Brainbox Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 (edited) Just got back from my last afternoon of volunteering in school this term. The kids finish tomorrow, but I'm not going in, so I took some chocolates in for the class. Took ages to give out. Then the kids gave me a 'thank you' card they'd made and signed. Then when I got home, I was copying some music to my Windows Media library, when I realised what I was doing- prancing round the room to ABBA. Edited July 22, 2008 by Brainbox Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) Then the kids gave me a 'thank you' card they'd made and signed. How sweet! Then when I got home, I was copying some music to my Windows Media library, when I realised what I was doing- prancing round the room to ABBA. I love ABBA, I am (according to my friends) lame as I like the 80's music! As for me I am going on holiday tomorrow to Spain so I am early awaiting that. Edited July 23, 2008 by Lord Of Pies Quote
Brainbox Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 How sweet! It's even found its way onto my noticeboard, a place normally reserved for phone numbers, reminders and important letters. In fact, there's a date written up there and I can't seem to remember what it's for... As for me I am going on holiday tomorrow to Spain so I am early awaiting that. I bet the weather's nicer there than it is here! Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 The weather has been hot here in Surrey actually over the last few days, though it is always hot in Spain. Quote

It was okay yesterday, and it's quite warm at the moment, but it's been dull until now. In fact, the sun came out as I was writing this. Eee, 'tis grim up narth. In fact, the sun came out as I was writing this.Eee, 'tis grim up narth. I never understand how so many people like hot weather. It's really hot down here in Hampshire (something like 30 degrees celcius!) and I hate it! Not as bad as in Switzerland one day last year when I went to Luzern and it was about 35 degrees, that was the worst and most unbearable weather I've ever been in! I'm just thankful that I've broken up for the summer holidays today. Staying at home is certainly cooler (with the help of a fan) than sitting in a stuffy classroom. :skull: Quote

I'm not a particular fan of 'boiling hot' either, but it might be nice if it was at least 'warm and sunny' sometimes. At least I assume it would be nice. At least I assume it would be nice. I wouldn't know, I've nothing to compare it to... It's been fairly rainy recently so it's quite a change. The rain was very heavy and I don't like that, I like a little rain, a little warm, and a little cold. Everything in moderation. I don't like the sun as a weather factor though... Too bright. Saying what I did today would be... Complaining about the heat all the time. :skull: Quote
SkyOtic Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 wow, i really done nothing today, exept for: going to every shop in the neigbourhood to search after new SW CW sets, witch they never heard of :S Going to the beach left to early and visited my games store bought mario kart wii and an extra wii wheel writhing this :P Quote

maiq the liar Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 (edited) Well, today i learned that one should NEVER, EVER, EVER Make coffee with a filterfull of their strongest ground coffee beans. it makes drinking 2 pan galactic gargle-blasters look easy, and you feel half-dead for about 30 minutes after the caffeine (which usually doesn't affect me) wears off. i swear it could give Zeus or Hercules a run for their money. i mean, i like strong coffee and all, but that was just plain ridiculous. i am NEVER doing that again. ...I still feel like i'm half-dead... ...Oh well, off to soak my head. Wow, soaking my head helped a ton! Edited July 30, 2008 by maiq the liar Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Finally came back from Spain although my flight was delayed 3 hours! (So I finally reached my house at 2 am ). Stupid Monarch Airlines! And I spilt pepsi on my lap! But the holiday was fun aside from the hectic travel arrangements.... Quote
