So I have decided what design I will tackle once i finish completing my Invisible Hand Cockpit/Bridge MOC. To perfectly fit one of the many minifigures of the MOC, I want to create a 1:1 scale General Grievous head. Now, I dont think this would be too, too difficult other than rounded sections, right now I'll be working in LDD for probably quite some months, but if anyone has some advice or ideas, this would be the place to leave it!

Grievous head that opens up and is a play set inside? I used to always see stuff like that when I was younger!

Could you please atleast share with us what you have already had done, Not something you have plans on doing. Sharing projects that have been started are a lot easier for us to give you feedback. That way we can understand your approach and give you proper input.

..Because the only advice I can provide is to make sure it looks like this...

There are plenty of sources to help you get a start, even the UCS Grievous Lego made a few years ago might help.

I look forward to what you have coming, as Grievous Is one of my favorite Villians!

Challenging project. Yet as Smitty said, it's quite strange to seek for general advices before you have even begun with some attempts. Remember that the head is quite big so if you plan to build it in real, you need reinforced neck and overal sturdy construction. Otherwise I think that building it in LDD won't be particularly great regarding all the tubing and curvatures. I'd probably start buidling some parts in real (regardless colors) and only use LDD if I suffer from lack of elements and/or for designing particular details.

Anyway I hope it's not just your idle talk and that you will execute this project through. Also I wonder whether we can se some pictures of your Invisible Hand bridge? I'd be quite curious.

Yes I was planning on just designing in LDD where the tubes would attach along with and odd curves and then physically making them in real life. As for the Invisible Hand bridge, I have my 32 minifigs for it (16 pilot droids, 4 security droids, 2 commander droids, 2 magna guards, R2D2, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, Chancellor Palpatine, a Neimodian, and 2 Neimodian pilots). The current phase of construction that I am in is making a large technic structure to support and form correct angles with railings that I have made, and I was planning on showing pictures when it is completed

And I found a 360 degree viewer from sideshow collectables which will help tremendously for all aspects of the head

The who with the what now ..?

This is quite a letdown after THAT headline ...

Edit: But since you were asking for ideas/suggestions, which is a somewhat legitimate request, I would suggest that you

a) finish your current project first,

b) show what you have done so far, so we can link something to your name, aaaand

c) don't post about your plans on building something someday. Really, what's the point?

I'm very excited to see this project once it's underway! Until then I'm going to lock this topic. When you are ready to post some pictures, shoot myself or another Regulator a message and we'll open it back up for you.
