Legocity2713 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 That's cool. I'm a little skeptical about them being 1:1 translations though. Me too. I'm sure they are very loose iterations, but exciting none the less.
psqidexslizer248 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Wasn't it suggested that it might be Deadshot? Whether it's Deadshot or Firefly or some third option, I'm excited to see that set! At the very least we're getting someone new it seems.
Bricky Dee Williams Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 At the very least we're getting someone new it seems. And that's all that matters
Falconfan1414 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Dang I really wanted firefly, but on the picture front I kinda wished that bat suit would be a little more bulky like the one in the movie
psqidexslizer248 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) Dang I really wanted firefly, but on the picture front I kinda wished that bat suit would be a little more bulky like the one in the movie Deadshot isn't exactly confirmed yet either. It could still go either way. But the picture is just artwork, and not necessarily of the official figures. Anyone remember this picture by Lego Magazine artist released last year? How many of those figures look exactly like the ones we got this Spring? http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2014/09/LEGO-justice-league-dc-super-heroes-20151.jpg Edited September 4, 2015 by psqidexslizer248

The artist of the artwork you showed said that he used artistic liberties when it came to what characters he used.
Legocity2713 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) Some dude took the official Harley Quinn from Jokerland and the hair from the CMF 14 Zombie Cheerleader and painted it blonde with red and black streaks. Here it is, just to give you us better idea of what Harley will look like next year. https://instagram.com/p/7NAOIUhQmL/ https://instagram.co...en-by=adria1203 The first link is the owner's final version of the character. The second link is a work in progress much simpler Harley, but I think it looks better, less busy. Edited September 4, 2015 by Legocity2713
8BrickMario Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 The middle one is what I hope we get next year. It's more unique.
Robianco Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 To be honest from the source material it should just be half red and half black rather than just tips and highlights. Once I get hold of one that's exactly what I'll be doing. Whether the version released next year will have highlights I think also depends on the version of her they put out. Do we thing it'll just be the same torso and legs as Jokerland?

Do we thing it'll just be the same torso and legs as Jokerland? That's what the prelims show, but it might be a placeholder. Red/blue would make sense as a loose tie-in to the Squad movie, but red/black would save them some money on new prints and allow them to get away with calling it "NEW!"
Numbuh1Nerd Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 The Blue/Red Harley looks so much better, which is hard for me to say because I hate that design for Harley so much. The Black/Red Harley doesn't look awful, but it's a little disappointing (especially with the no pants thing)
strangely Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 To be honest from the source material it should just be half red and half black rather than just tips and highlights. That all depends on the source material. Sometimes her hair is red and black, other times red and blue, sometimes completely dyed, sometimes just streaks. And sometimes her hair is just blonde. Really it could go any way at this point. I'm guessing we'll get red and blue to loosely tie in with the movie and I'm betting we'll get only the tips of the hair in that color (If only because that would be slightly cheaper for them to do). I'm hoping a little bit that this is an Arkham Knight inspired version. I don't really like her New 52 look, nor her movie look.
Legocity2713 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 What if they just change the little hair bands that the Cheerleader had from dark green to red and black and make the rest a blonde color? Unlikely, but still possible.
8BrickMario Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I would hate that. I don't care which colorscheme they choose, but I'd infinitely prefer fully-colored hair, rather than blonde with highlights or whatever.
strangely Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 What if they just change the little hair bands that the Cheerleader had from dark green to red and black and make the rest a blonde color? That's very possible. Less printing would probably be cheaper and easier for them to produce. I wouldn't be surprised if they did this. I wouldn't be bothered by it either. I'd almost prefer that we get this piece in a yellow blonde with only printing on the bands, at least it would be more usable on other figures. And really if I was dying (No pun intended really) for red and black streaks a marker could accomplish that easily.
8BrickMario Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 That's very possible. Less printing would probably be cheaper and easier for them to produce. I wouldn't be surprised if they did this. That's why I don't want that. They've already made a cheap Harley for Jokerland, so I think it would be better if this one spared nothing. It all depends on source material, though. Arkham games/Squad movie- blonde w/highlights Squad comics- red/blue Harley series- red/black, Jokerland body I'd say the second option is more likely due to tying in with the movie, but it could also be the third.
Captain Nemo Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Assuming they're going with that hair piece, I'd want them to color it in the Elves fashion, blending in pink and blue to the ends--it seems like the most likely scenario. Well, anything to get a Margot Robbie Harley!

Well, anything to get a Margot Robbie Harley! Lol, right? With the sophistication of the Elves printing, I indeed see that being possible. I kinda just want streaks in the ponytails though, but so long as some blonde is showing though I'm fine. Edited September 4, 2015 by Legocity2713
ultron32 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) I was hoping this would be the figure we get: Edited September 4, 2015 by ultron32
Ashnflash Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Please put that in a spoiler tag or something... Love that Harley though!
ultron32 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Sorry, the pic was smaller where I copied it from....
strangely Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I was hoping this would be the figure we get: We'll probably get some version of that. They'll probably make it a bit more like the movie version though just to loosely tie in. I definitely prefer this version over the Jokerland one.

I definitely prefer this version over the Jokerland one. Funny thing, I liked the Jokerland Harley a lot when I first saw it, but after taking a closer look, she is kinda plain. Her legs are top notch, but she could use a better torso. I'd like a red and black version the most though.
8BrickMario Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Whoopee. Now. no matter what LEGO does with the pigtails Harley, someone will be unhappy. I just want her to be an accurate representation of either of her New 52 looks, while I'm seeing many other hopes for blonde-haired or outright movie versions. I just hope it's not a clumsy hybrid. I would guess that it will not be based even remotely on the movie version, as it would seem very out of place in a comic-based set and they might not be allowed to do so, but the problem is that when she's not hatted, she's got pigtails, which still leaves us with too many possibilities. I wish we could look at the prelims to see if there are any other clues about the sets and the figs. It seems odd to not have any new prints in the Racers, but there may turn out to be...
