Krikkit Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) I haveone question. I see this d2c acronym all over the place. What does it actually mean in the lego set case? Edited August 14, 2015 by Krikkit
psqidexslizer248 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) just2good told me that he heard talks concerning Raven's appearance next year, nothing concrete, but what he heard about legs didn't exactly concern Raven. And the crossed legs are out. I guess the leg hint means what we originally thought - legless minifigures in the racers sets. Also, looks like all my whining for Raven might be paying off . Ok thank u now psqidexslizer can now rest in piece knowing they aren't ruining her in these racers... (Some good news for once tonight! ) Yes I can. Guys hate to burst the bubble of the people who are thinkibg we will be getting batman v superman set prelim photos, but we are not. Its to early, the preliminary phtos could ruin the sets and the plot line of the movie such as who is the main villain and some side characters. If you remeber lego made sure that the prelims for Gotg could not be seen becuase they would ruin the story. This same will happen with BvS and Civil War sets. The best thing for us is the prelims of the other sets not movie related in the wave. But i have a feeling we will see oficial set photos near the release of the next BvS trailer. That is near end of September and begining of October. ;) Personally, I think you're absolutly right. However, AoU and Antman sets both had prelim pictures in the catalog even though they both contained spoilerish content, so there is still a chance. Also, the sets are going to spoil stuff anyway since they'll be out 8 weeks before the movie. I doubt we'll have offical images that soon... I'd go with late-October to early-November. YoshiBlockr Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Yea your right witht the antman stuff. But i am pretty sure that we will see offcial set picks begining of october
Ultron Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 O believe we saw official pics for AoU at the end of October and those sets came out 8 weeks later than these will. Unless they're really spoiler filled and WB has a tight leash on them, we may see them in the next few weeks

Unless they're really spoiler filled and WB has a tight leash on them, we may see them in the next few weeks We first saw AOU in the middle of December actually, only a couple months before release, so there might still be a wait before we see any movie set pics for this.
tafkatb Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 There were never any prelim pictures for AoU though; the first pictures we saw (besides the blank boxes) were finalized ones.

Was it December? I swear I remember it in October. Well, November or October is more accurate then.

One or two figures leaked in October/November, but that's all. There were never any prelim pictures for AoU though; the first pictures we saw (besides the blank boxes) were finalized ones. This.

Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 First ones we saw were the final ones in December. One or two figures leaked in October/November, but that's all. Iron Legion helmet was leaked, along with the Ultra Agents Electrolyzer's helmet and the Indiminus Rex mold.
Ashnflash Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) I really wonder what Oky is thinking about these new racers... He hasn't commented yet... Edited August 14, 2015 by Ashnflash
Douglas_Jon Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I really wonder what Oky is thinking about these new racers... He hasn't commented yet... I was thinking that the other day in fact. It'd be a nice gesture from Lego to offer him a portion of the sales if his ideas are very similar to the actual product.
Legocity2713 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I was thinking that the other day in fact. It'd be a nice gesture from Lego to offer him a portion of the sales if his ideas are very similar to the actual product. Gotta keep in mind how far in advance Lego works. Sure maybe they saw his Toy Story racers, but his superheroes ones came after. I imagine they started working on the racers idea around same time (Approximately 3 years ago) It would be a nice gesture for them to at least acknowledge his racers though, maybe in the back of the instructions saying, "if you liked our racers hey take a look at these." Realistically though, a cut of the profits won't happen. By those standards, anyone who made a racer for any one of their DC figures should be getting a payout. It is some nice serendipity though. Hoping for an Oky-style mini Riddler hot rod. That one is my favorite.
LegoPercyJ Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I really wonder what Oky is thinking about these new racers... He hasn't commented yet... What racers?
CM4Sci Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I really wonder what Oky is thinking about these new racers... He hasn't commented yet... Hm, I see what you're getting at... Though I'm not sure what to think of it... On one hand it would be kinda cool, but somehow I can't imagine Lego making sets like that... Plus I'd feel kinda ripped off. First that Chinese knockoff company and now Lego themselves. WTF.
Ashnflash Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) This wasn't a recent quote though right? Cause I mean his Racers had legs so... Edited August 14, 2015 by Ashnflash

Legocity2713 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Actually Lego sets take between 1 Year and 1 and a Half Years to plan, create and release. Really? I feel like I heard somewhere that there is a larger gap? I stand corrected then, but still feel like its pure serendipity.
Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Really? I feel like I heard somewhere that there is a larger gap? I stand corrected then, but still feel like its pure serendipity. I said the same thing earlier! I remembered someone from Lego saying it took three to four years when confronted with the question if Lego was taking from Ideas without making them into sets, e.g. The SHIELD Helicarrier or Creator Changing Seasons.
Douglas_Jon Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I said the same thing earlier! I remembered someone from Lego saying it took three to four years when confronted with the question if Lego was taking from Ideas without making them into sets, e.g. The SHIELD Helicarrier or Creator Changing Seasons. It was on the Lego Documentary that aired on Channel 4 in the UK last month. One of the managers said that all the sets are planned out a year to a year and a half in advance.
Krikkit Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 They also said in the same documentary that their meetings are 3 years in advance oftheir products, this was when they were discussing the hot dog guy. But back on subject. A 66 Batcave is really interesting. With that recent Batmobile from the Comic con, I am very much glad that this will be coming our way. I have a feeling that there will be quite a few stickers though. Very good chance to increase the bad guy range with some classics also. I would expect it to come with the following vehicles: the Batmobile, Batgirl's Batcycle and Robin's helicopter, a la the Batman3 game. But we shall see as it comes.

Douglas_Jon Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 How is that the 2016 Catalogue is already out, the Bionicle prelims have been discovered from them, but we haven't seen anything from the DC or Marvel side?
