Good find! The base has a really old Lego vibe which I love but I'm confused on the inspiration for Talia's outfit. Her catsuit is usually black and the only dark red costume I've seen her wear was in TDKR.

Also-Anyone apologised to Delta Customs yet ;)

I was one of the first doubting him and now I am one of the first thanking him. So unexpected but so great!:thumbup:

And while I'm at it, here is the Killer Croc/Bat-Tank set review from ALF on Youtube:

I like everything about that set, other than Robin's cape. I don't like that cape, it has too many points on it for me. Just a nitpick, but it, for me, severely detracts from the figure.

I know this is just a semantics issue really, but what exactly has the word 'review' come to mean? Neither of these are reviews... they're some shots of the product. They're very helpful to our discussion, for sure, but I can't understand how anyone calls word-less, opinion-less content a 'review.'

Anyhow, the Ra's set looks pretty much just as lousy as I thought, but the Croc set seems pretty cool. Even though the dentures of doom are a ridiculous, pointless vehicle, the design is quite nice and I dig the play feature shown off in that video.

Gets more hits cause its a word people will search for on youtube.

I understand and completely agree. I personally prefer commentary and analysis on the set as well, it is more than just a "here is the set, you arbitrarily judge it after the fun of building is taken away from the equation."

But since it says "review" in the title I thought that I might as well say the same thing. Perhaps "overview" is a better word since a review is a: "formal assessment or examination of something with the possibility or intention of instituting change if necessary," things the video does not offer. In any case, I still agree.

Onto the sets though: I still don't really like the tank or the Croc-Mobile and sadly, even the Ra's al Ghul set is losing its appeal (personally).

Still on the fence but those figures are still really sick and must haves for the Rouges Gallery. I don't want another Two-Face fiasco where I'm kicking myself to this day for not getting him when I got the chance.

Sorry to get off topic, but could someone take a picture of Sinestro with the BvS Superman hair? On the neutral side of his face?

I'd like to see how it looks since I'm thinking of switching him and Kraven's hair pieces once I get the spider bridge set.

I'm actually enjoying the sets now more after those "reviews". I was always keen on the Ra's set and loved all the minifigs but I wasn't crazy about the Bat-tank and Dentures of Doom until I saw more of them. There's just something very LEGO about the DoD and the tank has a very interesting design.

Why what did some one do to delta?

Before the toy fairs, Delta posted a list detailing figures we'd be getting; Red Hood, Killer Moth, Blue Beetle, Ra's, Talia and no one believed him at all

She wears a red catsuit when in combat in Grant Morrison's run of batman and robin which was probably her biggest recurring role in comics. Plus a black catsuit could get her confused with Catwoman.

Personally I think the Wonder Woman face fits Talia perfectly and I like the Ra's figure but I would have preferred if he had a suit like in BTAS.

Ah, I see now, the last Morrsion Batmen books I read was Batman vs Robin but that was back in 2013. Thanks!

There isn't a BvS Batcave set, so you should get exactly what you expected, the TV Show Batcave.

I know, I was just saying I was confused why they didn't do the movie Batcave instead. If this is the wrong topic for this sort of question I apologize.

I just realised in the Ra's set Batman is bringing his own sword, am I the only one that thinks that's weird?

Well, built the Batcave today. Here's my pros, and overall thoughts on the set.

Pros:

- Awesome figs.

- I really like how the Batcave is set up with the three different sections and the little areas you build.

- I REALLY like the Wayne Manor portion. The whole area is fantastic.

- I love the vehicles. While the Batmobile is obviously the party piece here, I'm generating a real liking for the Bat-Copter.

- I love all the nods to the series, like the Bat-Poles and Bat-Phone, and the Shakespeare Bust and sliding bookcase.

- The build was incredibly fun.

Cons:

- I wish that LEGO made a way for the bat-poles that you can actually slide down to be all connected. In the set, behind the bookcase, it's this little pole thing, and below there's the bat-pole area where it does the works. I wish that was all one piece, so you can release Dick and Bruce, then it'll stop after a certain area, then knock Bats and Robin down in their place.

- The price. It should've been lower, as a lot of the pieces were small, I saw the little 1x1 wedge appear A LOT. The price should've been £200 in my opinion.

- There is an unholy amount of stickers. There's over thirty. For a set that I paid £230 for, I was expecting a lot more printed pieces. I think the only notable printed pieces in the set is the bat-symbol 1x1 studs on the Batmobile's wheels, the cowl-like thing on the Bat-copter and the wallpaper in the Wayne Manor portion. IIRC, the rest is all stickers. That disappointed me, especially as someone who is not exactly the master of sticker laying.

- I wish Mr Freeze was included in the set.

- It's quite fragile. I know with The Tumbler, it is fragile because there's a lot of pieces mounted onto a base, and a lot of them are held by clips and pins for example. However, some of the parts of the set are pretty fragile. Holding it in the wrong place can let a whole clump manage to clip out of place.

- Some of the builds were quite repetitive. The atomic pile area is the prime suspect here, as it featured a lot of repetitive builds. Not a fault on LEGO's part, as it really had to look like the show, but I got kinda bored building that part.

Overall: The set is overly positive, but the price is most definitely too high. A lot of the little pieces could've probably been left out, mainly the 1x1 wedge pieces, which would've made the price much more tolerable. There are a few nitpicks like I stated above, the stickers being the main complaint, but overall, this is a fantastic set, with cracking builds and minifigs. Hats off to the creative team at LEGO for this set, they really delivered here.

EDIT: Oops, left out the rating: 8.5/10

Glad to see you liked it overall! I agree with your cons, mainly the stickers and fragile part. The amount of times part of the Wayne Manor build fell apart or came loose when I was trying to build it annoyed me but I wasn't sure if it was because I was being heavy handed or because the surface I was building on wasn't a table for example. I feared sticking the helipad stickers on too! The worse sticker for me was the bat turn lever one on the car out of all of them!

Who's your favourite fig out of the lot? Mine has to be Bats.. I love that printed cowl! Joker is a strong second for sure then probably Riddler for my third.

I must say, that little one that goes under the Shakespeare bust drove me insane, as I kept getting it off-center. Got there eventually though. My favourite fig is Bats as well, and I'd have Ridder second and probably Alfred actually third. It's awesome to finally have an Alfred.

Yeah he's definitely a cool addition! Wish we got a BvS Alfred as I really liked him.

Just had a refund from cancelling my car finance that I didn't expect... REAAAAAAAAALLY want to go get the new Scarecrow set!
