Dark Sword Ragnarok Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I stayed after school and talked to Abbie for about an hour. I told my mom I had Honor Gaurd practice, but oh well For some reason I couldn't bring my self to sking her out. Oh well again, I might tomorrow, hopefully we have a laid back, do-nothing day in ROTC again. Well, today sucked. A lot. At lunch, one of my friends decided it would be funny to ask out my friend's ex for me, who I have no interest in. She said no, and apparantly feels sorry for me and thinks I look like a girl because of my hair. Also, a girl I used to like a little bit, Jodie, apparantly thinks I like her still. I wasn't around for any of this, and am extremely confused. Ashley was gone (but I said that already, didn't I?) and that made me sad. Then I went to a friend's house and played Halo 3, which, by the way, I suck at on Live. While playing, he mentioned that Ashley told him that she still liked him? I don't know if it's true or not (I read his texts while he wasn't looking) and he kinda pissed me off. Then he started saying that she was only hanging out with me to piss him off. Which, thinking back, could be partially true, except we started hanging out in Santa Cruz before he dumped her. I am a very sad, confused guy right now. God, my life is full of crap sometimes. Well, wish me luck for tomorrow, I suppose. DSR Quote
Justin2224 Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 That is confusing. Well hope tomorow goes better. We do have too much in common. Your life sucks at times, so does mine,a nd for the same reasons too. And like I said good luck with tomorow, and wish me luck with getting over my fear of rejection. Quote

Brainbox Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I play Eb Tuba. The trumpet and flute players have no idea just how easy they have it. And who always parks closest to the venue we're playing at? Yes, the ***ing trumpet and flute players! And we get all the stupid key signatures as well. I play the Eb horn, and I think I've only ever played one piece of group music with a half-decent key signature. Normally it's in the region of a million flats, or a thousand sharps... It's funny... I arrived at this thread expecting friendly chit-chat about the trivialities of day-to-day life (yes, I really do talk like that), and what do I get instead? Two guys pouring their hearts out to each other. Not that I can talk, as I'm about to join in. I'm currently wishing fervently that Friday would hurry up. Why? Becasue I've got another panto rehersal. Aside from really enjoying them this time around, my current love interest will be there, and I've promised myself I'll ask her out. Watch now, I'll bottle it... Love. Who'd bother with it? Quote

