Siegfried Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 :-D Dorkus!! I also played Friedrich when I was 12 and my voice had just changed but I still had a falsetto so I could hit the high 'G' in So long, Farewell...but had to drop an octave for everything else. That was my first professional show! I got to leave school for it two days a week! X-D Friedrich is the older boy by the way, Kurt is the youngest. If you auditioned for Rolf, I'm sure they cast you as Friedrich... :-P Ohh. :-$ I thought I remembered it wrong , but it was about 15 years ago so I don't feel too bad. :-D You probably have a better voice than me then... :'-( Quote

Here, I made you some clam cream! Have you seen the clip of me singing in company? Quote
Siegfried Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Here, I made you some clam cream! Thanks! *wub* Mmmmm creamy clam. 8-| Have you seen the clip of me singing in company? Now I have! Cool! *sweet* You probably do have a better voice than me. Is that Jocko on stage or am I just plain wrong? Quote
Hinckley Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Thanks! *wub* Mmmmm creamy clam. 8-| Now I have! Cool! *sweet* You probably do have a better voice than me. Is that Jocko on stage or am I just plain wrong? That's him! *wub* He can tap dance too! Wouldn't think it to look at him, huh? That was a concert for Sondheim two Summers ago. It was part of a Sondheim Celebration in Grant Park. We got to perform for Sondheim. :-) The guy who introduced us directed it and gave Jocko his first chance to perform in years! Jocko is a great singer but doesn't like to act. He also likes to make money so he stopped performing in college. Although throughout his career, he did some voiceovers, commercials and sang with The Singing Hoosiers in some recordings! Quote
Siegfried Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 That's him! *wub* He can tap dance too! My wife loves tap dancing. One of her favorite movies is Singing in the Rain. (I personally think the Make 'Em Laugh scene is incredible.) Jocko is a great singer but doesn't like to act. He also likes to make money so he stopped performing in college. Although throughout his career, he did some voiceovers, commercials and sang with The Singing Hoosiers in some recordings! I'm the reverse; I'd rather act than sing. The theatre seems to have died in Hobart while I was gone. I need to move... Quote
Corvus Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Well, I have been really busy with my latest show, so Jocko and I took some time out today to build a rocket with a bicycle pump, a cork and a two-liter bottle... Uh-oh! Who's that tied to the rocket? It's Ras! (in prisoner garb. I wouldn't shoot a rocket with a SW torso on it *wacko* ) Get ready for take-off Ras! lift-off! Hinckley soaked! :-D :-D Ras almost in orbit!! He's okay folks! Just a little scared...looks like he wet his pants... :-D All the while, Riley enjoyed a nice pine branch... :-D So that's the kind of thing you get up to when not on EB. Have you seen the clip of me singing in company? It won't work... Quote
Piranha Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 lift-off! Hinckley soaked! :-D :-D :-D I have done that before but I actually made a rocket and flew for about 5 seconds before hitting the ground Except mine was a blow-off valve and had a parachute system How much PSI in yours? I used 40PSI Yup thats pretty fun, almost as fun as Coke and mentos :-D Bottle Rockets ON!! Piranha Quote

I am actually only familiar with musicals I have been in. I do not seek them out for enjoyment. I find them a little annoying. I am not familiar with Singin' in the Rain? But thanks for assuming I was >:-( What are you trying to say? >:-( :-P I'd actually rather act than sing as well, but since I sing I have done mostly musicals, but I always get fun character roles, so I'm happy :-) As far as what I did today, they let me go on for the final dress for the show and I had a blast with the 2nd act when I am the angry german waiter, but I am just a dancer in the first act and I wasn't too happy with my performance... :-/ oh well, at least my feature will be good! Siegfried Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Apparently just not for you :-/ Actually it didn't work for me either, but I did the old "view source" trick and found out what it was supposed to do... :-P Boring direct link here for the less technical EBers! X-D I am actually only familiar with musicals I have been in. I do not seek them out for enjoyment. I find them a little annoying. I am not familiar with Singin' in the Rain? Aredhel Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I just went to work this morning again... Like every morning getting up at about 5.30am and getting home between 18pm and 19.30pm... Not much time to do anything else, only reading or watching a DVD or sitting at the PC -Aredhel Quote
yellost Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Well, there's always building LEGO while watching the DVD ;-) I can't help doing it... Everytime I'm watching something, after a while I need to put it on pause go get some bricks to fidget with while watching the rest of the film :-D Quote
CopMike Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 Today I could lay my hands on my LEGO after yet another week away on training *sweet*! Got me some RC Quote
Stauder Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I finished answering the questions for the interview, passed them trough my editor, and He"ll publish it shortly! :'-) Quote
Shadows Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I just finished editing all of Staudie's answers into the most embarassing things he never said and will publish them shortly. Nah, I'm not even fixing his spelling (too much). He's embarassing enough without help :-P Quote

natelite Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 finished building the cafe corner with my kid over the weekend. set was awesome visually. the design and build was unique and innovative (the corner was superbly done - using turntables to create - who knew?). unfortunately the bricks were definitely of poorer quality. colors have different shades even for the same group (the dark blue, tan, dark red were in noticably different shades for almost every brick). the bricks did not line up right. the visually unappealing side (ie the back) where it should have just been a flat wall, it was twisting all over, like a badly constructed apartment. gaps were everywhere. urgh. definitely a result of bad production run. never noticed any visible gaps in the past. well, just waiting for the UCS MF now! hopefully will get it this week so i can spend another weekend building. ;-) Quote
Tamaku-Dark Toa Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 today i got another clone bp and am still working on my beloved Legacy TIE Next Generation of star wars on! Quote
yellost Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Aaaaaah, Started school again, today... I love school, meeting lots of people, seeing lots of other, being occupied all day doing what we love doing (well yes, its college, so it's what I chose to study, not what I have to study)... The only downside is that I have student lodgements during the week and all my Lego are back home, so I can't build untill the week ends :'-( ... Quote
Scouty Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 At my apartment, the Skulchil(or however you spell it) river is right next to me. It's great since there is a track there, and I can go down there. I was going to take my camera and go down there, fat chance. I had a neat expierence. A train was moving unusually slow, so I got to see that. I waited, because it completely stopped. Here I am, waiting to cross (I won't simply go in front of it, that's just stupid) and this train is blocking my way. I find a broken branch, I try to rip it off, no luck. The train is still there...wait it's moving! NO. It's moving...then stopped. I walked along it a little bit, and though, if I had my picture camera here, it would make a great picture...too bad I didn't have it. With the urge to go to the bathroom (X-D) I headed back up, but as I was doing so, the train was going backwards. That was a neat expierence as I haven't seen a train this close while it was moving...and stopping...and going into reverse. :-D . Enjoy your days! Quote
