aren't special as far as know, their hands do come off and I think arms and legs could, but the keychain part actually goes down through the neck of the torso and into the hips.

You might luck out with the Fury torso. It was available for purchase on Bricks & Pieces for a while, so I'm guessing that there are some resellers out there who stocked up when it was. Good luck!
Captain Britain Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 From past experience the torso and hips are glued together while the hair, head, arms and legs can come off Yup - 100% correctamundoooo... got my Flash key ring in my hand right now.

Yeah I don't think holding it over a flame sounds safe for the fig lol. I have seen someone point a soldering iron head in the little loop though and pull on the fig at the same time. It only takes a few seconds before the pin slips straight out. Just need to be careful not to touch the iron against the plastic. This is one vid that shows it but there's a load on YouTube. Obviously not everyone has a soldering iron but seems like a easy way to do it with no effort.
Robianco Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I think they'd started to create new leg moulds that also had a piece that ran through the body and acted as the neck joint too. Torsos has the neck hole drilled (moulded) out. The recent Chewbacca keyring was like that. Doesn't make much difference when displaying the fig but removed the modular nature of the minifig.
Legocity2713 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Legs, arms, and hands come off easily as stated before. For magnets however its hands, arms, and helmets come off. (As do accessories) Using these methods I got me a Boba Fett figure. :)
Captain Nemo Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Guys, can we focus on the sets please? Discussion about how to disembowel a keychain are not particularly relevant to this thread. Thanks!
achromaticplaid Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Captain Marvel's head right? Very cool! It is, with the help of an eraser.
Deathstroke77 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Fun fact: Despite the Batcave having something like 700 more pieces than The Tumbler, they both have a box that is the same size. I assume the Batcave has more smaller pieces than the Tumbler.
Darkslayer Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I am really confused that the Batcave they made was the Adam West one since it came out around the same time BvS was released in theaters. I may have bought a BvS one.
retrotaco Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 There isn't a BvS Batcave set, so you should get exactly what you expected, the TV Show Batcave.
Deathstroke77 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I would've preferred it if they did one from the Arkham Series, likely the one from the Arkham City DLC. However, I'm glad they did a 60's set. However, I really would've liked the sets as a seperate wave. So you would have a mid-sized set with the Batmobile, a mid-sized set with the Batcopter, a big £130 Batcave and maybe the Bat-cycle thingy (name escapes me) as a polybag.