Watch now, I'll bottle it... Love. Who'd bother with it? Well, yeah, I suppose we just needed a place to vent. Well, today I couldn't log on from Engineering because we started a stupid project. But on the plus side, Ashley was here today, so that was good. I'll see her tonight at band rehersal. But it's wierd, she talked about my friend alot. Hopefully that's only temporary. I don't think I'll ask her out anytime soon, unless I get some for-sure signs that she would be interested. I just wish my friends would stop giving me crap about not wanting to... In other news, we worked on our drill for Street Percussion song. It's flipin' weird. I've never done one before, but I suppose it will look good when we figure it out. Our song is going good, it need some cleaning up, but we've got it almost all the way memorized. Looking good so far! Wish me luck with Ashley , and our drumline with the competition on Saturday. Dark Sword Ragnarok Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Today I went to school as usual. When I got there on of my friends told me not to ask Abbie out, but never gave me a reason. So I was really confused. Yesterday my other friend told me to ask her out because she liked me, so I am really really confused. I have to get some things striat tomorow. Huh. That is pretty wierd. Get your facts straight before making any moves, trust me, or you'll regret it later. People say things. Yesterday, had band rehersal. Fun. Marching for an hour and a half, with little mini-breaks in between. Talked to Ashley a bit, mostly when we were just running our march song. I was sitting down in the back (even though we were outside, I just sat down on the Cheerleading blocks on the track with the rest of the drumline, still wearing my harness.) My friend Angel made a comment about Ashley looking like someone we knew from our old school, but "not as fat." Wrong choice of words. She took it completely different than what he meant, just as I expected as he said it. Then I told him that the way he said it was rude and a little offensive, and to choose better words the next time he says something on that kind of touchy topic. Then Ashley said "Wait, why are you offended by that?" and of course, Angel said "Why do you think he would be?" "She thought about it for a seccond, then said "Oh, that's mean, Angel!" I (of course ) missed that. Apparantly, he was referring to both the fact that I'm a little overweight and the fact that I like her enough to be offended by people bagging on her. I don't know which meaning she caught, and I don't want to know, really. Then, when we were done marching, our drum major, BJ, had us all get in a big circle. Ashley made me stand by her. I was on her left side. Just my luck, BJ tells us all to face the person on our right and massage their backs. In my head, all I could think was "Oh, you have GOT to be sh*ting me!" (Excuse my language there) Wow, was that awkward. It's like the world is out to just embarrass me. But, she thanked me afterward, and said I'm good at it, so I suppose that wasn't a loss. Then, after practice, I had to give my friend Taylor (the one who went out with Ashley) a ride home (we alternate every week, saves gas). I was with him, and he wanted to go get something to drink. Ashley wanted me to stay with her until her and Joey got picked up. I chose Ashley. Taylor was not happy. Of course, a few minutes later, Ashley got picked up. She said bye, gave me a hug, and as she was walking away, did one of those heart shapes with her hands. I told her I had no idea how to do it, and she thought it was pretty funny. I just said love you back. Today I had Drumline practice. I only had a half hour to get food and make it back to school for it. We got out at noon, and practice was at 12:30. Got to Mcdonalds with some friends around ten after, then took FOREVER to get my order. made it back around fifteen till one, but I was with six others from drumline, so it wasn't a big deal. Practice ran late, and I had to leave at 2 for an eye appointment. I walked back to the band room with my Bass, and the freaking door was locked! I ran back to the field to get someone to open it, got my stuff, and left. I was late to my appointment, but meh. Talked a little to Ashley. She was with us out on the field because her brother Joey is in drumline with us and she didn't have a ride otherwise. When I was trying to hurry out to the band room, this is the short dialouge that passed between us. (easier to type this way) "Where are you going so early?" "Gotta go to an eye appointment. It's at two thirty, can't ba late." "Oh, okay. Talk to you later then." "Kay." "Love you!" "I'd do that little heart thing, but I can't with one hand." "Okay, just say it then." "Kay, love ya too." Progress? A hope? Maybe? Meh, I don't know. The friend that originally went out with her says that she told him that she isn't over him but only says it when he's alone, not in front of me, or any of either of our friends. Strange? Yes. Proof? I don't know if there is any. I'll get to the bottom of it soon, though. I can't believe I wrote that much! Hope it's not too confusing... Well, enjoy the latest update of my life! DSR Quote
Justin2224 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Nice little romance story you got there. I hope that my tomorow will be a bit like that, but without me having to go to Drumline practice of course. I was done with that in Junior High. But it does look like you are makin some progress. Scouty Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Well, the Phillies have won the World Series in baseball! Hooray! Philadelphia is loud with thousands of voices screaming with glee! Interestingly enough, this is the third time this has happened to me (a pro team winning a tournament). First, the Rockets (A basketball team), when I lived in Houston, then the Steelers winning the Superbowl when I lived in Pittsburgh, and now the Phillies win the World Series. Huzzah. Even though I'm not a huge fan of any of these teams (If I had to pick one, though, it'd be the Phillies). Quote

I don't watch baseball, but I've heard good things about the team from my cousin, who DOES enjoy baseball. What year did the Steelers win the Superbowl? I also don't watch football much at all, but I'd like to know nonetheless. On topic, got my eye exam today. Got set u[ with some new glasses, and they'll be in by tuesday, just in time for our seccond band review in a row. This should be fun, 3 saturdays in a row, I have to be at school early, ready to march. It wouldn't be so bad if we had a weekend in between each, but that's just not going to happen, I guess. I never seem to catch a break anymore. Hopefully, I'll spend some time with Ashley the next few weekends. DSR Quote

VBBN Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Well, today was costume day at school, for halloween. The dance was today. Anywho, I was a little hoodlum. I got to wear my sunglasses though, so that was cool. Quote
Freddie Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I bought my first car today! A 1996 Mazda 626, which set me back 23'000 NOK, but I reckon it was a bargain, because the seller told me had gotten a lot of phone calls for it. :D Has a few nicks and scratches, and a few problems that need correcting (none of which are horribly expensive), but otherwise in excellent condition! (And no, it's not my first car, but it's kinda different when you buy it versus inheriting one as a present) Quote

