AnnaBuildsLego Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) I will be disappointed however if this is the SDCC reveal; Mighty Micros are a fun concept, but not for someone my age. I'd rather they unveiled a regular set like usual this year. They possibly will still reveal a regular set at SDCC - to my knowledge, the pictures of the 2017 Mighty Micros were released now because they are actually being made available early to SDCC attendees. EDIT: Incorrect - the 2017 Mighty Micros will just be SHOWN at SDCC, not given out. Sorry for the mistake! Edited June 29, 2016 by AnnaBuildsLego

No they won't look in the 2017 thread at what captain nemo said. They won't be available till January "Sadly, those attending SDCC will be able to look but not touch: the sets won’t go on sale, at $9.99 a pop, until January 2017." That's the quote from the site that reveled these first Edited June 29, 2016 by Falconfan1414
BaneShake Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Strange how we saw these before the exclusive minifigs. When did we first see them last year?
Nsk97 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Although it is kind of sad doomsday and bizarro are mighty micros and not standard minifigures, to me bizarro will be pretty much spot on with regular legs and (although a big fig would be preferable) doomsday shouldn't look too bad with them either.

A Bizarro bigfig? He's a clone of Superman, they're basically the same size, save for the slouch?
Venkefedo Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 A Bizarro bigfig? He's a clone of Superman, they're basically the same size, save for the slouch? I think Nsk meant Doomsday, as he'd be pretty solid with regular legs (tho still has a cartoony head), and naturally a lot of people expect a bigfig of him eventually.
retrotaco Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I mean, Bizarro is a clone, but there's also definitely enough references of him being bulkishly bigger than Clark - he IS supposed to be a "failed" clone afterall;

Nsk's bigfig comment came after the "and" in the statement. He meant Doomsday.

Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Yes I did mean Doomsday, apologies for the confusion Oh, yeah, misread that, woops!
sander1992 Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Wow! i did not expect these. also why Wonder Woman vs Doomsday that is so a weird choice. Doomsday isn't even a Wonder Woman villain. why couldn't they do Cheetah or Ares as the mighty micro figure with Wonder Woman. plus Doomsday would kill Wonder Woman in just a few minutes. the only person that can really beat him is Superman but even then he died in the process both times he killed him. I agree. It is a weird choice. I just don't get it. Wonder Woman is and will be a big player in films. Why no introduction of a Wonder Woman Villain?
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I think the Wonder Woman/Doomsday pairing was: A. to avoid making it a "girl's" set and B. to capitalize on BvS's Doomsday fight
BaneShake Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Doomsday wouldn't "kill Wonder Woman in just a few minutes." She was the one doing the bulk of the fighting in BvS, which is why I assume they lumped them together.
SoupOrFishOil Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Yeah, I don't see why Ares wouldn't work (though I am sure that Cheetah would be a really fun Mighty Micros figure, like Red Skull) but I suppose that this isn't that different from Hulk being paired with Ultron. I hope this means Doomsday and especially Bizarro are coming in "real" sets, but these won't be too bad will full legs.

I am talking about in the comics not the movies. plus the person who was fighting Doomsday the most was Superman. Superman fought him way longer than wonder woman. Deathstroke77 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Well, I could buy the Ra's set, but I'm not sure. When I bought the Batcave, they wouldn't discount me with my Merlin pass (they usually give you a 10% discount off LEGO sets, but apparently that doesn't apply to Hard to Find items), so I complained and got the £23 back that I would've had discounted. I now have enough in my LEGO pot (yeah, I have a pot made specifically for putting money in to spend on LEGO sets) for the Ra's set, but I am not far off the Harvester set or the Croc set. I personally think I'll like the Croc set more, but some things from the Scarecrow set have me intrigued. Thoughts?

If some odd supply thing comes up in the future (a la Jurassic World or last year's sets unceremoniously being discontinued without warning) it'll be easier to get the smaller set in a pinch.

Even in the comics, she could hold her own for at least as long as Superman. Heck, isn't there a whole arc in the New 52 where Wonder Woman had to fight a Doomsday-ized Superman?

Doomsday wiped out the entire justice league including wonder woman with one hand behind is back! also in the new 52 he broke both of her arms with one punch. Superman ripped Doomsday in half with his bare hands.

Rerailing conversation, do we know a street date for the later sets yet?
Deathstroke77 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Yeah, I think I'll get a bigger set, then leave the Ra's set maybe as a Christmas item, would allow me to save a bit of money ahead of the mountain coming next year.
Rookie875 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 So I went to the LEGO store to pick up the Ra's set and apparently it's a Lego.com exclusive. Has any set ever been a Lego.com exclusive before or is the employee just incorrect?
Robianco Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 I've never heard of a .com online exclusive. I think I picked up Ras from the Lego store in Liverpool and I think it's sold in Argos stores also in the UK. I'll assume the employee is just confused.
