CamelBoy68 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I've heard that the US are changing the current wall to one which is building a specific model - no more bulk cups Anyone in the US care to confirm this ? Quote
Legomaster34 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I was just at one this past Monday, and while they did have a small container for parts to build a specific model (a plane in this instance, if I'm remembering correctly), there were also bulk cups of both sizes, as well as parts on the wall that weren't used in the small plane model. Phoxtane Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 As above, there are still cups available to fill - but if they go away from Pick-A-Brick entirely, I'm going to be rather displeased... Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 All I've heard is they are adding the mini builds to the wall that they will change every so often. And the rest will still be loose pieces. I believe it is now called Pick and Build instead of Pick a Brick. Quote

They've added Pick A Model to the wall which takes over some of the bins. You can still do PAB but some stores may or may not limit PAM pieces in the PAB cups. We recently had a topic on it: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107741 Quote
legoman19892 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) You can still use the PaB wall as normal. Edited June 12, 2015 by legoman19892 Quote
Legocity2713 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Yeah theres both. I must ask, did any other Lego VIP member get a cardboard "ball" type model in the mail showing what models you could build from the pick a brick wall in the upcoming months? It showed an alligator, a panda, some trucks (one of my favorites is a mini green one with chairs making up the cargo bed. I've searched everywhere and could not for the life of me find any other person who had gotten this. Please speak up if you have. Quote

Really, though, I know it's off-topic, but that sounds interesting- can you post a pic of it? Quote

I could, but I don;t really know how. is there any way to post it without a flickr page? If so can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to post a pic? Edited June 13, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote
jluck Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) Get the image on Flickr, copy the image url, and put it inside of one of these --> [ img] url here [/img] Edited June 13, 2015 by jluck Quote
Legocity2713 Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Okay, expect it in the next couple of days. Thanks for the tips man. Quote
Prairie Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Even simpler, upload to imgur. No account needed, just upload and copy the stuff already prepared for posting. Quote

Ooohh, that sounds good, I'll try it. Thanks. EDIT: Alright here we go, the Imgur photos: *** sorry about the poor quality, I definitely need a new phone *** http://imgur.com/a/oKS38 and the other: http://imgur.com/jpT...EK3a61S,PoJ8MeT If you want to see more, just let me know. It is just a ball made of a thicker paper showing the pick a model models for the upcoming months. I'm pretty sure that they are not in order. Edited June 13, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote

You can copy and paste the BBCode links from Imgur to deeplink your pics into your message so that users don't have to hop to another website to see your pics. Select large thumbnail size. Don't use original if your pics are larger than Eurobricks Site Guidellines of typical 800x600. Edited June 13, 2015 by dr_spock Quote
deraven Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 That is a fascinating marketing piece. Huh. Does it serve any purpose when assembled (like, are those holes at the top meant for something)? Quote

Does it serve any purpose when assembled (like, are those holes at the top meant for something)? As far as I know, no. However, if you look through the holes you cans see a rubber band letting the "ball" flatten out and then go back to its intended ball shape. So nobody else got this? I got it a few months back and just got around to posting it, I thought someone else would in the meantime. Also, everyone, feel free to spread the word about this. Edited June 13, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote
cgarison Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 The green parts are going to be a welcome site for those that are in need of landscaping pieces. As for me, I can never have enough 2X2 plates, 1x2/2X2 slopes. The curved back will be nice for landscaping as well. Quote