Well, tonight's football game got rained on, so us band guys had to pack up and leave. Got the trailer packed up for the competition tomorrow. Made a bit of progress with Ashley tonight. She kissed by hand because I jacked up my wrist somehow. I told her it was my wrist that was hurt, and she replied with " It's BETTER now, okay!" "....uh, yeah, okay, it's better....(slinks away slowly...)" I'll try and sit with her on the way up to the comp. tomorrow. My friend Angel is trying to force me to ask her out. I'm thinking about telling her all the crap I'm getting for hanging out with her and not asking her out, just to see how she reacts. But if I do that, I'm running the risk of an extremely awkward situation, like this for example... "My friends keep giving me crap because I don't want to ask you out." "What, do you not like me or something?" Or.. "Why, do you want to go out with me?" Awkward both ways, and they both run a risk of losing her as a friend. Any suggestions, anyone? Anyway, I want to just let this whole thing take it's path before I make a stupid choice, and my friends keep interfering. It's starting to piss me off a bit... DSR Quote

Just ask her out. The worst that can happen is she says no, the best is obvious. That was the original issue, her saying no. Anyway, I texted her with my friends phone for around six hours last night after our competition. I found out alot about her actually. I also found out she still loves my friend (the original one, it was his phone). But, she said that she just wants to see what happenss between them, but if things fall through, she would definately give me a chance. That concept is a little new to me. I'm still proccessing it, really. She is really great, my friend has no idea what he's giving up for another girl. Her morals are amazing. She hates how most girls won't even give someone a chance based on first glance, instead of them as a person. It felt really good to be recognized as a person, you know? Like I do have feelings. Now all I have to do is wait for him to cut her off, and I'll be there to cry on... Things are looking up for me, fellas! Also we got a trophy at the competition for 6th place. Just thought I'd mention. DSR Quote

Just thought I'd mention. DSR Hate to double-post, but I wanted to update, and I was afraid no one would see it. I may have just gotten completely screwed. I think I may be in a jacked up love, uh, shape thing. Not exactly a triangle, because I like Ashley, Ashley likes my friend, and my friend likes some other chick. He (I think) may have changed his mind about Ashley. Not directly, really, but still. Somehow, when he was texting her, she brought up "what would you do if I kissed you?" Which, I think he said "kiss you back", because the text he showed me said "that makes me want to kiss you." The last one is the only that I saw, but he said that's what went down. He could have lied, but I don't see why. I'm not really sure what's going on anymore. He makes fun of me for being a wuss and not asking her out, which I can't do now because I promised her I'd wait until she and him were over, then rubs it in my face that she likes him more than me. Tell me, what the hell kind of sense does that make! His logic defies me... Then, of course, at band rehersal, two of my different friends literally dragged me outside and pushed me up against a fence, telling me I was GOING to ask her out or they were going to beat the hell out of me. I don't know why it's so freakin' important to them. Now they are really, honestly pissing me off. I had to get her away from them and tell her blatantly, "do NOT listen to either of them, all they're trying to do is force me to ask you out. Whatever they say, disregard it." I am really confused as to what the hell is going on in my life right now. I don't like not knowing what's going on. I need some form of closure, whether or not it's what I want to hear. Blegh, my life can really suck sometimes. Kind of reminds me of a match of Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4. As soon as I get back on track, as soon as something starts going my way, something/someone flys in and blows it all to hell. My luck is just utter crapola. On topic (kind of) I got my harness fixed for marching. It was too long and the swing bars that connect to the support bar on my quads were too far out. Went to the gym during Spanish for Day of the Dead, even though it's two days too late. It's supposed to be on the 1st and 2nd, but those days were Saturday and Sunday. There were a bunch of altars for famus people. We took notes on them. It was kinda interesting, better than being in the classroom. Wish me luck that SOMETHING will go good for me this week. furious Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) dude be a man and stand up for yourself. I don't know the whole story but walk (re: strut) up to this Ashley Grab her by the arm swing her around and plant a big kiss on her lips. Just like in the movies. You need to make your intentions clear. Words will not do that. Action is what is needed. I know you are scared of the outcome but honestly what is the worst thing that could happen? You find out the way she really feels? Good luck. You are talking to a boy who spent a whole year in your situation only to find out when it was to late how she really felt. IT sucked. Brickmaster Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 You only live once. Take some risks. As for me, I've been comfortably dating a Gal for the past 2 months. I'm not very active here on EB due to real life activeness. Heh. So rather than daily breakdowns, I can just say that's the most noted change lately. I spend every day with her anyway, so most of my entries would look the same. Quote
