Brainbox Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I volunteer in a primary school on Tuesday afternoons, so I was there this afternoon. We did some artwork, then did PE. It's the sports days this week, so the school has adopted 'Olympics week' this week. Each class has a different Olympic country, and ours has got Brazil. That means that all the lessons are somehow themed around Brazil. With that in mind, we were drawing rainforests in art, and doing carnival dancing in PE. This morning was less exciting, as I spent most of it in bed. Quote
Wilhelm screamer Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Got my yearbook today, and there was a chaotic scramble amongst everyone to get as many signatures as possible. Quote
Brainbox Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Got my yearbook today, and there was a chaotic scramble amongst everyone to get as many signatures as possible. Ah yes, I remember that. But we all cheated by getting people to sign a separate book as and when we saw them. Quote
Wilhelm screamer Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Finally. School is OUT. And I now present you with, Burning of the school Mine eyes have seen the glory of the burning of the school We have tortured all the teachers - we have broken every rule We barbequed the principal and destroyed the PTA as the kids go marching on. Bum, dun, dun duuun. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! The kids go marching on. Quote
JimBee Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Made and ate myself a delicous lunch: who wants some? you guys better be happy, i burned my poor finger making that sandwich! Quote
MacK Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Today was the last day of school before summer starts (meaning more Lego and Eurobricks time ), after going to an assembly in the morning; my class had a small party in which we basically ate a ton of food listened to music, and talked to each other, before someone went out and bought some glow-sticks and we had lightsaber duals . At the end of the day we got our report cards, in which I found out I got a 93% average over the last term. So next year I will be in grade 10 at highschool. Plus as a reward for good marks I will be getting a DS and Lego indiana Jones today . Basically it has been a good day for me . Quote
Vaders_son Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Had my first full-work-day today! Nine hours of forklift-driving Not the most exiting [and not that easy in the beginning] thing to do, but well - I need $$$ for the Death Star and the CW sets Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Well, I had a major LEGO blowout today... OK, so I decided, on a whim, to leave work early today and drive to Bluewater which is a MASSIVE shopping centre near London…and where there is a LEGO store! I get 10% off all purchases because I am a member of the Brickish Association…and so with credit card in hand, here is my story! Dr. S. Quote
Vaders_son Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 LOL now my 90€ purchase of some small Battlepacks and an Imperial Landing Craft seems like nothing to me That's some nice idea of spending time instead of working Quote
lego.ryan Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Today was my 15th birthday! I got my big present a few weeks ago, though. I got the Troll Warship and Tower Siege sets as my present from my parents. Today, we went to O'Charley's for lunch with my whole family, and then my dad and I went to see Get Smart (I loved it! ). Then my family came over later for presents and stuff, and then my mom took me to Taco Bell and Target. I bought the first three Indiana Jones movies, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on DVD, all for $10 apiece. And I bought an America's Next Top Model Barbie that was on clearance as a joke gift for my best friend. I was pretty thrilled. And then tomorrow my two best friends and I are going out to eat and then coming to my house to play Wii for my birthday. Quote
Vaders_son Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 And I bought an America's Next Top Model Barbie that was on clearance as a joke gift for my best friend. I was pretty thrilled. Lol hope she looks good at least Happy belated Birthday!! Quote
Darth_Legois Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 OWWWW!!!!!! my back hurts from moving furniture all day! my Bro in-law and sister and me nephew are moving in to our house which means ALOT less LEGO time for me Quote
Shoc Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Not what I did today, but yesterday... I performed a miracle! I went to Legoland Windsor with my girlfriend, her 4th time, my 21st time, and I didn't buy any Lego at all! I usually buy at least one set there, but no, I bought nothing... Partly because it was very busy. But, less Lego shopping meant more attraction-going, we went to: Space Tower twice Wave Surfer 3 times, we got very wet Viking River Splash once, we were absolutely soaked Longboat Invader once, funny little ride Boating School twice, the second time we were trying to get squirted by the elephant and ended up turning around about 3 times Explorer's Institute once, where the mummy no longer has arms Balloon School once Fairytale Brook once, in which we laughed a lot at the weird noises made by the Lego models The spinny Dino ride (forgot the name) once, in which we got very squished in the seats Spellbreaker 4D once, a great Lego movie Probably the most eventful time I've ever had at Legoland, doing 14 things, but no Lego buying. :skull: Quote
RupeeClock Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 What i have done today is celebrating my birthday, unwrapping gifts - mostly Legos - and putting them together. What i am going to do for the rest of this day is: doing a cycling route, eating cake, being visited by family, eat more cake, playing with my new Legos, and going to bed. The Lego sets i got are: 4996 - Creator - Beach house 7731 - City, Cargo - Postal Van 5610 u/t 5613 - City impulse sets I am very thankfully for my family for the gifts .. and the rest of my day will be awesome. Vaders_son Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Watched it too, not the best game and the Spanish won because they were the better team. My legs ache because I had to stand on my toes most of the time to see anything on the public viewing place And I have to get up in 2 hours to go to work Benny Quote
