Posted June 13, 20159 yr Can someone please help with a BrickLink issue. I have a piece on my wanted list which I want to buy 4 of. But when I go into a store, I sometimes see many of the same parts offered for sale, such as in the picture beneath. https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing This is annoying since if I now click “Auto Fill Cart Min” I get 4 of each of these items; when I only want 4 in total. I now have to go through the whole list removing all the ones I don’t want, which takes ages. Is there a way to hide all these multiple copies of the same item? I don’t really understand what difference the store perceives in them, they’re all “new”; what’s the A-1 A-10 A-3 business all about? Also when I browse my wanted list “By Shop” I see the column “Lots (Unique)” like in the below picture. I get this is telling me how many of my wanted list items the store sells; but I don’t get what the Lots are what the Unique Lots are. https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing Can anyone help? Thanks! /ben

Thanks! /ben I'm not aware of any way to 'hide' several lots of the same piece. The unique lots feature is there to help you detect exactly what you encountered. Every lot in the shop that matches your wanted list is counted into the total. The (Unique) part tells you how many different parts from your wanted list the shop has. So a shop may have 10 lots for pieces on your wanted list, but if it says "2 unique", then it has any combination between 1 of one and 9 of the other and 9 of one and one of the other. As to why some shops have several lots of the same piece: I guess it depends on how they manage their shop, may be depending on the software they use or also how they store parts. Also I think, whenever someone automatically parts out a set in their bricklink store, a new lot for every piece is created, even if the seller already has teh piece in his inventory
June 13, 20159 yr I heard the reason for the multiples of a particular part in a shop is the way they uploaded their inventory. They 'parted out' a set, and each time they did that, they created a new item. So if several sets used the same parts, each one would become a separate item on their shop. Its laziness I think, they don't want to take the time to combine all the parts into a single total... You don't have to use the autofill option, just go down your list of items and manually add the number you want to buy.
