Anio Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 It looks awesome! When the official set comes out, you should integrate the new nose into your moc! This appears to be a good and reasonnable suggestion to me. It is not even necessary to buy the model (well, the windscreen maybe...), but just to look how it is built (or how 9493 is built, as it is basically identical). Quote
CDFCustoms Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 (edited) Here are two pics of the new nose. Finally it's not bad, thanks to Smitty500 the only good guy in this "hive of (rebel)scum and villainy" So comments on the nose job are welcome <snip> <snip> This time I took a side view + closed wings. that looks sweetis it ok if I use the wing design on my custom x-wing Edited September 2, 2015 by BEAVeR Please don't quote images, as it makes the page unnecessary slower. BaronSat Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 You should find something else than this big wedge for the nose, like others said it's a bit misplaced... I can't believe blue and light/dark gray go that well together :) I also love the details around Artoo, really neat work overall Thanks. Blue and gray go well together and give that classic space feeling for us Lego fans. This appears to be a good and reasonnable suggestion to me. It is not even necessary to buy the model (well, the windscreen maybe...), but just to look how it is built (or how 9493 is built, as it is basically identical). Just to be sure, we are talking of the tip of the nose, right. Well on the 75102 official model, the parts used are exaclty the same so ??? Yes, that new windscreen seems cool and I wonder what it would look like on my model? that looks sweet is it ok if I use the wing design on my custom x-wing Thanks. Yes, you can, use them and upgrade them. Quote

I am not only talking about those wedges. I am talking about to entire nose, from the very front to the windscreen. I wonder what it would look like on my model? Hum... better ? Quote
Mr Man Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Hu? has that thing got flick fires on the wings . Pointless or what. Quote
Smitty500 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Here is some WIP of my take on the X-wing, just the the wings so far. I just have not seen anyone's wings I am really satisfied with. the S-foils should be flat with eachother when collapsed. or if someone accomplished this, the studs are not facing eachother, it looks better with the studs facing up. . YellowCorvette Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) Looks good, Smitty500. The wings are closed in a nice position but sadly, the wings are too thick. (Although my own version also has thick wings) Edited September 3, 2015 by ArmstrongYong Quote

Ok, I see but I don't want to rebuild the official version, plus I really like the new nose submitted by Smitty500 .But yes, my model still needs to be improved.
